Abstract
The coexistence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in China is phenomenal through world cultural history, which was
explained by putting emphasis on the particularity or complementarity of those three doctrines. We proposed that, Chinese longterm self-assertiveness demands and their evolution lead to enduring competitions among them and eventual fusion of them, within
Chinese Cognitive Membrane. It is emphasized that Chinese Cognitive Membrane needs further fusion with spirits of modern
science and western philosophy to construct prospective world views, values and molarity, based on the importance of selfassertiveness demands in social developments.
Keywords: Confucianism; Buddhism; Taoism; Fusion; Cognitive Membrane
