Saturn: - Saturn is outer planet in our geographical system. Saturn
holds very important place in Vedic astrology. There are various
myths about Saturn. Saturn is regarded as very cruel planet.
Actually, it gives results according to one own deeds. Its Results are
very harsh depending upon the position of Saturn in horoscope.
Saturn is Natural Malefic planet which means it gives bad results to
human being. But every time it not the case. If Saturn is in its
exaltation raasi or in own house then it becomes functional benefic
which means it will act beneficially in one horoscope. Saturn bestows
name fame and good results which ultimately depends upon where
Saturn is placed beneficially in one horoscope. For ex- If Saturn is
placed in 4th house in Libra in its exaltation rasi in birth chart then it
will give land, vehicle to person. So whole chart need to be studied
before making any judgment related to Saturn.
Now question comes to mind why Saturn is so dreaded planet in
Vedic astrology. Saturn is planet of justice, it just gives punishment
for any wrong doing intentionally or unintentionally. If you have done
intentional harm then you can have greater punishment as compared
to unintentional harm. That is why it is one of the remedy of Saturn to
help peoples so harmful effects can be minimized. Saturn worst

when from Moon sign (Chandra rassi) Saturn transits in 12th, 1st and
2nd house. Its worst effect would be if Saturn acts malefic ally in one
birth chart. So results vary from house to house. In its 1st dhayya
(period of 2nd and half years) Saturn gives mental tension, Worries,
disgrace, delays, disappointment, dejection, problems in feet, ulcers,
leg pain.
In 2nd dhayya Saturn gives pain to one self in form of headaches,
mental agony, depression, difficulty in concentrating. Problems at job
front etc.
In 3rd dhayya Saturn exhibit worst effects especially in financial front,
one can take wrong decisions relating to investments, financial
problem, shortage of funds, wrong speech, family life may get
disturbed and even may or may not death of relative but again results
vary as according to birth chart.
If Powerful Jupiter is with Saturn or aspecting Saturn then bad
results may go down or Saturn is in its exaltation rasi or in its own
raasi then negative results can be diminished to some extent. In its
sade sati Saturn gemstone should not be worn.

Vedic Remedies for Saturn:-
One should donate black clothes to old people
Lit a lamp of oil in shani temple.
Donate urad dal (black lentil) to needy and poor people.
Reading shani chalisa on Saturday
Helping old and poor people
Never hurting anybody
To ask for forgiveness from Lord Shani for all sins done
intentionally or unintentionally.
Puja of Lord Shani with Blue flowers, Flowers should not be
white.
Recitation by following Mantra "Om Pram Praum Preem Sah
Shanishcraya Namah". Even silent chanting will also do.
One can also go to sighnasur holy place of Lord Saturn in
Maharashtra (India) and do Puja of Lord Shani and ask
blessings from Lord Shani.
Special puja to be done in shani temple on shani amavaysa or
in shani Jayanti.
