➢ Experiments related to PN junctions, solar cells, Minority life-time calculations, optical fibers: launching
light (NA and Waist calculations), micro and macro bending loss calculations, Microwaves and
cyclotron, Michelson interferometer, PID mechanism for temperature control, calculation of real and
imaginary magnetic susceptibility of YBCuO, Growing of oxide layers on Si, the I-V characteristics of a
Langmuir probe dipped in plasma and of devices like MOSFET, THYRISTORS etc.
• Physical System Design Lab
➢ Design physical systems for measuring physical quantities. Like thin film deposition using PVD,
studying the properties of thin film, X-ray diffraction of NaCl and LiF, finding thickness of thin film using
Fresnel coefficient, special frequency filtering, measuring Laser Beam profile
