SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:

Designed and created the policy, procedures and control forms for a new perpetual inventory system as the clients company
had no inventory system. Reviewed situation and saw that some inventory is billable to customers, yet the items delivered to
customers were not being recorded and inventory shrinkage was unknown; identified the MAS 90 system as the most effective
method, implemented the system, trained personnel on how to conduct a physical count, instituted a monthly inventory plan and
maintained the system until the general manager took over the function.
I MPACT: Net margin increased to 10% since the customers were billed correctly.

Formed an invoice reporting format that automatically generated an invoice to the client that was customized to the contract, the
issue was the prior accounting system didnt generate billing, so invoices were created individually each month which was time
consuming; brought in the Solomon accounting system, customized the entry screen so the user could enter information directly
from the contract, created the invoice report format using a series of conditional formulas, tested the invoice for contingencies
and trained personnel on its use.
I MPACT: Billing time was reduced from three days to three hours and efficiency gains were 90%+.
Created policies, procedures and control forms for managing cash and bank deposits; the issue was that cash payments made to
the dealership were not being recorded, customers were now getting credit for the payments made and the company stopped
repossessing vehicles since they were unable to determine if the client was delinquent. Created a spread sheet through Excel that
operated as a bank reconciliation statement, it listed cash in the bank, the last cash handler and forced this handler to get receipts
or be charged for losses; also administered new policies and procedures with cash handling which included electronically
reconciling with the drawer.
I MPACT: Paying customers received credit for payments, nonpaying customers were subject for repossession and write-
offs were greatly reduced.
Developed a new leasing application to accurately reflect proper lease payments; the issue was the old software was unable to
calculate leased vehicle payments which was costing the company $300 - $500 per vehicle and time in processing. Conducted a
study on lease calculations, designed and developed the new leasing application to use with MS Access and Visual Basic,
created a plain paper lease contract in the application, tested the application, trained personnel on its use and made the change.
I MPACT: Efficiency increased approximately 10% and the contract values increased $300 - $500 each.
