H(225) Authentic Hadith Series 4 [79 to 85]
(79) The Mutual Rivalry (for hoarding worldly things) Preoccupy You:
Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir R.A. reported, I came to the Prophet SAWS while he was reciting (Surat At-Takathur
102),
The mutual rivalry (for hoarding worldly things) preoccupies you. Until you visit the graves (i.e., till you die). Nay!
You shall come to know! Again nay! You shall come to know! Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end
result of hoarding, you would not have been occupied in worldly things). Verily, you shall see the blazing Fire
(Hell)! And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! Then (on that Day) you shall be asked about the delights
(You indulged in, in this world)![At-Takathur 102 :1-8]
(After reciting) he SAWS said, Son of Adam says, My wealth, my wealth. Do you own of your wealth other than
what you eat and consume, and what you wear and wear out, or what you give in Sadaqah (charity) (to those who
deserve it), and that what you will have in stock for yourself.{Muslim][Riyad-us-Saliheen Vol.1, Hadith 483]
This Hadith enjoins that if a person is given wealth, he should spendit in the ways liked by Allah because it is this
Sadaqah which will be a valuable treasure in the Afterlife. Whatever else he consumes in this world, will finish or
rot in this world and will be of no avail in Hereafter.
(80) The Width between the Two Shoulders of Disbeliever:
Narrated abu Hurairah R.A., The Prophet SAWS said, The width between the two shoulders of a Kafir
(disbeliever) will be equal to the distance covered by a fast rider in three days.[Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith
No.559A].
(82) The Degree of Kinship:
Degree of kinship, First of all, your parents, then your offspring, then your brothers and sisters, then your paternal
uncles and aunts (from your fathers side), then your maternal uncles and aunts (from your mothers side), and
then other relatives.
Totally for Allahs sake and in accordance with the Sunah (legal ways) of the Prophet SAWS in a perfect manner,
and giving (help) to kith and kin (i.e., all that Allah has ordered you to give them e.g., wealth, visiting, looking after
them or any other kind of help).[An-Nahl 16:90].
(83) Invisible Veil:
And when you (Muhammad SAWS) recite the Quran, We put between you and those who believe not in the
Hereafter, an invisible veil (or screen their hearts, so they hear or understand it not).[Al-Isra 17 :45]
It is said in the Book of Tafsir (Imam Qurtubi) as regards this Verse (17:45).
Narrated Said bin Jubair R.A., When the Surah No.111 (Tabbat Yada) was revealed, the wife of Abu Lahab came
looking for the Prophet SAWS while Abu Bakr R.A. was sitting beside him. Abu Bakr said to the Prophet SAWS , I
wish if you get aside (or go away) as she is coming to us, she may harm you. The prophet SAWS said, There will
be a screen set between me and her. So she did not see him. She said to Abu Bakr, Your companion is saying
poetry against me. Abu Bakr said, By allah, he does not say poetry. She said, Do you believe that? Then she
left. Abu Bakr said, O allahs Messenger! She did not see you. The Prophet SAWS said, An angel was
screening me from her.[This Hadith is quoted in Musnad Abu Yala]
It is said that if the above Verse (17:45) is recited by a real believer (of Islamic Monotheism) he will be screened
from a disbeliever. (Allah knows better).[Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol.10, Page 269]
(81) Among Allahs Signs Is Your Sleep:
And among His Signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Verily, in that are indeed
signs for a people who listen[Ar-Rum 30 :23]
It is a sign from among the Signs of Allah that a person goes to sleep; the medical world up to now does not know
exactly why a person goes to sleep. There are only theories. So this Quran is a miracle from Allah, and not an
invented tale as the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah) argue.
(84) Remembering Allah:
And the men and the women who remember Allah much with their hearts and tongues.[Al-Ahzab 33 :35]
Remember Allah (while sitting, standing, lying for more that 300 times extra over the rememberance of Allah
during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawafil prayers of night in the last
part of night.)
(85) Allah Created His Creation in Darkness:
Abdullah bin Amr, R.A. who said, I heard the Messenger of Allah SAWS say:Allah created His creation in
darkness, then on the same day He sent His Light upon them. Whoever was touched by His Light on that day will
be guided and whoever was missed will be led astray. Hence I say: the pens have dried in accordance with the
knowledge of Allah, may He be glorified.[Ahmad 2:176].
(86) Bearer of Allahs Throne:
It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah R.A. that the Messenger of Allah SAWS said, I have been given
permission to speak of one of the angels of Allah, one of the bearesrs of the Throne. The distance between his
earlobe and his shoulder is like the distance of seven hundred years travel.[Sunan Abu Dawud Hadith No.4727]
