Prachar members along with some monastics got together for an informal business
session. The third session, with Swami Mumukshananda in the chair, commenced

Mother%s simple and practical solutions to deep spiritual truths. Swami &mananda,
spoke in Bengali on 'oly Mother and Sister (ivedita. Dr )a* +akshmi ,arma drew
thought-provoking parallels between Sri Sarada Devi and Sita, in 'indi. Then there
was a chorus song led by Swami Satyasthananda, after which came Swami
Devara*ananda%s discourse in clear Bengali on Mother%s natural divinity. The
chairperson summed up the main thoughts in .nglish and the session closed with a
song by Swami /iri*eshananda. $fter the vespers a sitar-tabla duet by &stad Shahid
Parve0 and Pundit Shubankar Baner*ee held the appreciating audience in thrall. The
fourth session began on the second day 1# 2anuary3 at 4!5 am under the
chairmanship of Swami $saktananda. Students of Belur Math%s ,eda ,idyalaya
chanted Sama ,eda mantras. Swami Brahmeshananda spoke in .nglish on Mother%s
Shakti aspect. Swami Satyarupananda speaking in melli6uous 'indi, indicated how
Mother was an ideal for both monastics and the married. That 'oly Mother and Sri
)amakrishna are identical was brought home in literary Bengali by Swami
Sarvalokananda. Brahmacharins then sang a devotional song in chorus. Swami

/itananda*i Mahara*, ,ice President of the 7 rder, in the chair. $s usual the session
began with a devotional song. Swami 'arshananda, speaking in deliberate .nglish
showed Mother as a great practical ,edantist. Swami ,ishwanathananda spoke of
Mother as an ideal householder and ideal s annyas ini in Bengali and Swami
$tmaramananda presented her as a perfect symbol of unsel8shness. $ Sanskrit
hymn was sung in chorus by monks of $dvaita $shrama after which Swami
(ikhilatmananda spoke in wonderful 'indi about Mother as a uni9ue world teacher.
$fter Swami /itananda*i%s address the session closed with Swami (arendrananda%s
song. $n entertaining and educative 'indi drama was staged by students of
)amakrishna Mission, (arainpur, :hattisgarh, showing select incidents in Swami
,ivekananda%s life. $ Bastar Tribal dance performed by the same students won
everybody%s heart;;..<
