A SPLIT / UNITARY AIR SYSTEMS
Systems with High Wall Split Units having required TR & Supply Air cfm.
Please note that selected system must meet SA as well as TR values. It is
suggested to have evaporator unit selected as per required cfm & coil for
cooling capacity whereas condensing unit selected as per required TR. The
System selected must meet COP/EER norms of latest international std. &
must have R134a /R407C Gas. They should have 5 star energy ratings.
System must be supplied with complete units, interconnecting hard Cu
tubing's (Average distance between Out-Door & In-Door unit will be 5 Meter
Vertical & 25 Meter Horizontal distance), Control box, operating panel or
pendant, supporting structure for In-door & out-door unit, including all
installation, commissioning, testing etc. (Please note that all the cassette
units shall have in-built drain pumps. The drains through these individual
indoor units shall be connected to the nearest drain points). The unit should
be with an arrangement so that it should provide heating in winter. Please
refer the split unit summary sheet and split unit location for further
Refernce. The units should be readlily accessible for maintenance and in
case of Ductable units the trapdoor dimensions should be indicated.

BIBO FILTER DETAILS
2 Stage BIBO Unit section : this section comprises of EU 8 and EU 14 filter
in Aluminium construction as per air flow diagram
BIBO filter section should be of Minimum 400 mm for 305mm Thick filter
size (for higher filter thickness ,difference in thickness will be added in pre-
filter section.)
BIBO FILTER ACCESS DOORS
Each filtration element location shall be provided with an access door to
remove the filtration element and replace it with another.
Access doors are single-wall type. A minimum of one handle is provide per
door.
BIBO FILTER-SEALING ASSEMBLY
The filter clamping devise (locking tray) shall be operated by means of a
standard wrench and from outside of the housing front and be an integral
part of the filter housing. The filter clamping mechanism shall be located on
the clean air side of the filter / adsorber (i.e. downstream side of the filter),
leaving the filter sealing mechanism to be located in clean air.
BIBO FILTER REMOVAL ROD
All filter housings is equipped with a filter removal rod assembly. The rod is
operated by hand. The filter removal rod can be operated within the glove of
the PVC filter bag.
FILTER CHANGE-OUT BAG
The filter change out bag shall be constructed of 8 mil thick Class 2 PVC
flexible material and shall be yellow in colour.
The filter bag shall be matted on one side to reduce static and shall be semi-
transparent. The filter bag shall have a clean portion at the mouth for visual
purposes and two (2) glove posts for filter manipulation and for the removal
of the bag stub after the initial change out.
TESTING
Bag In/Bag Out housings are factory pressure decay tested inaccordance
with ANSI/ASME-N510-1995 reaffirmed up to +/- 15 W.G.
Sizes of BIBO housing suitable for EU14 HEPA filters & EU8 filters
Return Air Fan section with Direct driven plug type fan, both Fan and motor,
should be mounted on common base frame.
Fan section length should be as per standard dimension of the fan required
to installed the fan in housing.
Exhaust air Module With Motorized Damper & extended Stem
Sandwich type insulated drain pan ,drain pan should be 18 G SS 304
construction
Supply Air Fan section with Direct driven plug type fan, both Fan and motor,
should be mounted on common base frame.
Fan section length should be as per standard dimension of the fan required
to installed the fan in housing.
Microvee filter (EU 8)section with M.V. filter In Aluminium construction as per

construction .There should be Provision for View Glass in the Fan Section
There should be access door across every section of AHU
There should be opening for cables in fan section and in mixing chamber
section for temp. sensors .
The provision to be made for DP Switches across all filters and Fan
sections
Wherever dehumidified air quantity is less than supply air quantity, bypass
damper is to be provided in aluminum aerofoil blade construction. Bypass
damper should be operated from outside the AHU.
The air handling units should have aluminium aerofoil blade Motorised
volume control dampers at fresh air & exhaust air & in mixing chamber.
All Motorized Dampers with extended stem are in HVAC Scope (As shown in
AFD)
Rubber pads for Mounting AHU's should be provided between the skid and
foundation blocks
1) Fan and motor should be selected for 10% extra capacity.
2) Refer AFD For individual AHU Arrangement.
3) For FLP AHU,Blower should be spark proof & Motor should be
Flameproof.Marine lamp and limit switch should be selected to suit
flameproof requirement

