2.0 Introduction
Alhamdulillah, with His Grace and His Guidance, we managed to fulfill the task given by our lecturer, Ustaz Ahmad Rushdi bin Haroon. Although, this is part of our course work, we had gain a lot of information about Islamic knowledge after we successfully accomplished it. In fact, we are compulsory as Muslims to seek for knowledge of Allah s.w.t creations. We chose the video that entitled as Why fast? and The Month Of Forgiveness as our project work. Dr. Bilal Philips and Nouman Ali Khan are the solo speaker in these 1hour 3minutes 8seconds and 1hour 24minutes 45seconds Islamic Video. The main reason we choose the topic about month of ramadhan because it describes about what we had done wrong during Ramadhan and what we actually must do during Ramadhan. We as Muslims scholars have to prepare ourselves in all edge of perspective because there are many benefits in this month of ramadhan. Insides Speech, Dr. Bilal Philips talks about us(Muslims) that during Ramdhan we(Muslims) are likes feasting not fasting and brief explanations that we should not about to do that.
Ramadan, the month of uncountable blessings and a golden opportunity for a Muslim to elevate himself spiritually and get even closer to his Creator; is a time of the year like no other. Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains in detail the historical background of Ramadan and reasons why Muslims are the chosen ones to be blessed with such unique gift, in an exclusive 2-day event at FANAR on 27th - 28h June 2013.

6.0.1 Video Descriptions1
Based on the video, Dr. Bilal Philips gives a concise account about an important big topic during Ramadhan. Through this video, he highlight an important things to us , Why Fast?.
From the beginning , Allah has been prescribed fasting is obligatory for muslim like been stated in our holy Quran. All religion also fasting but in a different way. So, why muslim need to fast? It was a biq question said by our speech.
When Ramadhan, we are fasting and we will feel starving, qoing thirsty, prohibiting ourself from doing something. Through all of our sacrifice in Ramadhan, actually we will gain a lot of benefits when fasting eventhough we didnt realise it.
Our prophet s.a.w also fasting through his walking life. In his description also, our prophet Muhammad has prescribed for us the best days as a group in the month we dont know the physical issue that are involved well , that was the pool of the moon on the earth and been said the night of decree is better than a thousand months.
6.0.2 Video Description2
The speaker started the talk with explanation on the understanding of a particular ayah of a surah. The ayah tells about when the change of kiblah of Muslim from Madinah to Makkah. Then, Allah says that this is the new nation of Islam. The speaker also uses the resemblances of empire with its capital holding the identity of the empire. It was said that the Jews in Madinah feel insulted on that time; the Jews actually believe that they are the same with Muslim. Their religion are the same with Islam, means that they believe Muhammad SAW is the true messenger. So after the kiblah has changed, the Jews know that they only be in the accepted person if the kiblah is at Madinah. The exercise (fasting) was also given to the Jews but they were different from Muslim. The difference is Jews do not have taqwa, taqwa is meant by protection. Fasting actually is training for Muslim as when we are fasting, there is physical war happening in the body. Fasting will make our body weaker but strengthen our heart. Nowadays, the faults in Muslims thought of fasting as burden but oppositely it is opportunity to recite Quran particularly. When we missed our fast during Ramadhan, we are given 2 options which are replacing it or to feed poor people. Allah recommended us to replace it than to feed poor people. The ayah of Quran is guidance for all mankind directly states that it is not for only certain people but to all. By this, equality of man is made. Speaker said that he notices that a lot of Muslim has Assabiah in them. He also continuously says the ayah of Allah which stated that Ramadhan is special with its Quran. The origin of the name of Musa been slipped into the speech. The speaker come back to the training during Ramadhan with the more we train, the stronger our faith. He reminded to all Muslim to memorize Quran during this Ramadhan, with it must come its sincerity not to show off. The comparison between meeting with Allah and people. If we want to meet important person, we need to make an appointment according to their schedule. But, we are able to meet Allah whenever the time is as from the reply of Rasulullah SAW if someone asking about Allah, he will tell that Allah is near. Besides, the prioritizing Allah in all activity in our daily life. Allah