The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
Authority has prepared a draft
Management Plan for the National Park
area, and associated impact
assessments, for the period 2015-19. You
are invited to comment on these
documents.
The documents are available to view
on the Authoritys website at
www.pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk
at the Authoritys offices at Llanion
Park, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire,
SA72 6DY. Opening hours are Monday
to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to
4.30pm
on disc at National Park Authority
centres in St Davids, Newport and
Tenby during normal opening hours
Discs have also been supplied to the

delivering multi product fuels from Milford Haven to Terminals in the Midlands and Manchester.
We currently have a vacancy for a Mainline Pipeline Maintenance Engineer based at Pembroke Reinery.
Role summary
To manage and oversee all Pipeline Maintenance across the network ensuring safe operation is
maintained at all times. Provide a cost effective maintenance service ensuring equipment and resource
availability to meet the Pipeline schedule at all times. Ideally the successful candidate has an Instrument/
Electrical background with a good understanding of Mechanical principles to include Rotating Equipment.
An understanding of metering and PLCs is also desirable. The successful candidate should also have some
previous experience in projects to assist Project Engineers with technical support prior to AFE submission.
The role will involve some travel across the network covering all Pump Stations, Receipt Stations, Cross
Country Valves and Transformer Rectiier panels. The role also provides support in other areas of Pipeline
Operation to include, but not limited to, SCADA network, PLC control and Communications systems.
Main Duties
- Ensure Incident free Operation across the Pipeline network using LPS tools.
- Communicate and work closely with the Operations/Integrity teams to ensure the Pipeline pumping
schedule is met at all times.
- Lead incident investigations and Risk Assessments.
- Identify gaps in policies, process and procedures, and update as required.
- Review Pipeline PM schedules and rationalise to minimise Pipeline planned maintenance downtime.
Ensure zero overdue PMs and relief valves.
- Work closely with Operations to oversee all aspects of metering including HMRC custody transfer meters.
- Review training as required suiting the business needs.
- Identify and manage Pipeline projects working closely with Logistics Project Engineers.
- Manage the electrical policy documents, processes and procedures to ensure the safety of electrical
equipment and personnel.
- Manage support service contracts and identify eficiencies.
- Mentoring of Contractor workforce
- Form part of the Pipeline Emergency Response Team.
- Cover for Instrument and Electrical on-call when required.
Competencies / Skills
- Previous petroleum industry experience essential.
- Be qualiied to degree standard or similar qualiication.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently or part of a small team.
- Excellent planning, technical, communication and interpersonal skills.