1 AHU Panel
To supply, Install, Test and Commission control panels for AHUs. The
panels will be mounted on MS fabricated frames. Access will be from the
front side. Ventilation will be by an exhaust fan installed at side of panel.
The degree of protection will be IP52. The panels will be as per NEMA 1
and 3R. Cable entry will be from top through removable bolted gland plates.
The panel will be fabricated from MS and will be epoxy paint powder
coated. The paint shade will be RAL 7032. The panel shall include all the
components, switchgears, VFDs, feeders for Dehumidifiers control logic and
interlocks as stated in the SLD.
Panel with RYB Indicators, suitable capacity of MCCB, with digital type ,By-

airflow accuracy to ensure that the controller and actuator are operating

stable shaped multi-profile casing and manufactured from galvanized sheet
steel, internally lined with 25 mm thickness fiber glass insulated with
marglass with density of 32 kg/m3. The insulation material should be an
acoustical and thermal insulation,erosion resistant up to 20 m/s air velocity
across its face.The insulation material should be successfully tested to BS
476 Part 6, 1989 and Part 7, 1997 for fire propagation and surface spread of
flame respectively.All rubber tubing and plastic accessories used on the
terminal units should be UL listed as flame retardant material. Airflow
sensor tubes are from aluminium tubing.The Unit should be suitable for an
airflow ranging from 45 to 4100 l/s (162 to14760 m3/h) with a maximum
volume control range of 5:1 and with typical airflow accuracy of 5% and
the static differential pressure range should be 20 to 1000 Pa.The units

BIBO FILTER DETAILS
2 Stage BIBO Unit section : this section comprises of EU 8 and
EU 14 filter in Aluminium construction as per air flow diagram
BIBO filter section should be of Minimum 400 mm for 305mm
Thick filter size (for higher filter thickness ,difference in thickness
will be added in pre-filter section.)
BIBO FILTER ACCESS DOORS
Each filtration element location shall be provided with an access
door to remove the filtration element and replace it with another.
Access doors are single-wall type. A minimum of one handle is
provide per door.
BIBO FILTER-SEALING ASSEMBLY
The filter clamping devise (locking tray) shall be operated by
means of a standard wrench and from outside of the housing
front and be an integral part of the filter housing. The filter
clamping mechanism shall be located on the clean air side of the
filter / adsorber (i.e. downstream side of the filter), leaving the
filter sealing mechanism to be located in clean air.
BIBO FILTER REMOVAL ROD
All filter housings is equipped with a filter removal rod assembly.
The rod is operated by hand. The filter removal rod can be
operated within the glove of the PVC filter bag.
FILTER CHANGE-OUT BAG
The filter change out bag shall be constructed of 8 mil thick Class

The filter clamping devise (locking tray) shall be operated by
means of a standard wrench and from outside of the housing
front and be an integral part of the filter housing. The filter
clamping mechanism shall be located on the clean air side of the
filter / adsorber (i.e. downstream side of the filter), leaving the
filter sealing mechanism to be located in clean air.

The panels will be mounted on MS fabricated frames. Access will
be from the front side. Ventilation will be by an exhaust fan
installed at side of panel. The degree of protection will be IP52.
The panels will be as per NEMA 1 and 3R. Cable entry will be
from top through removable bolted gland plates. The panel will be
fabricated from MS and will be epoxy paint powder coated. The
paint shade will be RAL 7032. The panel shall include all the
components, switchgears, VFDs, feeders for Dehumidifiers