said that we need to be grateful of the gift or nikmah of Quran. We need to appreciate the Quran. We also are given the direct link to Allah which are salah. The ayah of Quran are recited in the salah. Explaination on the deeper meaning of when and if, by the word of Allah when the slaves ask about Me meaning that Allah is waiting for His slaves to ask about Him. The uses of word I, My are used when there is too much love or too much anger. Allah says that when someone asking about Him to Rasulullah SAW, Allah will put Rasulullah SAW aside and answers him directly. There are a lot different meaning or description of Allahs names which tell that Him near. Speaker cleverly used the analogy of the teacher and student. Especially in class, students tend to become disciplined only when there is the presence of the teacher. They will behaved themselves if the teacher is near but when the teacher get out of the classroom, the students will do things according only themselves. This same goes to the attitude of the human, they will only obey to Allah if and only if they realized the presence of Allah near them. Allah said that He always near to His slaves but it is only us that do not aware of it. The dua of each person will be answered immediately by Allah nevertheless of the person as long he makes the dua. Allah still answer the dua of the one even that the guy do not do prayers. Allah also said that He responds to the one who call, the caller. The qualification of the caller is already enough for Allah to answer to. Allah also specifically knows the one who make the call to Him different from the president of country unable to know each one of his citizen. It is said that when is the suitable time to make dua, then Allah says WHENEVER. For Allah to answer our dua, we have to provide Allah things that we can give before we ask for something from Allah. What we do for Allah need to come first and what we ask from Allah come second. But during Ramadhan, what we ask from Allah will come first and Allah making Himself comes second. The goal of fasting is taqwa. The goals of Ramadhan are to complete 30 days of training, to declare the greatness of Allah and to be grateful. The real threat is materialism as we are obsessed with it, the dunya. Young of this ummah are put to sleep by this new gadgets, apps and websites. They can be so strong if Quran be internalized thoroughly. The detoxification of this threat need to be done especially during Ramadhan. The ways of making memorization of Quran interesting in family is by giving incentives. Speaker gives three surah ; 62, 63 and 64 : these surah tells about man losing his iman and tried to regain of it. Every Muslim in the world to listen of speeches explaining the surah. This is people tend to remember what they heard. Muslims are adviced to memorize the surah with its meaning and then understand the meaning of surah from the speech given.
7.0.1 Video Transcription ( Why Fast ? )
Alhamdulillahirobbilalamin . alamin wassolatuwasslamu ala saidina muhammadi asyrofil anbiya'I wal mursalin , our praises due to Allah and may Allah give a peace and blessings be on the last prophet Muhammad S.A.W and all those who follow the path of righteousness until the last day the topic. Why fast is one which addresses the actions of fasting. Why did behind fasting? Of course! the simple answer if a Muslim is ask "why do you fast?" They would say because Allah(God) commanded me to do so , so that's a simple answer , God has commanded so we do it but when people asking , "why do you fast? why fast?" Why put yourself through all goals changes , starving yourself , going thirsty , prohibiting from yourself , things which are in fact good things , Why go through all of that Why would God of us do that. Is it necessary ? Is it something necessary for God to worship on we have too suffer? This is the big question. If God in the bed neverland got , a good God. Why would he require his creation to have to struggle like that , to suffer like that. For us, as Muslims though it is basically sufficient for us to fast because God commanded us to fast, at the same time it is very important for us to understand, why god prescribed fasting for us , to understand it. Why because if we don't understand it and we cannot convey that understanding to our children the next generation. Then, they may find themselves confronted by people from other background who would question them and because they couldn't find answers for those question then you might find them giving up fasting. Believing them , that we can worship God without having to fast. Is nothing necessity . So , that is why it is important for a children who are raising on one hand to be able to comprehend to understand. What is behind fasting and also on the other hand for fasting to being real.
