HYPNOSIS 101 - SUCCESS THROUGH SELF HYPNOSIS
Human beings are endowed with, Brain, the physiological unit
and Mind, the psychological unit. The Brain consists of two lobes
called the Left Brain and the Right Brain.
The Mind consists of two units called the Conscious Mind and
the Sub-conscious Mind. Most of us were taught to use our Logical
Left Brain and Conscious Mind. For the common man, the terms
Right Brain, Sub-conscious mind and Hypnosis might seem to be
a mystery.
Using Hypnosis and accessing our Sub-conscious Mind all of
us can awaken the unlimited power inside us, be able to understand
our own selves much better, grow and develop much faster, build
better interpersonal relationships, effectively solve our problems
and also achieve our goals.
The Faculty will be led by Mr. Muthiah Ramanathan, our
President who is the Director Training, Mind Dynamics Center.

Development to well over 30,000 people during the last 25 years.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to com-
plain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten tomatoes.
Besides, those having 5 tomatoes also had to carry heavier bags.
After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had
finally ended.
The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the toma-
toes with you for 1 week?". The children let out their frustrations
and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through
having to carry the heavy and smelly tomatoes wherever they go.
Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the
game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you
carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of
hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you
wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten toma-
toes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the
stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???
" Moral: Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so
that you will not carry sins for a lifetime. Forgiving others relieves
you and helps you to lead a happy life.

Dashrath Manji became known as the Mountain Man. Sadly,
this amazing man breathed his last on August 18, 2007 after fight-
ing cancer at New Delhis AII India Institute of Medical Sciences
and Dashrath Manji, a man who was mocked and ridiculed, leaves
behind a legacy
Some invaluable lessons to learn from this Legend:
1. Patience is the greatest virtue that leads us to success
2. Dream the impossible!
3. Attitude determines your Altitude.
4. Stay Positive.
5. Don't lose heart if people call you mad or crazy for your unique
idea/thoughts.

ROTTEN TOMATOES
Compiled by Mr S. Narayanan
A school teacher decided to let her class play a game. The
teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag
containing a few tomatoes. Each tomato will be given a name of a
person that the child hates, so the number of tomatoes that a child
will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people
he/she hates. So when the day came, every child brought some
tomatoes with the name of the people he/ she hated. Some had 2
tomatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 tomatoes. The teacher then
told the children to carry with them the tomatoes in the plastic bag
wherever they go for 1week.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
by Mr. K. Thamizharasan
People often ask : How can I make a difference in the world ?
I am just one person among billions of others, what could I possi-
bly do that would change anything? Everyone else should have to
change in order for me to make a difference.
Well, here is a story of a man who single-handedly moved a
mountain! About five decades ago, a landless farmer, Dashrath
Manjhi from Gahlor Ghati of Gaya, Bihar decided to take into task
the difficulties of his villagers who were almost cut off from the rest
of the world by rocky hills, almost making.
Around 1959, his wife passed away from illness and lack of
immediate medical care when there was no way of taking her to
the nearest medical centre over the 300 feet high hills. Heartbro-
ken after her death, Manji alone resolved to create a pass so that
no one person would have to suffer the fate that his wife did. He
sold his goats to purchase chisel, rope and a hammer. This sud-
den change in his demeanour made him a laughing stock with
people who laughed at him, calling him eccentric and crazy.
Unfazed by their remarks, Manji hammered away with
consistent determination for 22 years. At the end of his arduous
labour, he finally came face to face with his dream: the OTHER
SIDE of the
HILL! He shortened the distance from 70kms to just ONE
KILOMETER, 16ft wide! Once this task was accomplished,

pant. Ms Swarna took all of us to a high with Affirmations.
Mrs Padma attracted the audience with the Law of Attraction.
Ms Soshina, as usual, was all smiles and regaled us with her ex-
position on Happiness. Ms Ragini who had come from Banga-
lore, introduced us to the Wonderful World of TA and
demystified the concepts and made them appear simple and in-
teresting.
Earlier, Ms Ananthi had set the tone for the event by explain-
ing the Differences between Men and Women and peppered
every session with her crisp anchoring. She also brought the cur-
tains down with a free flowing Mass Relaxation. The credit for
lending colour and beauty to the whole show went to the Japa-
nese Ikebana trainer, Ms Dally Varghese who had decked up the
dias and the tables with exquisite flower arrangements. Adding a
musical twist was Ms Bhuvaneswari, who connected with the au-
dience by rendering a wonderful song.
All the presentations were highly interesting and interactive
and evoked great response form the participants. We thank all
the Faculty for their contributions. The thematic meeting will cer-
tainly be a memorable event in the annals of our Circle.

only of want they want, all the time. Along with some action
they achieve their goal.
Positive thoughts only attract positive actions. It is seen that
most of our thoughts are negative as we are anxious by nature.
We would like to prevent any bad happenings, so we start thinking
in a negative way. If you think I dont want to have a bad day you
transmit it as I want a bad day. Definitely you will end up having a
bad day.
Law of attraction does not sift our emotions. It just acts like a
channel. Emotions play a pivotal role. If you have to master your
thoughts you should master your emotions .Emotion is the map of
your thoughts. Never shut your emotions. Embrace them. If you
fell good you attract positive thoughts. Positive emotions will at-
tract positive thoughts and not vice versa.
How to think positively ? Through MENTAL REVISION. What
is mental revision? Go to a quiet place and reflect about the event
of the day. If you have bad a day, reflect what was the reason. You
will get clarity. Thankfulness is another trait we should cultivate .
We should thank our subconscious mind for the positive events
we enjoyed in life . By contemplating on the positive aspects we
automatically break the vicious dwelling on the negative. There is
a very interesting technique called the love method . Once we
start applying this, it is easy for us to think positively.
You need not ell openly I love you. I know you cannot go openly
and say I love you" to your boss. He will think differently. Tell it in
your mind and I am sure it will work for you. To sum up For the
LAW OF ATTRACTION to work you need affirmative thoughts,
positive thoughts, genuine desire, gratitude and redefined action.
When you add LOVE all of these manifest automatically, as it is
impossible for anything negative to arise in this heady mix.

time exercising. This is a simple exercise, and doesnt take up
much time, so its certainly worth a try. But be aware that the
results are modest initially, and it takes some months for the
effects to build up.
7) Discover and Use Your Strengths:
Theres a test you can take at authentichappiness.com, which
will place the 24 strengths in rank order for you, so youll find
which are your real strengths and which are more like
weaknesses. It does take around 45 minutes though.
After the test youll get some details on your top five strengths,
which they call your signature strengths. Research has shown
that if you deliberately make use of these strengths on a
daily basis, you get happier.
8) Random Acts of Kindness:
Kindness, generosity, philanthrophy, altruism or whatever
you want to call it, is the cornerstone of most religious and
ethical systems. For some reason, performing acts of kind-
ness makes the giver as well as the receiver happiness.

LAW OF ATTRACTION
(Nuggets of Talk by Mrs Padma Narayanaswamy - 10 March 2013)
Law of attraction is the key that unlocks life's full potential and
the essence that animates the whole universe. It is not a magic
wand but a self development tool. It works slowly and progres-
sively and gives People what they intensely want. How to use this
law to work for us? We should have an awareness of the law. We
should consciously activate it.
Some people achieve what they want. These people have
channelised their goal, onto their deepest thoughts. They think

AFFIRMATIONS
(Gist of talk given by Ms Swarna Pillai - 10th March 2013)
Do affirmations work all the time? Not necessarily. Sometimes
affirmations do not bring in the desired results. Even a serious
attempt at working with affirmations ends with a negative
experience for many.
-7-
place to take action is intentional activities anything you
deliberately think or do. They are:
1) Expand your Social Network: Join clubs, learn social skills
and generally just get more from our life.
2) Change your Thinking: Our actions can be broken down
into three things thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. Any
one of these things will affect the other two. If you feel happy
(emotion), youll tend to have happy thoughts too
3) Meditation: Take up any meditation as you wish, to make
us happy and peaceful
4) Positive Reminiscence: In a way, this one is the opposite
of the meditation we just saw earlier. In meditation, you
generally move your attention away from thoughts, and
certainly dont encourage them. In positive reminiscence,
you deliberately think about your happy memories. When
people were asked to spend 15 minutes a day for 4 weeks
reminiscing on happy memories, they ended up becoming
happier
5) Pursuing Goals: Scientists believe that happiness is a
system built into our brains to help us reach goals. When we
progress to our goals, we become happier.
6) Expressing Gratitude: A popular gratitude exercise is called
three good things. Its simple; every night you write down
three good things that happened to you that day, and why
they happened. In one study, happiness gradually and
consistently increased over six months of doing this.
In another ten-week trial, participants ended up happier, in
better physical health, and strangely, were spending more
-10-
Louise Hay in her book "Experience your good now!" explains
why. It is not the Affirmation that you repeat once, it is what you
SAY and DO the rest of the day that is important. People say their
affirmations once a day and complain the rest of the time.
Take a look at the following statements. Do you find yourself
repeating any of them?
DMy life is a mess DI never get my way DNobody loves me
DI hate my job DNo one appreciates me DI dont have enough
money DI have no energy DLife is so stressful DI feel like a
failure DI am not good enough
Since every complaint is also an affirmation, the complaints always
win, because there are more of them, and they are usually said
with great feeling! So lets stop complaining! Next, examine your
beliefs. What are the limiting beliefs that are holding you back?
DIt is not done DIt is not right DIt is too difficult DIt is too late
DNobody else does that / has done it DI will get hurt DI will lose
my friends What self-concepts do you hold true for yourself? AM
too old, too young, too fat, too thin, too short, too tall, too lazy, too
strong, too dumb, too smart, too poor, too worthless, too frivolous,
too serious, too stuck !
Use affirmations to change these self-defeating beliefs first.
Affirmations are like seeds planted in soil. An environment of
negative thoughts and beliefs can never be conducive for positive
results.
Always expect results. Feel you deserve what you desire and that
you are worth it. Say to yourself :
DI am good enough, I am worth it DI deserve happiness
DI deserve success DI deserve a good job with a good pay
-8-
DI deserve a beautiful home DI deserve a new car DI deserve
good friends DI deserve the best
Finally, if you have time for only one affirmation, then just say
"I love and accept myself" all the time. Loving and accepting yourself
for who you are, is the greatest gift and highest offering that you
can ever shower on yourself. Because you are worth it!

HAPPINESS QUOTIENT
(Snippets of talk by Ms Soshina Saravanan -10th March 2013)
Happiness is different things to different people depending
upon the situation. Each person is Unique, special and different.
There is no one in the world exactly like us. Believe in it. Building
self Belief is the first step towards Happiness and better life. When
you give happiness to others, automatically you are happy. Your
attitude plays a great role in happiness. Positive attitude towards
life makes us happy always.
Daily changes in your life for happinessn Start each day with
expectation n Take time to plan n Give a gift to everyone you
meet n Assume people have good intention n Eat high quality
food slowly, n End each day with gratitude Happiness = Genetic
set point +Life circumstances + Intentional activities
Were stuck with our own set of genes for life, so no luck there.
Our life circumstances are only slightly relevant. This includes
where you live, your gender, health, money, marital status, and so
on. We can change all of these, but they only take up 10% of the
happiness pie. Ten percent is not insignificant, but the most logical
