Scaffolding Trainer (Ref: ST3155)


Salary: 22,000 - 30,000 per annum
Location: Trafford Park


Skills and Works Solutions is recruiting a Scaffolding Trainer to deliver effective learning in order to achieve high levels of
achievement in planned learning outcomes for young people and adults, whilst providing an exceptionally good learner
experience.

The duties of the job include:

To deliver excellent teaching and learning session theory and practical.
To plan and deliver structured learning sessions that achieve the individual learning aims of the learner and exceed the
normal quality delivery standards for the trade.
To develop an innovative curriculum which enables a mixed group of learners with varied learning aims to learn and
achieve qualifications.
To track learner progress daily and modify delivery as required to ensure a learner achieved.
Devise schemes of work for successful delivery of the individual learning outcomes.
Prepare practical and theoretical learning sessions by producing written lesson plans in the defined standard format.
Deliver creative and innovative theoretical and practical learning that motivates and engages the learners, particularly
making effective use of new technology packages.
Provide advice and guidance and pastoral support to learners or refer to the Learner Support Unit, as appropriate.
Plan for section costs and manage expenditure to an agreed business plan.
Help to maintain occupancy rates to achieve business plan targets for SkillCentre income.
Ensure that the section is a safe environment for learners by effective risk assessment and management of those risks.
Maintain effective learner attendance and progress records for individuals and groups.
Carry out testing and assessment in-line with awarding organisation guidelines.
Liaise with internal verifier(s) regarding the quality of assessments and learners work.
Evaluation of learning and development.
Maintain knowledge of trade qualifications and awarding body updates.


We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Experience within a similar role.
Hold relevant vocational qualifications including assessor qualifications
A teaching qualification to Certificate in Education level or equivalent.
Understanding of Apprenticeships and all the qualifications necessary for their achievement.
Experience in delivering outstandingly effective learning to achieve business objectives and learners requirements.
Good presentation and teaching delivery skills with groups and individuals.
Effective planning of learning activities and other interventions.
The ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