For fasting to be real in then we need to know what the actual goals of the fasting are . This falls under the general headin which I talk about from time to time they heading all in living is I'm in Islam the Libyan free Islam the way all like 0 every component all that way up life 0 has to be needed in of being is just one component I'm a component which as to be a living Oct a worship in an active worship which is a lie in not a dead act and apt on ritual tradition but one which we partied in where Ian we understand that dole's rites and rituals I'm are there for us to achieve a greater goal I'm a goal which is beyond the rite and the ritual the rite and the ritual are a mean a vehicle which would take us to the actual goals of fasting and when we look into the Quranic texts speaking about fasting we see that Allah from the very beginning after describing the fact that fasting has been prescribed is obligatory for muslims "quran texts" that this obligation was not New it was an obligation places on all of the prophets and those who followed them before "quran texts" as it was prescribed for those before begin still fine in the scriptures of the torah and spider the changes which have taken place it still recorded their the profits fasting ,prophets Moses fasting 40-days 4o nights in Prophet Jesus fasting forty days and forty nights neither eating food , nor drinking water it was prescribed before and actually even if you look into the Hindu scriptures you do find in a principal , a principle sanskrit principle of fasting called "upavaasa" or however it's pronounced them thing it according to whats written in translation and it's "upavaasa" and Allah knows best afterwards somebody who knows sanskrit can tell me but anyway the point is that it existed there even in Hinduism and if you look into Buddhism you look into all the various religions you find it there if you asking so there is a purpose usually that purpose is focused on atonement people have committed certain sins so does that mean the atonement the move all sins or you will find it I focused on Thanksgiving however when we look at the Quranic text we find that Allah mode had stated right from the very beginning he most important principal of fasting in simple and clear terms la'allakum tattaqun" in order that you would develop , consciousness of God that you would develop , an awareness in your day-to-day life in your life beyond that day of fasting or that month of fasting you will be more conscious of God and of course when you're more conscious of God then you are going to do more righteous deeds you're going to be a better person that goals hand in hand that is the driving force behind righteousness , true righteousness rightnousness which is not with a hidden agenda because of course you have people were righteous but there's no consciousness of God at all they're doing rightous things because they want to get you trapped , you owed them something they have done you a favor are they will give it to you if you do what they want you to do so you have that kinda of righteous also it externally right as but internally there is an agenda they have certain things that they want to achieve and in order to win over the people it will use acts of rightousness but the real and the true righteousness where they call altruistic good good done for it sake has to be motivated by consciousness of God ultimately that's what behind it the consciousness of God and that is why Allah identified right from the very beginning the most important principle of fasting consciousness of God and it is ture that consciousness as we said that we become better people so we have to ask ourselves before the previous Ramadan an hour after the previous ramadhan was there a difference are we coming to a new Ramadan this same way and that we approached the previous ramadhan this is the question we have to ask ourself because if we are coming into Ramadan in the same way that we came into the previous Ramadan then it is not what we are supposed to be doing the Ramadan that we're doing is not the Ramadan which has been prescribed for us we're doing another ramadhan we're doing another kind of fasting kinda of fasting which is not the one which was prescribed by God it may be traditional it may be customary that this is what people traditionally do in our country everybody does this I do it because everybody else does it yes that maybe the case but to say this was the fast that was prescribed by God if it doesn't have an impact on us if we have not improvement if we are not better people then we have to say of fast is a failure instead of fasting we were feasting instead of fasting we were feasting we spent most of our time enjoying the wonderful dishes of ramadhan and this is what ramadhan tense to be noted for , noted for the dishes so the women spend most of the time just cooking Ramadan you know and we encourage them because we like those Ramadan meals , ramadhan , sweats , things so we encourage them but this is not the goal of ramadhan this is How Ramadan has become corrupted it is corrupt and corrupting into that like the Christians and Christmas you know , how christmas has been commercialized corrupted in the same way Ramadan has become commercialized and corrupted so all of the focus is on the food of Ramadan we miss the goal ramadhan so we end up on eat ten kilos more than we were on the first day of ramdhan you know we have to spend