Method Statement for Tension Working Load Test __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6
i. Prebored to the size of outer diameter temporary casing at the set out pile position to the depth of 1.5m to 2m whichever comes first governed by the existing ground water level from existing ground level. ii. Install temporary casing into ground by using Boring Rig's Kelly bar and pressin iii. In control the verticality of Tension Test pile during boring works, a temporary casing will be driven into the ground with minimum required length which shall be at least 1m beyond/exceeding the fill layer or more if requires. iv. The top of temporary casing will be raised above the ground at required level to attain the trench stability in accordance with PE's trench stability check. The trench stability calculation and the temporary support PE design calculation can be referred in approved method statement for Bored pile Construction.
4.2.2 Debonding of Tension Test Pile
In the proposed tension Test Pile , pile debonding will be considered from existing ground level 106.025 to 81.025mRL to eliminate any shaft resistance from top of the pile to pile C.O.l as test shall be carried out to determine actual pile shaft resistance of working pile.
The general sequence for the debonding works entails are as follows;
i. Preparation of Debonding Casing ii. Installation of Debonding Casing
4.2.2.1 Preparation of Debonding Casing
The method proposed for the debonding of Tension Test Pile is by debonding casing method. The material and preparation works involved prior installation of the debonding casing are as follows;
i. Provide 1600mm internal diameter casing with 8mmm thick and the debonding length will be provided up to the 300mm below design C.O.L or 80.725mRL. ii. The casing will be wrapped all round with proposed Bituthene 3000 debonding membrane that provides smooth surface that creates a debonding effect for the pile. iii. In additional measures to prevent the inflow of concrete into the annular space during concrete placing, 2 layers of 500mm x 25mm thick polystyrene plug will be installed at 500mm above the bottom of the debonding casing. The polystyrene will be wrapped on the debonding membrane surface at 6.0 meter interval vertically to prevent any damage to the debonding membrane during debonding casing installation.
The debonding casing detail and the proposed debonding material, Bituthene 3000 product detail and specification can be referred in Appendix C.
4.2.2.2 Installation of Debonding Casing
The sequences for debonding casing installation are as follows;
i. Installed 1800mm diameter outer temporary casing in accordance to the earlier explained section 4.2.1.
