MEDITATE AND MEET CHRIST INSIDE

Said Jesus Christ in John 4:24, God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and
in truth. And what is worshipping in spirit? It is to go within in meditation. As said in Psalm 46:10, "Be still,
and know that I am God".
A Centre for the World Religions
When holding peace forums at the United Nations, this is the kind of meditation which A Centre for the World
Religions (ACWR) has introduced to the UN community of delegates and NGOs, who come from every
conceivable religion. We tell delegates that meditating to know God does not require you to convert to
another religion or convert anyone to yours. You can remain in your religion and still practice the
meditation technique we share with you, in order to know God.
This reminds me of a question someone once asked the Mystic Soami Divyanand, founder of ACWR: if God
is inside and the soul is inside, why do we need to search for God? The saint answered, God is inside and so
is the soul, the problem is they havent met each other. This is the purpose of meditation to make this
introduction in a very practical sense.
What Makes one a True Christian?
Believe it or not, this Mystic meditation master, who we lovingly call Soamiji, is more Christian than the
average Protestant or Catholic or follower of the over 5,000 denominations of Christianity. Why? Because He
teaches and practices the teachings of Christ.
He teaches that a true Christian is not content with just talking about God, going to Church on Sunday or
praying and doing good works. This is not the essence of religion.
Neither is fasting or making pilgrimages to the holy land the essence of religion or Christianity; nor is piously
genuflecting, Pontificating or engaging in all manner of rites, rituals and ceremonies.
No the essence of religion is to unite the soul back to God, while still living in this physical body. You do
this by meditating and meeting Christ inside. This is what the mission of the superhuman man called Jesus
revolved around. To understand this requires us to take a fresh look at exactly is meant by the words religion
and Christ.
That Old Time Religion
The word religion comes from joining the prefix re, which means back, with the suffix ligion which
means to bind as in ligament. So religion is the process of binding the soul back to God. In the East this is
called yoga which means union with God. This is a process which is inherent in every human being.
In this context, religion its essence is not an organized set of dogmas, doctrines, rites, rituals and ceremonies, as
found in conventional or organized faiths, that focus more on outer forms of worship, which vary according to
culture, geography, nationality, time and clime. However, this is not to say that you should forsake the
2 | P a g e

organized religion you are practicing; Christianity, as with most such religions, does provide a shared society
and strong sense of fellowship, and teaches the moral principles that should guide every human being.
You should feel free to practice whatever outer religious form of worship you wish; but if you want to know
God, your priority, as Jesus Christ said should be to worship God in spirit and in truth ---i.e., practice
the inner form of religion through meditation. Meet Christ inside and unite the soul back to God.
Who was Christ?
This leads us to the question, just who was or is Christ? The Bible says in John 1, In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Immediately we see that the Word is so much more than scriptures written between the pages of a book. The
Word or Holy Spirit is the true identity of Jesus. As John 1:14 says, the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us.
Or, as John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish.
So, it was not Jesus the physical man who was the only begotten son; it was the Christ within Him the
Holy Spirit that was the son of God.
Mystics give a very beautiful metaphor to illustrate this. They say that God is the ocean who sends the river
the Holy Spirit to carry the drop Mans spirit back to God. It is meditation that puts you in touch with
your spirit, which is made in the image of God, and which is carried by Christ the Holy Spirit back to God.
There are many beautiful ceremonies that are only symbols of this divine journey one which you can actually
experience through meditation. An example is the Holy Communion - a ritual growing out of the following
words of Jesus Christ:
In John 6:35, 54 and 55 Jesus said, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he
who believes in Me shall never thirstHe who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I
will raise him up on the last dayFor My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.
Clearly Jesus was not a cannibal. His blood is depicted in Communion as wine; His flesh is depicted as
bread. However, this ritual only symbolizes the real food that Jesus was trying to get his disciples to
imbibe. Mystics teach that the flesh and blood of Jesus actually represents the Word or Holy Spirit
manifesting as Divine Revelations which serve as nourishment for the soul, received by the human being
in advanced stages of meditation.
Jesus was an Enlightened Being who epitomized and embodied this Holy Spirit. In other words, Jesus was the
Word (or Christ) Made Flesh that dwelt among men.
It is not in an outer ritual like Communion but through meditation that you imbibe or eat and drink
the flesh and blood (of Jesus) - the Holy-Spirit-Christ as was epitomized and embodied within Jesus.
Meditation and Divine Revelations
3 | P a g e