spend the next year working of those kilos only to come and do the same thing over again , you know this is what we end up doing this is the ritual a ritual cycle and every time before the beginning of Ramadan we have the doctor's recommendations in the newspapers people watch out for all reading because new Ramadan we have so many cases of people are brought into the hospital you know with all kinds of disorders as a result over over eating this is about to be the month of fasting and we have so many Muslims in the hospital suffering from over eating because the whole purpose goal direction accent lost why fast why not feast why not feast we feast so if in fact God consciousness is the gold as the Allah said and we are supposed to experience a change that month the day of ramadhan should be impacting on us we should be changing our behavior changing our way of thinking where our behavior is not good a way of thinking is not good in we should be improving should be getting better we should be addressing he problems that we have so that day of ramadhan in fact will be a month of purification because from "name" said you know whatever fast the month of the Ramadan and doesn't have his or her sin removed they have thrown away a great good luck this was an opportunity which they had which they did not apply as they should have a great opportunity thrown away and there's no guarantee that we will make it to the Ramadan following this is the bottom line we're thinking well we still have many more Ramadan to go but do we ? how many people make it to the next ramadhan how many people make it to this Ramadan this is reality we're fooling ourselves we think we have time and that's why the Prophet may God's peace and blessings be upon them Warren death about this issue of time think you have time he said two things about which people I deluded fool "nikmatani ma'bulul fi'hi ma ka'fi roon minal nas" to blessings "ha'si ah tu wal far'ar" good health and spirit time people are deluded you think you have time but we don't have time time is with Allah , you know none of us knows , if we will make it to tomorrow we all assume we will and we worked as if we will but reality is , none of use really knows so it is incumbent on us , it is the obligation on us to look at this fast which is coming up this month of ramadhan look at it as we haven't looked at it before look at it from a new perspective to make Ramadan real to make Ramadan truly alive bring it alive take it from the feasting ritual tradition to real fasting so we can experience for the first time the impact of faith on ourselves ramadan is opposed to be a month of rejuvenation charging our batteries for the coming year it should be something like that we come out strong we went in the year on fast which reach the lowest point and we rejuvenated we come back out strong stronger than we did the year before and stronger than we were when we went in so to achieve that we need to keep in mind this principle of God consciousness on all levels of the fast and you know of course the fast has a variety of levels you could put them into as much as 6 different levels in the end , they all come down to realizing the principles of God consciousness in all aspects of the fast so if we begin with the ritual level up the fast the ritual is that according to the rules we don't eat drink or have sexual intercourse between dawn and sunset for those 29 or 30 days that the ritual now if we just keep ramadhan on there again the night we will feast we will enjoy and will do exactly what it said will follow the letter of the law will have fulfilled the letter of the law no one can say you didn't fast according to Shariah but the gold of the shariah , the gold of that acting fast you didn't catch even on that level that ritual level if we are conscious that as we go into this fast following of the ritual we are in fact obeying Allah so our focus is on obedience to our Allah command that can have an impact on us that can have a spiritual impact on us conscious of obeying Allah command because that is the accent of the day Islam is obedience that is the accent of islam obeying Allah it was the accent of Islam from the time of Adam when he was instructed not to eat from the tree it was about obeying Allah and it is the same principal with regards to allof islam it is about obeying Allah obedience and that is why worship is called Ibadah it's called ibadah , ibadah taken from 'abd the slave the servant who has no choice he or she has to obey the master so that essential principles there and everything that we look at we should look at it from that perspective on that ritual level are from that which were level weekend shift to what may be called the physical love love the past when the physical level of the fast deals with eating in moderation at the accent of it that in this fast there is a level that we should experience of hunger and thirst this physical level we should feel hunger pangs pain which hits our stomach thirst enough for all we should experience it if we're not experiencing it then we're feasting simple were feasting were not fasting were feasting were preparing for soho , soho is briani 'ahhh...' full-fledged a full meal rise chicken mutton 'you know' we all sit around we have knock it off ready so what happens after that then we go to sleep whatever our stomach is still you know breaking down the food all day zuhur or asar still digest it