Huntingdonshire Beekeepers Association (HBKA)
has been helping local beekeepers since 1884 and
now has over 100 members in the local and
surrounding areas, most of whom keep their own
bees.
We are proud to have our own award-winning
association apiary at Hinchingbrooke Country
Park, conveniently located on the edge of
Huntingdon. The apiary is open to the public,
where they can see the bees at close quarters
safely from behind glass in the viewing gallery
each day. Our members also do free
demonstration inspections of the hives at the
apiary each Sunday afternoon at 2pm for one
hour between April and September (if its not too
cold or wet). An experienced beekeeper will be
present in the viewing gallery to describe what is
happening and answer any questions.
If, like us, you wish to go further and become a
beekeeper yourself, HBKA can provide training,
advice on equipment selection, and continued
support as you gain experience and increase your
ability.
