RTV11, RTV21 and RTV41 are three of GE Silicones general purpose two-part
silicones that are excellent choices for the aviation environment. They offer superior
adhesion with primers and room temperature cure.
RTV60 and RTV88, part of GE Silicones high temperature two-part silicone
materials, differ primarily in viscosity in the uncured state. RTV60 is excellent for
potting and encapsulating applications, while RTV88 is ideal for vertical or overhead
surfaces.
RTV560/566 and RTV577 provide outstanding adhesion with a primer at low
temperatures. All cure at room temperature and provide variable cure rates by
adjusting the curing agent. RTV560/566 offers the widest useful temperature range
of all GEsilicones. RTV566 is an excellent choice for aviation applications requiring
low outgassing. RTV577 is a highly viscous and outstanding choice for sealing and
insulating on vertical and overhead surfaces.
The RTV6100 series, or silicone dielectric gels, are liquid silicones that cure to form
soft, gel-like elastomers. They help preserve dielectric integrity and provide
outstanding protection to delicate electronic assemblies in harsh environments. They
offer a variety of cure rates and primerless adhesion to most substrates. RTV6156
provides low temperature performance.
The RTV8000 series is a general purpose two-part silicone rubber compound. It
consists of pourable, non-corrosive grades with excellent adhesion and high
temperature performance. It conforms to the physical and electrical requirements of
MIL-PRF-23586F. (Supercedes MIL-S-23586E.)

lacquer formula can be applied to all interior and
exterior aluminum and steel surfaces, including
wheels, landing gear and inside door hatches.
When additional corrosion protection is required,
we recommend Tempo Aircraft Enamel.
ZINC CHROMATE AND ZINC
OXIDE PRIMERS
Maximum, adhesion and bare aluminumand
steel
Tempos Zinc Chromate and Zinc Oxide Primers
are recommended from priming bare metal.
These primers provide maximum bonding to bare
aluminum and steel. Tempos Zinc Chromate has
been the workhorse in the aviation industry for
many years, while Zinc Oxide has been recently
introduced to provide a safer, healthier
alternative to Zinc Chromate with equal
performance.
Unique Fanspray Valve.
AIRCRAFT ENAMEL
Excellent adhesion to aluminumand steel
Tempos Aircraft enamel has been specially
formulated to adhere to aluminum and
steel;providing excellent corrosion resistance.
Recommended applications are all interior and
exterior aluminum and steel surfaces, including
wheel, landing gear and inside door hatches. For
propeller blades, we recommend our Epoxy
Propeller Coating.
PROTECTS ALUMINUM AND STEEL
SURFACES AGAINST CORROSION
Extends blade life
EPOXY PROPELLER COATING
Tempos Epoxy Propeller Coating is formulated
with the extra adhesion and abrasion resistance
needed to protect propellers from corrosion and
wear. Compared to standard enamel and lacquer
paints, our epoxy formula stays on the blade more
flying hours; hence, with regular use, this formula
can extend blade life.

WARNING: Penetrants attack and even dissolve many kinds of plastic pipes. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pip is especially vulnerable and can crumble after only a fewdays of
exposure. Even diluted penetrant rinsings attack it rapidly. ABSplastic pipe is nearly as sensitive. When installing plumbing to handle penetrant rinsings, use metal pipe.

Aerospace Wiping Cloth
RIMPLE CLOTH is manufactured from 100%cotton purified cotton fibers and contains no silicone.
It is a 3 ply cloth which is widely used in the aerospace industry. Its cotton fibers are of high quality
and low-linting and non-abrasive. Rimple Cloth is one of the most durable products available for
cleaning and polishing and is strong enough to withstand industrial wiping and polishing with a
variety of cleaning solvents. The unique crimped finish gives Rimple Cloth more surface area for
collecting and trapping dirt particles. In addition, the cloths super soft texture and stretchable
construction give it excellent surface conformity and memory. Its firmly twisted yarns and open
weave also help eliminate foreign particles on the surface of the cloth by absorbing these particles
into the open cell construction. It is one of the most durable products available for cleaning and
polishing. AFFs controlled and unique purification process produces a very absorbent wiper that is
compatible with cleaning solvents.