maybe about hour before maghrib , or half an hour before maghrib the digestive process end and now time to breakfast what fast what fast time to feast again and again we see that the table all the foods are all line up waiting for the azan you know a mouth is watering and again that goes and we just dive into it two or three times that we ate so there is no wonder that we gain weight in Ramadan no wonder because the principal the physical principal of moderation in the fast are lost, we're not were not controlling ourselves in terms of our eating because that physical level when we experience the pangs of hunger and thirst is supposed to give us a sense of realizetion sympathy and empathy for those people in other parts of the world or maybe in the end of the world who are suffering hunger suffering thirst, not because they chose to fast because they have no food they have no food nor water to drink starving to death people are dying in different parts of the world as we sit here every day that fast when done in moderation is supposed to motivate us motivate us to want to help those people we can understand what it is like to be hungry it's not quite the same as there is because is not going away for them we know it's gonna go away at the end of the day was not quite the same but there is some kinda commonality we felt that hunger pain but if you never feel the hunger pain and how you want to be motivated it's going to be missing it's gonna be here or it's going to be weak very weak in so when we look at the prophets Rasulullah saw on the physical love love the fast we have to fast as his fast when he went into zuhur he was just eating you know some olives olive oil some hoboes something light in that's it okay, have an egg sliced a bread, okay, not five egg half a loaf of bread, no no and how he broke his fast, he only break his fast with a few of dates and a glass of water then he went to pray.Prophet Muhammad has said the worst container that a human being can feel is his or her stomach.A few morsels of food in to keep their purses box trade are sufficient You just how a few morsels which I enough to keep you from being doubled overin hunger .Sahih Al Bukhari predicted that the time would come there are something unknown except for rare cases people had some biological disorders rare cases and the average person on that time obesity did not exist but today we know from about eight years back the UN announced for the first time in the history of humankind as they know It that the number of obese people exceed the number of people where starving to death for the first time. The prophet S.A.W predicted that would come 1400 years ago he had said that you will see amongst them the obese that would be many and he was also talking about the muslims he was talking primarily about the muslim nation which was supposed to be following his Sunnah of moderation eating never felling one stomach how many people here could say that I have gone throughmthe last week without ever felling my stomach. Put your hand up. you see that not a single hand the Prophet S.A.W said the worst container .We can feel is our stomachs but that's what we do every day.We feel that the meal is complete when you stamach is full you eat until satisfied and that is against the way of the prophetic way and prophet said most of the diseases comes through the stomach is the root on the thing that we take into a body that that joint stomachs that a from there comes all about the problems and while on one hand the physical level of the fast is supposed to benefit us 1in terms of our sympathy are concerned.A love for our fellow human being we want to help them at the same time the medical profession has identified a variety of benefits that come from the physical level up fast among them is a feeling when one fast properly of course is the point fasting properly a feeling of well-being that comes from the fast .It is a product of the fact that when we fast .we stimulate the brain the neurotransmitters in the brain to create endorphins .the endorphins are what give you this feeling all well-being of your exercises you get it there when you exercise finish you feel good that is a product of the endorphins which are produced similarly when you fast without all the exercise it produces it also and of course they have shown that breaks down uses up destroyed cholesterol you know we all know about the problem the cholesterol checking our cholesterol levels and all this kind of thing. So its ultimately minimizes the dangers of heart attacks there major physical benefits that come outta physical level however as I said what is most important is that consciousness that God conscious that we can achieve on the physical level when we fast eating in moderation because that's what's gonna stop us from that three-course sophomore I'd what's gonna stop us from a three course or the consciousness. So we apply that consciousness we are aware of Allah that's going to affect the rest to the fast when the time comes to break the fast again the consciousness stop this from over then it's going to how that for the impact as not to say okay after you finish your fast then you can go eat but again appointed eating in moderation and overeating excess in green excess in other areas of our lives because we everything isn't a good connected sowastage which tends to come with it the excess you know now living in a society we have huge among