2.1. Revision of program version

2.2. Addition of functions / Change of specifications

1) DIPSW10-3 has been newly added under Software SW Setting in 25 mode.
Yellow background in the following table is the function newly added.

TC stands for Total Counter. PM stands for PM Counter
With the function, you can set the way to count of TC and PM differently.
NOTE: In case that the count settings are different between TC and PM, depending on paper size that customer
use, TC and PM become different. Then some customers as well as some field technicians, who see only TC,
may be confused that consumables reach its life prematurely. Please be aware of this kind of confusion could
happen, which needs to be avoided, when you change the DIPSW settings of above.

* The default setting of the size and the count for PM stays the same (2 counts and B4/8.5x14).

The above table shows the new default DIPSW setting of Total Counter for C500 with v14, which will be
manufactured in the production line. If you have C500 currently in the field and you would like to set the DIPSW
as the table, you have to install the Image Control Program v14 first and then go to 25 mode to change DIPSW
settings.
The above default settings and the Image Control Program v14 will be implemented to machines, which start to
be manufactured in February 2006.

you use the latest program versions described in 6. Latest program combinations.


5. How to install
5.1. How to update the program
ISWTrns version that supports related unit of bizhub PRO C500 is Ver.3.51 or later.
ISWTrns can be downloaded from CSES. Download file names are as follows.

iswtrnsv***e.exe (English version) ***: version (for example, 351)

When rewriting the engine program by ISW, select Machine C500 for both bizhub PRO C500.
Please refer to the Service Manual for the detailed procedure.

5.2. How to check version
You can check the ROM version in 25 mode, 9. ROM version.
Please refer to the Service Manual for the detailed procedure.
