GLOBAL OUTREACH MISSIONARIES
Enjoying the Whirlwind
Like summer usually is, we are crazy busy here in Calacal! This past month weve
welcomed a new set of interns from the States. Izzy, David, and Kayla will be with us for 10
weeks. John and I have the privilege of teaching two of their classes: Spiritual Disciplines and When
Helping Hurts. It feels so good to be teaching again!!! Please pray for direction, wisdom, and
discernment for our interns as they learn, serve, and seek Gods will for their lives.
We have also started our marathon of visitors! Grace and Mary Kate, two awesome girls
that we met when they served with us in Babahoyo, came in June. Next, we had Johns mom with
us for 14 days! what a blessing to have her here to have fun and help with the girls. Lastly, we
will have my mom and dad with us for 10 days! We feel so blessed, encouraged, rejuvenated, and
loved on by all these visitors! Please pray for our girls relationship with grandparents to
strengthen and grow!
Amidst all of our visitors, weve had quite a few mission teams from the states as well.
They have helped with construction projects at El Refugio and done service projects in the jungle
and neighboring communities. The most recent team from Geneva, IL, put on a VBS for the
kids in Calacal and Rayocucho! It has been amazing to see how the outreach of these work
teams has really opened new doors for friendships for those of us that live here full time!
Please pray for God to use these new relationships in a mighty way!

Praise God!
In a little over one month, we have all the
nancial support we need to return home this
October! We are completely blown away by
your generosity and Gods goodness! Thank you
for your prayers and support! We are so excited
for our family to meet Juliette and see Sam (and
us too!) John is looking forward to his class and
furthering his education in wilderness rst aid!
Juliette is an ofcial dual citizen! We
received her American passport and certicate
of birth abroad! We are so thankful that
everything went smoothly with her paperwork!

Prayer Requests

We are in the process of applying for our
residency visas here in Ecuador. Please pray
for everything to go smoothly and quickly!
Please pray for our continued adjustment to
life as a family of four. We love our girls!
Moving from three to four in a family is quite
the adjustment though!
We are trying to gure out what to do for
school for Samantha. Please pray for wisdom
and guidance as we desire for her to have the
opportunity for social interaction and to learn
Spanish.
A little sister time is good for the soul!
