History

Batas Story Begins in 1894

Bata was founded by three siblings with a small inheritance in the town of Zlin, Czechoslovakia
on August 24, 1894. _It was one of the worlds first shoe manufacturers; a team of stitchers
and shoemakers creating footwear not just for neighbours, but for distant retail merchants.
Less than 10 years later, Bata produced 2200 pairs per day, employing resourceful imaginations,
skilled hands and modern machinery to keep up with demand. Innovative shoes styles were
developed with new customer-sensitive ways to promote them. And despite the outbreak of the
First World War, material shortages, manpower shortages, and cartels, sales increased to about
two million pairs per year by 1917. The Bata legacy had just begun.
In Zlin, Bata built housing, schools and hospitals around the factory for its workers and their
families- a design it would replicate in other parts of the world in years to come. Bata provided
inexpensive rent and food during very difficult times, because founder Tomas Bata firmly
believed business should serve the public

Success Through Innovation
After World War I, Tomas conceived a plan to adjust to post-war economic difficulties by
reducing the price of shoes by 50%. Workers agreed to a 40 percent wage cut and in return Bata
provided food, clothing and other necessitates at half price. The bold move proved successful.
Bata stores flooded with customers.
Well ahead of his its time, Bata created autonomous workshops and departments which
allowed employees to contribute ideas and affect their own earnings by performing on behalf of
department profitability.
New companies were established in France, Austria, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Egypt,
Belgium, Finland, Luxembourg, Hungary, Italy, Indonesia, Singapore and India. The first foreign
plants were built at Mhlin, Switzerland and Calcutta, India. Plants and surrounding villages
were often modeled after Zlin. Under the guidance of a young Thomas J. Bata and others, many
foreign sales organizations were created and additional plants established at an average rate of at
least two per year until the 1960s.
From the 70s to the 90s
At the beginning of World War II Bata employed 42,000 people. After the war, when
Communist governments nationalized all Bata companies in Eastern Europe, Bata persevered by
rebuilding itself from the remaining entities located outside Eastern Europe. The sale of
mainstays such as the ladies pump skyrocketed and the company once again flourished.
Thomas J. Bata, the founders son, made a courageous move to Canada with over 100 families
and established the Bata Shoe Company of Canada. By mid-century, Bata was positioned as the
worlds leading footwear exporter.
During the 70s, 80s and 90s, as Thomas G. Bata prepared to accept responsibility for managing
world-wide operations, the father and son team began re-defining the organization using new,
innovative strategies guided by Batas founding principles which focused on customers,
marketing and employees. Branded products, innovative retail store concepts, lifestyle
merchandising, and the addition of non-footwear products are just a few of the novel concepts
Bata introduced. Today, Bata sells about 270 million pair of shoes through companies in more
than 70 countries.

The Air blue airline was founded in 2003 and since 18 June 2004 with three leased Airbus
A320-200 aircraft serving Karachi Lahore and Karachi-Islamabad with three daily flights in each
direction. The airline was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan
Air blue During the first year the airline became very popular, which allowed the airline to
compete directly with the national airline PIA and the two other private carriers. This allowed the
airline to expand into more cities in Pakistan including Peshawar, Quetta and Nawabshah. On 14
August 2005 (Pakistan's 58th Independence Day) Air blue launched its first international flight
from Karachi to Dubai. On 4 June 2007, Air blue launched its first flight to Manchester with the
Airbus A321.
New destinations
Expansion plans include Bahrain, Bangkok, Birmingham, Colombo, Copenhagen, Delhi, Dhaka,
Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, London-Gatwick, Mumbai and Singapore. At home they want to
start Multan and Sialkot.

Expected excellence
Airblue Limited is a private airline with its head office on the 12th floor of the Islamabad Stock
Exchange (ISE) Towers in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is Pakistan's second largest airline with a
growing share of the domestic market.

Airblue's fleet consists of next-generation Airbus A319, A320 and A340 aircraft.

Led by a team with decades of experience in the industry, airblue embodies a new era in
passenger air travel. The company's shareholding structure includes a group of investors
including Mr. Tariq Chaudhary with majority stake. Mr. Chaudhary also serves as CEO and
Chairman of the Board.

Airblue operates scheduled flights linking four domestic destinations Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi
and Peshawar with international destinations of UAE airports Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, as
well as Muscat, Oman, Manchester and Birmingham UK, and most recently Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia.

Airblue has integrated unique innovations to ensure security and affordability. Among these are
complete online reservation systems, online reservation hold/in person payment at various
locations, electronic document handling, and mobile airport check in procedures. Airblue was the
first airline in Pakistan to introduce e-ticketing, wireless check-in and self check-in kiosk
facilities

Services
Air blue currently operates a mixture the Airbus A321, A320 and A319. All aircraft are in a 3 x 3
all-economy layout. There are several screens overhead arranged for several rows. The airline
dropped the business class section by exogenous economic factors. The layout is 2 x 2 with
onboard TV and leather seats.
e Ticketing
Air blue was the first airline in Pakistan to introduce e-ticketing, wireless check-in and self-
check-in kiosk facilities. The airline was also a member of the Sabre system, which is used by
more than a hundred airlines to help it with ticket automation services.
On Air Deal

FASB growing airline, announced at Mobile On Air voice
and data services to up to 12 launch of the Airbus A320
aircraft from 2009.

