Kinds of Sentence

Sentence- is a word or group of word that exprisses a complete


thought.
1. Declarative sentences - in the English language are the sentences
that form a statement. It ends with a period (.).
Example:
Tomorrow I will go to the store.
Yesterday I left school early.
I told her to wear the blue skirt.
She did not want to eat the pizza that I gave her.
We walked to the mall together.
2. Interrogative sentences - in the English language are the sentences
that form a question. It ends with
Example:
What do you think I should wear the pink shoes or the white sneakers?
What did the teacher say to you yesterday?
Did you go to the movies yesterday?
Have you met them?
How many fruits did you get?
3. Imperative sentences - in the English language are the sentences that
make a command or request.
Example:
Get me some water.
Leave that cat alone.
Go to the store for me.
Bring me some ice.
Come to our house on Saturday.
Get my bag.
4. Exclamatory sentences - in the English language are the sentences that
attempt to powerful feelings, or emotions.
Example:
I cannot wait to graduate!
I love you so much!
We beat that other team good!
I can't believe how tall giraffes really are!
I can't believe this, I am so upset!
Kinds of Noun
Noun- is a name of person, place, animas, things or event.
1. COMMON NOUN names a general person, place, thing, or idea. It
does not refer to something specific. Cat house shoe. these is not
Capitalize.
Example:
People: mother, father, baby, child, toddler, teenager, grandmother, student,
teacher, minister, businessperson, salesclerk, woman, man
Animals: lion, tiger, bear, dog, cat, alligator, cricket, bird, wolf
Things: table, truck, book, pencil, ipad, computer, coat, boots,
Places: city, state, country, continent, coffee shop, restaurant, park, zoo
Ideas: envy, love, hate, respect, patriotism, pride

2. PROPER NOUN names a specific person, place, thing, or idea. It
refers to a NAME of a noun. It always begin with capital letters.

Mt. Apo
Mayon Volcano

Luneta

3. CONCRETE NOUNS are nouns that you can see, hear, touch, smell, or
taste.
Example:
fried Chicken
ball
book
trees
bag

4. ABSTRACT NOUNS are nouns that you cannot see, hear, touch,
smell, or taste. They are ideas, qualities, and feelings that cannot be seen
or touched.
Example:
hatred
wisdom
peace
patient
love
courteous
