'he nature of the work would depend on the projects you are involved in but could involve)
*upporting the waste laboratory testing business in undertaking inorganic and organic waste
characterisation including biodegradability testing
+arrying out experimental and testing work and visiting sites to carry out sampling and
monitoring
*upporting process optimisation for aerobic and anaerobic waste treatment
%rocessing data and information to produce statistical analyses to develop and calibrate
models
&nterpreting the results from analysis or modelling and the implications they have for our
clients
+ompiling data and information, either directly from our clients or through literature and other
searches

+ompiling data and information to support the provision of an independent advisory service
on the health significance of microorganisms in drinking water.
+onducting in,depth reviews of topics of concern impacting on water supply operations.
%roviding advice on good practice for water supply hygiene to ensure regulatory compliance.
Assessing the effectiveness of disinfection strategies and treatment barriers.
+onducting microbiological risks assessments and audits to identify vulnerability and perform
exposure assessments.
&dentifying the most significant sources of contamination using the source-pathway-receptor
risk assessment approach.
$eveloping models to predict the impact of microbial loading from various sources such as
sewage effluents, land drainage and other diffuse sources.