them waste produced by excess fasting in this way with moderation should raise our level of consciousness of God or Allah and caused us to be aware of this excess and try to avoid it try to encourage others to avoid stay away from the excess,.. Fasting also has an emotional level and a psychological level the emotional level where emotions like anger are supposed to be controlled you're not supposed to get angry while fast is not to save you become angry or your fast invalidated that's not the case but you should avoiding argumentation and things that are gonna get you worked up the Prophet Muhammad said "if anybody tries to pick an argument with you tell them,, 'i'm fasting' that the way out to tell 'em excuse me sorry im fasting I'm I don't want to get involved in such an arguments that restraints in the time of fasting off course once you get out of the fast we finish Ramadan and we have done that successfully then obviously that is going to have an impact on how we deal when we're not fasting.. it will be much easier for us then when situations arise to say it's okay you're right. I accept no problem ,,avoid argumentation some people was say hey look it's good for you win all getting a good argument and let off steam in express yourself dash out screen yeah the time the people that this was a good thing but a few years back scientists said act it's not a good thing because every time you get to that point where you and mangers begin out in your neck and your head when you reach that point what's happening in that bloodbath are bursting in your brain that's what happen not good for you it's not good that they say to get it off your chest no it better for you too he did keep it inside there was gonna come up another way okay you could control avoid comes out another way better that then letting it all hang out so argumentation also the backbiting because this is what's happening all around most of our conversations are about backbiting especially from the female section you know we know it's happening among the men to but the women tend to be noted for it.. when they get together they've got to be talking about somebody you know the one,,,, you see the way she was dressing you see that did you do try Hall yeah back by did it the men they tend to talking envious way all you seem sort of new car this kind of talk when the fasting the Prophet Muhammad said "if we can't give that up then Allah has no reward for us" in of fast on all we're experiencing from it is just hungry there's no real we wanted ,,,,yes the obligation of fasting has been removed from us but the reward that was supposed to get out,,, the life-changing principal of fasting so we have to control not just anger which is like the excess the extreme but even other things which are normal,, where the habit of doing it its common but it's not good it's not good it doesn't make our lives in the better,, it only makes our lives worse because the more you are jealous of other people what they have.. you want to you become dissatisfied why me why do I have this why don't I have my bad you always complaining become a complainer that stressin comes along with it life becomes miserable wretched by the problems Thats why Prophet Muhammad saw said "don't look at the people about you" no matter how bad you think your situation in I know people below you in worse situations that you look at them look at them you seem now I'm not in that situation .so the fast have to develop this kind of character we're not focused in our conversations I'm back by Dean and jealousy in NV these kinda emotions which are negative destructive emotions instructive for our own personalities destructive for our families destructive for communities and the 6 level of fasting,, of course the last level is that the spiritual goals OF the fast... that was the consciousness that we spoke about of Allah a consciousness which prophet Muhammad put in the instruction that whoever doesn't make me intention for fasting before fajar has no fast what prophet mohammed saw said and this hadith is in sahih this hadith is authentic Prophet Muhammad saw said who ever does not intend to fast before fajar will have no fast every day every day and why we could have done it the first day,, why can we just go with that ,,why every day sold out each day of fasting we r conscious making decision,, so we don't go on automatic .you know you on automatic pilot you just switch it into that gear and then you flow through ramadhan no consciousness stress everybody you non-muslims said,,hey you just turn in the night into the day reading all night fasting all day outside the Ramadan you eat all day ,,you fast all night that's how they perceive it because unfortunately that's what we're doing that's what the actually are doing so it is essential for us if you can keep this principle alive every day before fajar (sohor) we make the intention,,,,.. there's nothing to be sad no special thing we say making the intention but is just reflection .I'm fasting what am I gonna do today what the principal those fast that going to try to work on take each day separately each day at a time have a plaque for each day of ramadan... if we have a plan then we have a program that we can follow but we have no plan we just he did like we do every year .I did come we just go with the flow anyway anyhow the end of the ramadhan say ''ahhh'' I did it again I blew my ramadhan maybe next year I'll try