Love the City Beautiful this week. Did you know we serve
breakfast to the homeless community of Orlando every
Sunday morning? We average 150 people; over 7,000
breakfasts served each year through a partnership of our
Compassion Corner ministry with Central Care Mission. We
ofer a hot meal with cofee and a time of worship together
each week, and theres a spot for you to come and serve
any Sunday. This is also a great opportunity for families to
learn about humble and respectful mission together. To join
in, meet at 6:15am in Lee Fellowship Hall.
THIS WEEK
South Orange Ave. will be
closed between Anderson
St. & South St. beginning
Saturday, July 19 through

unavailable during this time.
Streets immediately around

prayers those recently hospitalized or recuperating at
home: Woody Blaker, Jean Yothers, and Gray Williams.

RECYCLE YOUR BULLETIN
8:30am & 9:45am worshipers can help the church be better
stewards of our resources and environment by placing
this worship bulletin in one of our recycling stations as you
leave today.
There are two right outside the Sanctuary: one in the Grand
Hallway leading to the Edington Ministry Center, and one
across from the entrance to the Prayer Room. If youre in
Lee Fellowship Hall, look for one to the right of the exit as
you leave.
The bulletins are reused for the 11:00am worship
service, and recycled on Monday morning.

NOTES
FAMILIES AT FIRST PRES
First Pres has three rooms to help young families on Sun-
day mornings: one nursing room for mothers & infants, next
to the Prayer Room, between the Sanctuary and Lee Fellow-
ship Hall, and a second nursing room for mothers & infants,
on the 1st oor of Clayton Life Center next to the elevators.
In addition, we have a Family Room for infants, children and
dads :-) , also on the rst oor of Clayton Life Center.
All three rooms have a live television feed from the worship
services.
Good morning everyone and welcome back to worship! I
trust you had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend and that
no houses were burned to the ground due to improper
Black Cat usage.
For the next two weeks Braiden Wood, Luke Domeck,
Danny Strong, Jacob Morton, and I will be leading worship
at Fun In The Son in Hilton Head. Some friends of mine,
whom I love and trust to lead worship well, are stepping in
today and next Sunday.
Dave Burleson is leading for me this week. He currently
serves on the Summit staf and is a great musician &
worship leader. Be blessed by his leadership today!

G E N E S I S WOR S H I P T R A D I T I ON A L WOR S H I P
The human will is a paradoxical mystery. Paul, in the latter
part of his life, writes in Romans that he does not do what
he wants to do, and, in fact, all too often does the very
thing he does not want to do. The worship service today
points us in the direction of choosing to do Gods will. One
of the challenges of our societys ability to think comes to
the surface at this very place. The false assumption of our
culture is that if we simply know enough, we will choose
rightly. In this kind of thinking, our societal problem is a lack
of education on various matters. We need to spend more
time and money on educating people and then they will
do the right thing, or so goes the logic! The truth is, in your
life and mine, there are plenty of times when weve known
the right thing to do, and did the opposite, not because we
were ignorant, but because we were willful. In His prayer,
Jesus makes very clear that Gods will is done in heaven
and that you and I have a chance to do His will here on
earth. May this morning worship strengthen our will to do
His will. - Dr. Dan Sharp

*Passing of the Peace & Pastoral Notes
St. Paul always greeted with the words, The peace of God be
with you. This is an appropriate way to greet fellow brothers
and sisters in Christ, and so we say, The peace of the Lord be
with you and respond, And also with you. We then pass this
greeting of peace to one another. At the passing of the peace
we should earnestly desire Gods peace upon each person we
greet.