The Mystic Soami Divyanand classifies five Divine Revelations: Light, Sound, Soma (bliss), the God-man, and
the Lord God Almighty. Jesus and all great redeemers in all the great religions acting as the Word Made
Flesh - have taught their disciples how to go within in meditation and make contact with the Holy Spirit, in
order to provide nourishment to the soul and ride it back to God. According to Mystics, in the case of St. John,
the food he imbibed as locust and honey actually represented Divine Revelations of Sound (buzzing) and
Soma (Sweet nectar of bliss).
In meditation these Divine Revelations of Holy-Christ-Spirit, to which Jesus referred as the bread and water of
life, serve a very practical purpose: They purify (forgive) the seekers soul of the karmic impressions or sins of
ego, anger, lust, greed and attachment that prevent the spirit from reuniting with God. Specifically:
The light cleanses impressions taken in through the eyes;
The sound cleanses impressions taken in by the ears;
The soma cleanses impressions coming in through the mind.
The goal of receiving Divine Revelations in meditation is freedom from old and new karmas, enabling one to
rise above body consciousness and unite back to God. Mystics call this process Dying while living or Die
before death catches up to you. They say that this is what St. Paul meant when he said in 1 Corinthians 15:31,
I die daily.
Meditate to be Born Again
Now we know what Jesus was talking about when He spoke of forgiveness of sin and being born again. In John
3:3-8 Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom.
Being Born Again, or Dying While Living, means gradually making use of this human body the crown of
creation to reunite back to God. The way to do this is via meditation. You need go no further than your
own human body to be born again to enter the gates of heaven, now, while living in this lifetime. As
Jesus said in John 14:2 In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you: I go
to prepare a place for you.
Nowhere does He say you have to wait until the passing of the physical body. On the contrary, He reminds you
in 1Corinthian 3:16 to, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in
you?
So, for Jesus the real house of worship was not a building made of wood or stone. Worshipping in spirit refers
to going within in meditation. In Luke 17:21 it says, Neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the
kingdom of God is within you.
YOUR HUMAN BODY IS YOUR REAL CHURCH, MOSQUE, SYNAGOGUE OR TEMPLE. The doors
of your personal church are open 24 hours per day even when you sleep. Saint Soami Divyanand even speaks
of meditative sleep or Turya which is another way to gain the benefits of meditation.
Therefore, Heaven is here now (now-here). Mystics stress that meditation gets you there, whereas outer
rituals, rites, ceremonies and pilgrimages actually may impede your spiritual progress.

To tread the Divine Path requires Divine Wisdom or Revelations which, says Mystic Soami Divyanand, are
different from intelligence as we know it. In every so-called mind-intelligence-dominated path, focusing on
dogma and polemics, you have different sets of rites, rituals or ceremonies, based on whatever culture gave
birth to these practices. On the other hand, the Divine Path transcends culture and outer rituals by taking you
inside, where you pray without words or you meditate.
The Secret to Meditating
The question thus becomes, what is the secret to meditation to entering into the kingdom of heaven while still
in this physical body? In Matthew 7 it says, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and
it shall be opened unto you.
The asking is initiation - to request the keys to the kingdom. The seeking is the quest for reuniting with God.
The knocking is following the instructions given. And the door that opens is the mystical Third Eye located
between and behind the eyebrows. In Matthew 6:22 it says, "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine
eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
To open this door requires one to close down the other nine doors of the human body through which the soul
energy escapes - the two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, the mouth, and the two orifices below. Thereby you draw
upon the eternal water of life spoken of in the Bible in Revelations 22:17. It is the spiritual nectar that
quenches all thirst, in the form of Divine Revelations of light, sound, and soma (spiritual bliss) received in
advanced stages of meditation.
Who Really was/is the Only Begotten Son?
What I am sharing with you is the mystical approach to religion. The mystics call it the straight way to God.
In John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by
me.
But remember, the me Jesus refers to is not the physical man, but the Holy Spirit the only begotten son,
embodied in Jesus Christ - in His time, and in countless other living saints, sages and God-men and God-
women throughout the ages. As we mortal beings are living in the physical form, we require guidance from one
who is also incarnate someone who puts His pants on one leg at a time and answers the calls of living on this
plane, as we do. How else could we believe that we, ordinary sinners, could actually realize our divinity?
As Jesus told His disciples in John 14:12, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me [that is
the Holy Spirit-Christ], the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do
Earlier in John 9:5 Jesus said, As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. However, in John
14:16 He promised, I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with
you forever.
Just as sure as we need a mother to feed us, change our diapers and ultimately wean us as we mature, we,
as spiritual babies need spiritual guidance as we embark upon the process of being born again. What
prevents us from doing this is the mind operating through the senses of perception.
As a popular song says, You got to Serve Somebody! In truth, the master that the average man or woman
serves is the mind, which itself makes a good servant, but a poor master. It is meditation that helps you to rise
above mind and experience the spiritual part of your being.

