Complete the sentences like in the example. Use the corresponding negative form of the
auxiliary in simple present.

Write the negative forms of the verbs in bold into the gaps. You can use long forms of the
auxiliaries as well as short/contracted forms in simple past.

Goldilocks and the three bears
Part 1
Write the verbs in simple past.
Once upon a time there (be) __________three bears: huge Papa Bear, ordinary Mama
Bear and tiny little Baby Bear. They (live) __________in a great big wood.
One day, ordinary Mama Bear (cook) __________a delicious porridge for her family and
