About Yotsukaido
The campus ensconced within rich greenery in Yotsukaido City, Chiba Prefecture, is halfway
between the heart of Tokyo and Narita Airport. It takes only an hour to get to Tokyo by train.
The nearest station to the campus also offers easy access to Narita International Airport, a
gateway to the world. Furthermore, Chiba City where one million people reside is only a ten-
minute train ride away. The campus with its convenient access to such major landmarks
offers a variety of cultural initiatives.

History

Oda Education Foundation was incorporated.
Aikoku Womens Commercial School was approved by the Minister of Education.
04/1947 Aikoku Junior High School was established under the new educational system.
04/1948 Aikoku High School was established.
03/1951
Aikoku Gakuen Incorporated Foundation changed into Aikoku Gakuen Incorporated
Educational Institution under the new educational system.

Every year, the university offers six batches of open campus. International students are
especially guided through the campus (available upon request in advance). Upon request, an
expositor will be sent to the language or vocational schools where the international students
currently study, for explaining the admission process of the university including entrance
examinations.
Admission for International Students
Aikoku Gakuen University has had international students from many countries including
China, Vietnam, and Korea. After their graduation, many of these students found
employment at companies in Japan.
Support facilities at the university that make campus life enjoyable for international
students:
1. Reduced tuition term: The tuition term for international students can be reduced to a
maximum of four years. However, from the second year onwards, the decision of
reduction is subject to the percentage of attendance in the previous academic year
2. Scholarships: Scholarships for international students are available from the Aikoku
Gakuen University Study Promotion Society, Japanese governmental organizations,
as also other scholarships
3. Support services from admission to graduation: International students are supported in
many ways through conscientious guidance by professors in charge of each academic
year
4. Special classes for international students: International students are provided with
reliable guidance in education and a special learning environment for improving their
knowledge of the Japanese language and about Japan; the classes offered are
Japanese I A, I B, II A, II B, and Japanese affairs I and II
established.

Aikoku Gakuen Ryugasaki High School attached to the Junior College was
established.
02/1969 Vocational School for nursery was established.

Aikoku Gakuen Womens Junior College changed into Aikoku Gakuen Junior
College
03/1980
Aikoku Gakuen Yotsukaido High School attached to the Junior College was
established.
04/1998 Aikoku Gakuen University was established.
5. Counselling for further studies: There are counselling services for graduate students
who wish to pursue the Research Student Course of Aikoku Gakuen University or
move to graduate schools of other universities
6. Information services: The Administrative Office provides information to international
students about the availability of accommodation such as dormitories or private
apartments
Making the best use of the distinctive features of a small university, Aikoku Gakuen
University offers international students detailed guidance and thoughtful learning instructions
so that each international student can lead a happy campus life.
The bulletin boards at the Career Counselling Room have hundreds of job offers on display.
Additionally, the staff members are continuously working towards increasing the number of
new job offers.
Career guidance is provided to all students from the time they register for job search. They
are also given guidance on collecting information on job offers, reading job-offer cards,
preparing applications, finding job offers on the Internet, visiting companies for obtaining
additional information, preparing for interviews, and so on. Aikoku Gakuen University takes
pride in supporting all its students to the fullest by making good use of its own
knowledgebase.