alliance with the Royal Bank of Scotland Limited (RBS) to start their summer promotion on their
credit card.

for credit cards and privileged customers. The lounge offers a range of Internet, cable television,
newspapers and magazines, massage chairs and a snack bar. It is the international wing of the
airport.
Joint venture with Air JS
To comply with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations of the airline increased its
operation to the socio-economic lines Nawabshah in central Sindh fly but the service was soon
suspended due to low load factors, and the unsuitability of the A320 for this route. The
suspension means that Air blue compliant with CAA regulations and had therefore incurred
penalty fees.
To overcome the issue of non-compliance Air blue in a joint venture with start-up charter airline
JS Air to enter, to operate flights on their behalf on socio-economic routes. This is the first time
introduced in Pakistan's aviation history that two carriers entered into a joint venture agreement.
The first objective of this agreement, the port city of Gwadar, which the network Air blue 17
June was joined and served twice daily, except Fridays, from Karachi. The flights were
performed using JS Air 19-seat Beech 1900C aircraft which are designed to serve low yield
commuting destinations. This service was suspended in 2007 due to lack of demand despite the
use of suitable aircraft.
Saving measures
To address the fuel price hike worldwide are converting their fleet to Air blue all economy class.
This applies also to their new aircraft to be delivered from 2009 applied. They are also provided
with solid food and replaced them with sandwiches and pastries. In 2006 admitted Air blue with
china service for meals in economy class to save cost and weight and replaced it with plastic
products according to standard practice. Sometimes scheduled flights to be canceled for austerity
measures.

Home page
This is the home page of Emirates air line we select the Emirates for the Ecommerce project for
purchasing the online ticket.

History
On 25th October 1985, Emirates flew its first routes out of Dubai with just two aircrafta leased
Boeing 737 and an Airbus 300 B4. Then as now, our goal was quality, not quantity, and in the
years since taking those first small steps onto the regional travel scene, Emirates has evolved into
a globally influential travel and tourism conglomerate known the world over for our commitment
to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of our business.
Though wholly owned by the Government of Dubai, Emirates has grown in scale and stature not
through protectionism but through competitioncompetition with the ever-growing number of
international carriers that take advantage of Dubais open-skies policy. Not only do we support
that policy, but we see it as vital to maintaining our identity and our competitiveness. After
making its initial start-up investment, the Government of Dubai saw fit to treat Emirates as a
wholly independent business entity, and today we are thriving because of it. The airline has
recorded an annual profit in every year since its third in operation.
Continuing our explosive growth while continually striving to provide the best service in the
industry is the secret of Emirates success. The airline's business includes:
An award-winning international cargo division
A full-fledged destination management and leisure division
An airline IT developer.
With a fleet of more than 200 aircraft, we currently fly to over 130 destinations in more than 70
countries around the world, and our network is expanding constantly. Over 1,200 Emirates
flights depart Dubai each week on their way to destinations on six continents. In fact, Emirates
flights account for nearly 40 per cent of all flight movements in and out of Dubai International
Airport. In recent years, Emirates has made numerous significant announcements regarding the
future of its already state-of-the-art fleet.
In 2001, Emirates demonstrated its confidence in the industrys future growth by announcing the
largest order in aviation history, valued at USD 15 billion. A staggering 58 new aircraft, a mix of
Airbus and Boeing, were to join the rapidly expanding fleet.
In 2005, Emirates announced the largest-ever order for the Boeing 777 family of aircraft - 42 in
all in a deal worth Dhs 35.7 billion (USD 9.7 billion).
At the 2006 Farnborough Air Show, Emirates signed a Heads of Agreement for 10 of Boeings
new 747-8F aircraft, to be powered by General Electrics GEnx jet engines, in a deal worth USD
3.3 billion.
At the Dubai Airshow in November 2007, Emirates announced a historic civil aviation aircraft
order when it signed contracts for 120 Airbus A350s, 11 A380s, and 12 Boeing 777-300ERs,
worth an estimated USD 34.9 billion in list prices. The agreement with Airbus comprises firm
orders for 50 A350-900s and 20 A350-1000s, plus 50 options for the A350-900s. The first A350
will be delivered to Emirates in 2015. During 2010, in line with the airlines strategic growth
plan, Emirates significantly increased its order for new aircraft. In June at the Berlin Airshow,
Emirates announced an order for an additional 32 Airbus A380s and in July at the Farnborough
Airshow, 30 more Boeing 777-300ERs were ordered. The combined value of these orders is
USD 13.4 billion.
In 2011 at the Dubai Airshow, Emirates placed the single largest aircraft order in dollar value in
Boeings history when it requested an additional 50 777-300ERs, worth approximately USD 18
billion. The order also included 20 777-300 ER options valued at USD 8 billion, for a total of 70
aircraft valued at USD 26 billion.
Underscoring its incredible growth, the airline is currently the worlds largest operator of both
the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777.
Emirates order-book stands at more than 230 aircraft, with a total value of approximately USD
84 billion as of November 2011. In combination with what is already one of the youngest and
one of the most modern fleets in worldwide commercial aviation, this commitment to the future
reflects our goal to develop Dubai into a comprehensive, global, long-haul aviation hub.
In the financial year 2011/2012, Emirates carried 34 million passengers and 1.8 million tonnes of
cargo. We look forward to a bright future in which we carry many millions more across a
growing network of international destinations.
