CHECK LIST FUEL OIL SPECIFICATIONS
-Deck connections for Diesel Oil
-Deck drains for processing through the oil water separators.
-Diesel oil transfer pumps shall be operated remotely from the central control room along
with all valves indicated on the drawing as being power operated.
- Oil tanks in the lower hulls shall be provided with remote reading level sensors displaying
on the control console.
- Oil day tank and storage tanks shall each be provided with high-low level alarms arranged
to sound and display in the central control room.
- The diesel oil day and storage tanks shall each have the capacity to provide for operation
of the diesel generators under full DPS-2 conditions
- Diesel oil filling stations port and starboard on the main deck shall be provided by the
builder with 2 flowmeters. !uel oil flow results must be diplayed at The "achinery
"anagement#S$%-&''(
- 2 #two( !uel oil loading hoses 4 I.D., 150, 100 psi
-The diesel oil service pumps shall take suction from the day tanks via a strainer and
discharge emergency diesel generator storage tank and other services as re)uired.
-*uilder shall provide diesel oil lines to the reserve and active mud pits. The diesel oil
system shall be able to deliver at least 150 GPM .
-The diesel oil purifiers shall be arranged to take suction from and discharge to both the
diesel oil settling tank and the diesel oil day tanks.
-The diesel oil settling tank diesel oil day tanks boiler service tank and emergency
generator oil storage tanks shall each be provided with local direct reading level gauges
graduated in feet and gallons.
-The fuel oil settling and day tank shall be provided with high-low level alarm arranged to
sound in the +%, *%, and the Secondary DP Station through the P"S.
-!uel oil shall be supplied to the cement unit.
-The remote operated valves in this system shall be e)uipped with electrically operated
intrinsically safe actuators and shall have position indication markers locally and remotely
through P"S.

-The *uilder shall ensure that all valves reali-ing static head from the tanks holding fuel or
lub oil in this system are e)uipped with *uilder furnishedand installed and .*S approved
positive closing shut off valves actuated from safe location outside the space. These shut
off valves shall have position indication through P"S.
- Diesel oil tanks valves shall be provided with emergency shut down and fitted with pull
cable rods or may be electric or pneumatic type as shown on the %ontract Drawings.
- /aste discharge from the Diesel Oil purifiers shall be piped to the separator tank.
- Diesel Oil Purifier will be two #2( .lpha-0aval ".* or e)ual purifier centrifuges one on each
engine room. The units shall be complete with stainless steel bowl assembly inlet and outlet pumps
motor alarm panel and all standard e)uipment.
-%oamings shall be furnished and installed as re)uired by .*S around fuel oil pumps
- "otor control centers for fuel oil transfer pumps and similar fuel pumps shall be fitted
for remote shutdown from a readily accessible position outside of the space concerned so
that they may be stopped in the event of fire in the compartment in which they are located.

,igid lines shall be provided with the following configurations6
-. 1000psi diesel oil line from the well test to the burner booms
Directional valves shall be provided on the lines of diesel gas oil water air and
vent to divert the flow to one or other burner.
8t shall be provided a diesel oil outlet in the well test area with 2< 4PT connection
and an air compressed outlet with =< 4PT as well.
