The Standard Control Unit (SCU) provides detailed information and alarms regarding

the condition and status of the telecomsite's power plant. If maintenance and site
visits related to the power plant are based upon this information, they can be
optimized to save both time and money, especially if the site is located remotely.
The SCU is a hot pluggable unit optimal for use in both embedded or stand-alone
applications. It provides remote monitoring, configuration, status information and
control of the DC power plant's voltage, current and alarmlevels.
Designed for global use, the SCU withstands high telecomstandards, and provides
great reliability and availability.
In order to obtain detailed and extensive monitoring and control of auxiliary
equipment on site, the power plant can be upgraded froma SCU to a ACU by means
of a simple swap of the hot pluggable SCU and ACU units.