The scriptures say in Matthew 6:23-25, Ye cannot serve God and mammon. No man can serve two
masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the
other.
Mammon, in this context, represents the ego/mind acting under the influence of the Negative Power or Satan.
The alternative is to apprentice with the Holy Spirit or Son of God, which is latent in you but fully awakened
and embodied in living God-men or God-women - the enlightened saints and mystics who are sent by the Lord
to shepherd souls back to God.
Washing Away Karma or Sin
As long as the ego/mind is in charge, we amass karma that keeps the soul prisoner in the body and prevents it
from knowing God. By our thoughts, words and deeds we create our own karmic circumstances. As Galatians
6:7 says, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Although we do have a measure of free will, we also have a measure of pre-ordained life events, according to
the karmic seeds we have sown. No amount of positive thinking, mind science and secret laws of attraction can
enable us to think away that which is ordained to happen as a result of our karma. This is what the Bible
quotation in Matthew 5. Means when it says, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. It is not urging you
to seek retribution; it is informing you that you are subject to an iron clad law which in modern vernacular says,
What goes around comes around.
Many people make the mistake of seeing preordination as some arbitrary, unfair punishment meted out by a
cruel God. If you think about it deeply, it doesnt matter whether the conditions we face are present at birth or
visit us today. The enlightened saints teach that if there is any chance to mitigate or alleviate the impact of this
karma, which can sometimes seem insurmountable, it requires the mercy of the Lord, as bestowed through one
of Gods divine messengers. Mystics teach you meditation in a way that enables you to receive Divine
Revelations that purify the soul of these karmic impressions.
Meditation the Straight and Narrow Path
So, in summary, meditation enables the soul to achieve the main purpose for which we have incarnated in this
world to realize self and God, and become a co-worker with the Divine. Mystics speak of 8.4 million species
which we have transcended to receive the gift of a human birth.

They teach that the path of meditation is the easy straight and narrow path to God El Camino Real The
Kings Highway or the Divine Path. In Matthew 7:13-14 it says, Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is
the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and
narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.

While all mystics stress that we should attend to our worldly responsibilities, earn our own living and fulfill the
karmic lessons which we have earned, we need more than just the Daily bread of this material world to fulfill
lifes higher purpose. Matthew 6:19-20 says, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. This is the
purpose of meditation to build up your spiritual bank account in order to ultimately re-unite with God.

It is the Holy Spirit or Word manifesting through the mystic meditation masters which guides you in this form
of meditation. Their role is to awaken the Christ power in you. The immediate objective is Self Realization
rising above body consciousness to experience yourself as pure soul. At this point one receives guidance from
6 | P a g e

the spiritual form of the mystic inside. (Some meditators reared as Christians have reported seeing Jesus inside
in their meditations). The long term goal is continuing on to union with God to become a co-worker with
divine, while still alive and functioning in the physical body.

While the ultimate treasure of meditation in washing the soul of the karma resulting in salvation for the
soul, there are important short term, immediate benefits. The Divine Revelations received during
meditation result in the following:

Provides ongoing inspiration and control that better enables man to actually manifest the divine virtues
preached by all religions, and meet the day-to-day ups and downs and responsibilities of living, and

Serves as a medicament that precipitates psychical and physical healing i.e.,
o Improved perception, memory, concentration and comprehension Increased creativity and
productivity
o Increased relaxation and stress reduction, and
o Decreased cholesterol or likelihood of heart attack or stroke

See for Yourself

In order to prove whether you, too, can experience these results in mediation you have to perform the great
experiment yourself. Religion is not a spectator sport. To know truth you must live it. The revealed
scriptures (written words) are only road maps that give you an idea of what to expect as you embark
upon your own journey; you cannot become realized merely by reading about some other beings
enlightenment. Because the true Word is not the dead letter script on the page; it is the Holy Spirit which
manifests as Divine Revelations. You have to meditate to get this Word.

Having said that, when it comes to writings in print, only an enlightened saint can most properly interpret the
words or revealed scriptures of another enlightened being. Invariably one has to also refer back to the original
languages from which words have often been mistranslated, misinterpreted, or misinterpolated (falsified).

The original languages of the Bible are Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. These ancient languages are similar in
profundity to Sanskrit. Therefore, often mystics teaching meditation will reference words stemming from these
root languages. A Word to the wise is sufficient. --- Namaste (I salute God within you)
