This document summarizes research on the tensile properties of carbon/glass angle ply composites. Specimens with different fiber orientations (0°/90°, 45°/45°, 60°/30°) were fabricated using carbon and glass fibers layered in an epoxy resin matrix. Tensile testing was performed according to ASTM standards to determine properties like tensile strength, tensile modulus, and peak load. Initial results showed the 0°/90° orientation had significantly higher tensile properties compared to other orientations. Scanning electron microscope images also provided qualitative analysis of interfacial properties of the woven carbon/glass hybrid composites. The research indicated carbon/glass hybrid composites offered benefits of synthetic fibers.
