Following the Farnborough Airshow, organisers and participants are assessing the value of orders announced at the show which by the Thursday had reached an estimated $155 billion! Equally, with more and more air shows in the calendar many have expressed their doubt of how the Farnborough International Air show can survive given the low footfall and lacklustre air display of this years event.
Farnborough is the most important industrial trade show in the country and the largest temporary exhibition in Europe. The UK aerospace industry is probably the largest self generating revenue earner and employer in the UK and Farnborough acts as the foundation by which UK companies can display and exhibit their products and services to the worlds aerospace and defence in industry in one place for one week every two years.
The Farnborough Airshow has been attracting visitors since 1948 and will continue to do so whilst adapting to the changing industrial and political landscape of our truly international industry.
