Theatre Unleashed invites the L.A.

community to come play with us in Passages
The company introduces a one-act play festival designed to reach out to members of
the L.A. theatre community and have them perform in TU member-directed pieces.
LOS AN!L!S " When Theatre Unleashed was founded over six years ago, two of
the companys defining principles were encouraging members to develop their own
concepts and collaboration with the L.A. theatre community as a whole. With TUs next
show Passages, running ay !"#$% at The &elfry 'tage in (orth )ollywood, the
company is showing those principles remain strong.
Passages is a one#act play festival with individual pieces written and directed by
Theatre Unleashed members that feature independent actors and theatre artists from
other companies in the roles.
*The path to creating Passages was inspired by the desire to give some great original
plays a bigger place in the spotlight as well as to broaden our footprint within the Los
Angeles theatre community, giving non#TU members the opportunity to perform with
our company,+ said Ann )urd, the shows creator.
Passages is the latest in a pac,ed season for Theatre Unleashed that ,ic,ed off with a
highly successful run of Tartuffe and the return of our Late (ight 'eries show Tales of
an Unsettled City. The rest of the ain 'tage season will include the West -oast debut
of the new play by .ustin oran /The Spidey Project0 called POPE! An Epic Musical
and the return of the holiday tradition KA! Presents "t#s a onderful !ife$ A %adio
Play for the Stage. TU will also once again be a strong presence at the )ollywood
1ringe 1estival, bringing bac, the cult classic &' Plays Per (our and the critically
acclaimed )riends !i*e These.
