UNIQUE FEATURES

Even when the particles are shifted, the contact, conductivity and
cathodic corrosion protection are maintained, as the pigments lie
closely on each other in sheets. This is, among other things, also
especially apparent due to the improved weldability of the coated metal
surface.
The penetration of water and moisture is considerably reduced, as the
flakes have a strongly hydrophobic (water repelling) surface.
The surface of the coating is smoother and harder, resulting in
improved adhesion and greater strength of the coating.
The quality of the pigments in the newWEICON Zinc Spray meets the
demanding requirement profile of renowned industrial users. Long-
termcorrosion protection that even withstands a salt-spray test (DIN
53167 and DIN 50021) of more than 550 hours is the result.
The use of the newWEICON Zinc Spray also results in advantages for
the appearance. The previous dull grey colour has been replaced by a
bright metallic appearance (similar to that of slightly weatheredhot
galvanising).

Flammadur A77 is a Fire Suppression Coating especially
designed for protecting electric power cables, communication
cables, junction boxes - both against ignition as well as
propogation of fire.
High solids, intumescent firestop coating is specifically
designed to prevent fire ignition &spread of flame along
combustible cables, cable tubing &cable trays as well as to
protect electrical junction boxes &control panels......
fromfire.
Coated surfaces will neither ignite nor propagate fire. Electrical
sparks &short circuits can thus be prevented fromconverting
into fires and thereafter spreading along vertical &horizontal
cable ways. Fire can thus both be kept restricted to its source
as well as also prevented all together.
Meets German standard DIN 4102.
Uniquely tested &approved as a fire retardant cable coating for "Grouped electrical cables" by Factory Mutual (FM)
USA.
Tested &approved to IEEE standard 383- flame retardant coating for electric cables, field splices &connections for
nuclear power generating stations.
Tested &approved to IEC 332-3 international electro technical commission- protection of electric cables under fire

Flammadur A77 is typically applied as a continuous coating on power &communication cables but can also be applied
intermittently to serve as a Fire Breakwithin a cable run - both interior &exterior applications (either top coat or use
weather resistant - WRgrade), for both vertical &horizontal cable runs on both single &grouped electrical &
communication cabling, within cables trays as well as outside of cable trays.
Also effectively used in junction boxes, control panels..... any flammable substrate on which fire ignition/propogation
are to be prevented.

FiammadurA77 Cable Coating meets Factory Mutual Approval
requirement as per class 3971 for Flame Retardant Coating for Group
Electric Cables.
Passed flame test in an vertical exposure of 2 minutes. Flames did
not impinge or scorch the specimen above 5 inches (127 mm) from
the flame and without degradation above 3 inches (76mm).
No. coating breakdown occurred when exposed to high voltage of
1000 V for 1 minute before and after exposure to the fire.
A horizontal cable withA77 satisfied theApproval requirement that
leakage current shall not exceed 5.0 milliamperes when measured
between the conductor and the outer jacket during this high potential
test of 1,000 volts.
A cable coated withA77 was subjected to saltwater test. There was
no disintegration or deterioration of the coating.
The cable sample then passed the fire tests and the applied high
potential test.
The Cable coated withA77 passed ampacity test, i.e., there was no
electrical derating necessary when a cavle was sprayed withA77.

A horizontal cable coated withA77 satisfied the Factory Mutual

Approval requirement that burning shall not continue loger than one
minute after flame cutoff and electric shutdown and the burn
(exposed) area shall not exceed 9 inches (128 mm) in length.
