Known issues / obsolescence
None.

Actix Analyzer Update January 2012 3
2 New collection device or technology support
2.1 Ascom TEMS support
[Case 60894, 63968] A problem has been resolved that prevented
Analyzer from correctly recognizing LG VL600 devices.
[Case 63858] A problem has been resolved that prevented Qualcomm
LTE protocol messages from being decoded.
CDMA analysis in Analyzer now uses the attribute
PN_Scanner_Channel to create separate scanner frequency streams.
2.2 Couei / XCAL support
[Case 61153] A problem has been resolved that could cause log files
containing a Nokia 6720 device to fail to load because of high memory
usage.
2.3 Datapro support
[Case 63683] Improved timestamp decoding for new LTE devices.
2.4 Huawei CT support
[Case 63444] Added support for CHR message Fault Single User Log.
2.5 Motorola CT support
[Case 63057, 63957] Added event detection support for Motorola 2G
call trace.
2.6 Nemo support
[Case 64345, 64373, 64549] Added support for Nemo Outdoor 6.1.0
corresponding to file format version 2.12.

Actix Analyzer Update January 2012 4
2.7 NSN ICSU / Megamon support
[Case 64311] RRC Cell Update messages are now tracked, and as a
consequence, Analyzer can now detect RRC Reestablishment
procedures.
[Case 64206] A problem has been resolved that could set the attribute
MsIMSI to multiple values for a single RRC connection.
2.8 Qualcomm chipset support
In LTE, new versions of the following messages are now supported:
0xB13C LTE LL1 PUCCH Tx report, version 4
0xB16E LTE ML1 PUSCH power control, version 4
0xB16F LTE ML1 PUCCH power control, version 4
[Case 63858] LTE measurements attributes (such as
LTE_UE_Power_Tx_PUCCH, LTE_UE_FrameUsage_UL) are now
set at 0xB16E LTE ML1 PUSCH power control and 0xB16F LTE ML1
PUCCH power control messages.
[Case 63073] In LTE, a new attribute LTE_UE_RLC_NumNACKs_UL is
set to the number of RLC uplink PDUs that were NACKed by the eNode
B.
[Case 62996] In LTE, a new attribute
LTE_UE_PDCP_PDU_Discarded_DL is set to the number of missing
PDCP packets in the downlink.
[Case 62995] In LTE, two new attributes have been created for the SNR
measured by the UE for each Rx-Tx pair:
LTE_UE_SNR_Rx0
LTE_UE_SNR_Rx1
[Case 61963, 62144] In LTE, a new preference has been introduced
under Tools > Preferences > General Settings > LTE > Create per-TTI
attributes. When this preference is enabled, Analyzer sets new array
attributes for the most important LTE measurements to give the user
access to every individual measurements made by the Qualcomm
device. This is useful for instance when creating detailed reports.
[Case 57738] A problem has been resolved with Qualcomm message
0xB17F LTE ML1 serving cell measurements and evaluation that
affected how attribute LTE_UE_RSSI is calculated.
[Case 64284] A problem has been resolved that could cause Analyzer to
fail to recognize a device if there were too many debug messages
logged in the log file.
2.9 SwissQual Diversity support
[Case 63834] Added support for CDMA and EVDO.

Actix Analyzer Update January 2012 5
2.10 Generic
LTE event detection can now detect handover failures from LTE to
UMTS.
[Case 63107] LTE event detection now supports CS fallback from LTE to
GSM.
[Case 63714] In UMTS, a new threshold has been introduced under
Tools > Display Thresholds > UMTS > Event_control >
Uu_CallDropped_Normal_CC_Causes_range. It controls which Call
Control Disconnect message causes of type normal event are
considered as normal release causes by Analyzer event detection. The
normal event call control causes range from 0 to 31, and are
represented as a bitmap where the LSB represents cause value 0 and
the MSB represents cause value 31.
By default, all the normal event call control causes are considered as
normal release causes, and therefore the default bitmap is 0xFFFFFFFF.
One can remove normal event cause value n (with 0 n 31) from
the bitmap by computing the following: 0xFFFFFFFF 2
n
.
Note that the bitmap is represented as a decimal number in the
threshold dialog box, so the default value is 0xFFFFFFFF = 4294967295.

Actix Analyzer Update January 2012 6
3 Application layer improvements
3.1 Drilldown queries for LTE call trace files
Two new queries are available to analyze LTE call trace files and
drilldown into individual connections.

3.2 New Spotlight KPIs for LTE to UMTS handover
Two new KPIs are available in Spotlight for LTE to UMTS handover
success rate and failure rate:

3.3 UMTS stateform improvement
[Case 62090] The UMTS Active + Monitored Set stateform now
displays the serving UARFCN as well as the best inter-freq neighbour
cell. The position of the best inter-frequency cell measurements in the
table indicates its strength compared to the cells of the monitored set.

Actix Analyzer Update January 2012 9
4 Platform improvements
4.1 Added support PDF/CDF visualization in charts.
[Case 60766] It is now possible to visualize the probability distribution
function (PDF) and the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of an
attribute in the chart view.
