blended the two photos together. I then made the waves blue and the fre orange. After I added
masks to each photo to enhance the realism of the images. I started blending the photos into
the face around the forehead and around the facial structure. Then I began typing and aligning the
text to where I wanted it. Finally I made some of the text smaller and bigger to enhance my message.

different color boxes to add some repetition. I also chose white for the lettering to make the text stand
out from the busy background. With the color scheme I tried going for a rose pink color and a fat
design look.

Instructor:
Brother Corey Kerr

Objectives:
To set up and align two-sided, folded document. Learn how to wrap text around a placed image.
Use paragraph styles in Adobe InDesign.
Process:
I set up the gateway fold in Adobe InDesign. I split my layout into four sections with the concept of
the outer two sections folding over to become the faps of the brochure. I searched gate fold
dimensions on Google to know how wide to make my folds. I used circles and my logo design
through out my brochure to create repetition and fow. I chose retro model photos that showed how
the images related to the photo I chose of my grandmother on the front of my brochure.
For the image of my grandmother I edited the photo in Adobe Photoshop. I started by placing the
photo in Photoshop. When I fnally cropped it to the size I wanted it I began to add circles. I
wanted to add a modern twist to amp up this older photo. I then begin to turn the opacity down
and add text. I created my logo in Indesign as well by using the Pen Tool to connect points to make
my logo shape. I wanted to refect many aspects of my grandmothers life so I wanted to create
some kind of mountain shape. The mountains represent Utah where she is currently living now.

Process:
I used Illustrator to create a logo. I started to use the pen tool to create most of my shapes. It wasnt
an easy task, but I made it work. This tool allowed me to create my crown of leaves in the second
logo as well as my acorn outline in my last logo. I made sure to choose fonts that matched my theme
of royalty. I had to play around with some of the placement and size of the wording so that it was clear
what my company was as well as tie in the logo itself.
