EXT. SNOWING OVER THE 7 LINE. NIGHT 4 AM
light snow falls over two train tracks heading off into the
distance where we see the small but obvious lights of the
Manhattan skyline. From those lights one appears to be
moving, getting bigger and bigger. Its the 7 train. Like a
bat our of hell racing towards us. Running express, stopping
for no one.
INT. 7 TRAIN
The train is practically empty. Except for MARIA 17, bundled
up with a small backpack on her lap she cradles like a new
born. In her eyes there is sadness, exhaustion. And soon
fear.
Two men come into the wagon. Obviously drunk and laughing
slapping each others back, oblivious to the quiet girl in
the corner. Cesar notices her first.
CESAR
sshh... mira.
Guillermo looks. A sinister smile creeps onto his ugly
drunken face. Blood shot eyes narrow. The men whisper now
among themselves. Giggling.
GUILLERMO
Ppsstt..Hey... Oye...
She smartly ignores them. But they just whistle louder.
CESAR
Yoo hoo... mamacita. Pa donde
vamos. Jajaja.
In the middle of their laughter Maria quietly gets up and
switches wagons as the train moves. Please leave me alone
she thinks. She sits towards the middle. Shes cold and
tired. But the laughs follow.
She turns her head to see them now inbetween wagons laughing
and blowing kisses. Better keep moving. She quickly gets up
and walks towards the end of the wagon. The men pursue.
GUILLERMO
Hey! I want to talk to ju baby.
jajaja.
They race towards the back of the end the 7 train. She
realizes she only has 2 wagons left before its the last.
Their drunken walks, now seem more hostile.

Last Wagon. Shit. She looks out the window and sees the
diminishing skyline of NYC as the train drives further into
Queens. She turns around to see them now entering the last
wagon. They laugh.
CESAR
No where to go... jajaja.
Confident that they now have their mouse, they walk slowly
towards her. Removing their gloves and getting ready to
attack. However the rhythmic beat of the tracks begins to
slow down. "Next stop, Junction BLVD". The three of them
freeze trying to figure out their next chess move. Doors
open. She fakes a move towards the door, But they straddle
the train and the platform waiting for her to decide. Bing
bong, "Stand clear of the closing doors please".
Before they close she runs out the door down the stairs
quickly almost falling from the wet floor. They persue her
earnestly.
Down the steps, onto Roosevelt Ave. Everywhere is is closed
except for a few bars that her perpetrators probably
frequent. She would be faster than them. But the snow makes
her run slower. They are right behind her.
An alley. She makes a hard left, down the dark alley. But
its a dead end. Her dead end.
Two silloettes, now approach her cautiously.
GUILLERMO
Por que corres mija. Solo te
queremos dar un besito.
They get closer and closer and closer. Suddenly a
white snowball hits Cesars face. But this snow ball appears
to be very sticky. He cant wipe his face and is blinded.
CESAR
Ques esto?!
From the sky a flying foot decends and crashes into
Guillermos chest. Knocking him on his ass. A Slender man in
red tights stands confidently as her savior. Guillermo
manages to clear his vision.
GUILLERMO
No, no puede ser! Spide...
Wack! kick to face knocking out a few teeth from the few he
had left. Guillermo Joins cesar on the cold wet floor.

SPIDERMAN
Are you ok?
Maria nods. Frightened and relieved.
Spiderman quickly cuffs them together with his web. As they
curse obsenities. Theyre bound, and wont be hurting anyone
else tonight. He grabs Maria.
SPIDERMAN
Stay close to me. Put your arms
around my neck.
Maria obliges and quickly they swing off into the night,
high above Queens. Maria looks down at the white city as
they fly thru the air. She looks up at her savior in awe as
he swifly swings her into saftey.
