OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our Mission:
Our mission is to promote women as a powerful force for positive change
in the world and to encourage women to embark on a journey of social
entrepreneurship.
Our Purpose:
Our purpose is to bring elegance back to life as well as encouraging and

Our Fundamentals guide our every action, enabling us to make a
difference in an ever changing world.
The Four Founding Principles:
1.) The promotion of women empowerment.
2.) The development of character among females.

specifically, social entrepreneurs adopt a mission to create and sustain
social value.
Our Culture
Its really our members that make The Cupcake Society the kind of
organization it is. We look for candidates who are passionate and
ambitious, and we favor ability over experience. Although we all share
common goals and visions for the company, we hail from all walks of life.
Pursuing interest ranging from fashion to volunteering, from gardening to
a day of literature at a nearby coffee shop.
In our feminine atmosphere, we strive to maintain an open culture, in

The Cupcake Society is a tri-state based organization.
Founded and developed in October 2010 by two
visionaries fueled by a common purpose.
Our pink heart represents feminine energy, good health, good
feeling. It also represents falling in love with self. Pink is the
combination of red and white. Red gives warmth and energy whereas,
white brings purity and clarity to the color pink.

At all times, members should devote their full attention to the

organization business and their duties.

A member must avoid any activity that conflicts with the interests of the
company.

A member must disclose a potential conflict in advance.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES
No MLM Policy
The Cupcake Society is a niched community for people running
independent businesses. Participation in The Cupcake Society is focused
on building relationships with other business owners and strengthening
your personal and professional reputation.
That being said, CCS will not extend membership to anyone promoting,
advertising, selling, or mentioning an MLM, (also known as multi-level or
network marketing company). For our purposes, an MLM is defined
broadly as any business that recruits distributors, resellers, consultants, or
others for the sale or representation of a product or service that does not
originate from the person requesting membership with CCS. This includes
matrix marketing and direct sales companies.
Here's why...
The nature of an MLM business is to compensate its distributors based on
product sales they personally generate as well as the sales of other
distributors whom they have introduced to the company ("downline"). A
distributor's success depends upon developing an ever-expanding network
of people who join the business. MLM sales, in addition to "Get Rich
Quick" opportunities, tend to draw focus from independent business
networking toward selling secondary business opportunities. We are not
comfortable having our members solicited or propositioned to join or add
another business.
We do not judge the merit or question the legitimacy of such companies.
Though it is possible for a representative from an MLM (as we define it) to
simply sell the product or service without recruiting distributors or
resellers. Any mention on our bulletin Board or at a Cupcake event, of
such a company, its products, or of a business dependent on its products,
is strictly prohibited.
In determining whether a member's profile or activity violates our No
MLM policy, The Cupcake Society will consider the following factors:
Offering commissions to recruit new distributors.
Business is structured around hosting parties where guests purchase
product. Event must be approved by officers/ Founders.
Requiring new distributors to purchase costly inventory or "start-up
kits."
Profits from sales are derived from recruited sellers ("downline"),
rather than solely their own sales.
Commissions derived from sales moves "up-line."
Monetary distributions originate from funds paid by new or
existing participants.
Businesses monitored by the Better Business Bureau, state Attorney
General, Federal Trade Commission, or any state or federal
agency.
Unrealistic or unsupported promises regarding profits or return on
investment.
Solicitation & Distribution
The solicitation of goods or services by one member to another during
regularly scheduled meetings is prohibited. Selling commercial goods and
distributing promotional information and handbills during any
organization activities are also prohibited. Exceptions to this policy are
made for sponsored activities and, at the discretion of the Founders or
Officers, for charitable sales.
Attendance & Punctuality
This organization depends upon the regular attendance of our members
and hence does not allot a fixed number of meetings/events to miss. The
membership committee will be as helpful as possible when a member
cannot attend a meeting/event. Excessive tardiness and unexcused
absences may lead to disciplinary action up to and including reactivation.
*Officers and committee members must have another committee member cover
them in their absence.

Volunteering with Children -
We encourage our members to bring their own children along. Helping
others is the best way for children to build strong morals. Many of our
volunteer jobs are perfect for families with little ones. However, before
deciding whether youre interested, keep in mind weather conditions and
your child's physical ability. Some walks and races are very crowded,
which can be overwhelming to children. Mom please remember to bring
extra water, snacks or a stroller/wagon for your little ones.

We were born to make and manifest the glory of god that is within
us. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own
light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the
same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence
automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson
