1. Sentence Please - Write a sentence that clearly shows you understand how to use these words.
Write compound sentences that are interesting. Check for capital letters at the beginning and
punctuation at the end.

2. Syllables write the following words in syllables.

3. Colourful Words - Use two different colour pens to write your spelling words. Use one color to
write the consonants and the other for the vowels (a, e, i, o, u, and y if it says a long i or long e
sound). Do this one more time. Close your eyes and picture the word in your mind. Now try and
write the word without looking.
