HEMPELS ROADMASTER 568SA
Description: HEMPELS ROADMASTER 568SA is a quick drying paint, based on chlorinated rubber
and alkyd. It dries to a tough coating with good colour stability. It is resistant to wear,
impact, abrasion and spillage of petrol (gasoline), mineral oils, etc. Low dirt pick-up properties.
Recommended use: As a self priming marking paint for roads, runways, factory floors, parking areas, etc.
Can be applied directly on existing coating systems, concrete, bituminous/asphalt or
similar types of substrates.
Compliance: Meets the requirements of Federal Standards TT-P-85E and TT-P-115E Type III.
Availability: Not included in Group Assortment. Local availability subject to confirmation.

*Drying times are indicative and depend on the substrate temperature and climatic
conditions during and after paint application.
The physical constants stated are nominal data according to the HEMPEL Group's approved formulas. They are
subject to normal manufacturing tolerances and where stated, being standard deviation according to ISO 3534-1.

SURFACE The surface must be dry and free from dust, sand, oil, grease and other contaminants.
PREPARATION: Asphalt should be fully hardened and compressed.
Concrete should be fully cured and free from latience and loose matter.
For further details, reference is made to Hempel's painting specification.
APPLICATION Apply only on a dry and clean surface with a temperature of 3C above the dew point to

REMARKS:
Light reflection: For light reflection, use HEMPEL'S TRAFFIC GLASS BEADS 97770. HEMPELS TRAFFIC GLASS
BEADS 97770 should be sprinkled evenly on the surface immediately upon application of
HEMPEL'S ROADMASTER 568SA, while the paint is still wet.
Consumption up to approximately 12 kg/26 lbs per 20 litres/5 US gallon of paint.
Application: When asphalt is not fully hardened and compressed prior to paint application, the risk of cracking
and lifting on edges of paint lines will increase. Bleeding may occur with certain asphalt mixtures.
It is recommended to apply a (small) test patch on asphalt substrates, prior to full application, in
order to check for bleeding and lifting of edges.
To achieve the best result, HEMPEL'S ROADMASTER 568SA should be applied undiluted, by
means of airless spray.
Film thickness: Standard indicated dry film thickness is 200 micron (8.0 mils). May be specified in another film
thickness, depending on purpose and area of use.
Normal range dry is 150-250 micron/6.0-10.0 mils.
Recoating: No maximum recoating interval, but before recoating after exposure in contaminated environment,
clean surface thoroughly with (high pressure) fresh water hosing and allow to dry.
Note: HEMPELS ROADMASTER 568SA is for professional use only.
