Statement of purpose


I`m a kind of persons that I always follows my dreams, From the early stages
of my life I`m dreaming about getting a high grad education in which I fulfill
my technical knowledge and skills to make an academic achievement.

Based on my exceptional grades at high school, I chose to join petroleum
engineering career. After 5 years studying I discovered a lot more about
petroleum engineering career and I found that field significant enough to
spend my whole life doing it. At undergraduate level, my interests became
more focused reservoir engineering and specifically reservoir simulation is the
career that I feel that it fulfill my exceptional skills about computer
engineering and math in addition to my technical knowledge. That`s why I
would like to dig in the reservoir simulation and gain more and more
knowledge in this promising field of study.

From my point of view there is a lot to do to develop reservoir simulators and
we still need more enhancements in order to increase simulators reliability in
both conventional and more importantly- unconventional reservoirs. I wish
that I can get an opportunity to study and work on a reservoir simulation
project. For the reasons mentioned above I believe that a Master`s program is
the right start to achieve a fruitful personal career in the future of my life, to
increase a practical technical knowledge with reservoir engineering and
reservoir simulation and finally to begin a real research and development
program which enable me to make change in the industry.

In selecting the University of K.F.U.P.M.. I have been influenced by the way
your Master`s program as I have some colleges that have participated in this
program and they recommend me to join it. I am also excited to interact with
Professors whose work is closest to what I want to pursue for the original
research component of the MS degree. My colleagues informed me about the
collaborative environment where I will interact with talented students,
teachers and industry professionals. I believe that I will be able to contribute
to and learn from the academically challenging environment at the University
of K.F.U.P.M.