again so,,we need to put Ramadan in its proper context that it is in fact design to change certain things about us about ourself things that we build up over the years.. bad habits bad practices.. bad words these bad deeds that we have become habituated to we're now have been habitual when we doing all the time.we know it's not right.Ramadan is chance to stop to clear it to correct it in you know that so many people who smoke and probably more people smoke in the Muslim world anywhere else in the world even though for us is HARAM rest of the world just looking at the package says dangerous to help to get pictures them black lungs and the kind of these.SO,, people everybody knows you shouldn't smoke IN Ramadan never seen anybody smoke in ramadhan during the daylight hours but as soon as the that goes they break the fast with smoke breaking the bath with HARAM so what's happening see the that there is enough motivation there with pressure from society or everything that they don't SMOKE for that stretch of time outside the Ramadan if you tried to get him to stop for those hours cant..no icant yeah chain smoker ones burning the next one is being lit up you know that life but Ramadan actually stop in but they don't take advantage of it don't really benefit that the ideal time with the smokers to quit because you do it every day quit every day for that period of time just gotta follow through at all when the time comes don't break your fast by smoking thrown away.. Ramadan crush up all your boxes cigarettes get rid of home you know tried to get to Ramadan without the cigarettes give it up stop it did in this is the best way.so we need to we look at ramadhan,,what are we doing we only fooling ourselves because surely will not fooling Allah along knows God knows what we're doing if the fast is not been accorded with what he is prescribed then we only fooling ourselves we r checking ourselves we are harming ourselves at the bottom line.so we have to decide we have to decide here tonight we have to decide the Ramadan coming with going to make the proper ramadan we're going too fast as we have never fasted before we want to make this coming Ramadan Real.. if ALLAH blesses us to reach Ramadan.. Then we're going to give thanks to Allah by fasting as we were supposed to fast and no doubt no doubt it is 100% and 10 percent sure if we fast because we were supposed to fast there would be major changes in our lives after ramadan your major changes for the good book.. no doubt the promise from Allah,, you do it right he's gonna help.. so all the people while issues problem cannot find a job do it right and the ALLAH would help you this is the ALLAH promise in and of course after Ramadan we all know this six days in show while we are encouraged to fast on the basis that the 30-day of Ramadan is equivalent to three hundred days why .. because one we did is worth 10.. Allah has said in AL QURAN so six more days gives us , sixty and add 300 with 60 , it is the year. So, FASTING those six days give us the reward of fasting the whole year along with drama is reward of fasting the whole year. So, we should try our best soon as we get past the eat, none of those things ..tried to keep them the same way we did Ramadan don't change the quality , fast that quality of fast, and we have that reward . An outside up to six the prophet muhammad still gave us three days every month in the three- day that the full moon not because we believe in where wolves in we don't believe in where wolves but because those three day the prophet muhammad has prescribed for us as the best days as a group in the month we don't know the physical issue that are involved well was the pool of the moon on the earth ..the tides is something happening there maybe there's some benefit that comes out of fast specifically on those days ALLAH knows best but these are the recommended days every month 3day and further he recommended Monday that Thursday's every week .So if you add it all up you're getting into almost that more than a third between the third and half of the month you fasting,,, if you do it like this thinking Mondays and Thursdays three days on the full moon you know just make that a regular habit masyaAllah.. thats fasting the way of life that's what the prophet muhammad was trying to get to a molded were fasting is that we life not just Ramadan it is with us all time because everything that we stand to gain from Ramadan we needed throughout our lives in throughout the rest of the year we needed those same principle keep in the meantime fasting those extra day will just help to reinforce those printable of eating in moderatiom that controlling our emotion controlling being psychologically sound in how we deal with people you know all the different things compassion looking out helping people all these different positive things would come from that consciousness the Allah and our bodies taking part in the consciousness of allah where the fast touches our hand, eyes, ears, mouth, feet everything take part in fast trying to do what is pleasing to ALLAH .So the fast ultimately has give up what is HALAL..this was that question that the non-muslim with the very beginning he said why give up what is HALAL ? you just hurting yourselves... the point up giving up what is HALAL abstaining from what is HALAL for that period of time is to make it easier for us to abstain from what is HARAM the pressure which called us to the HARAM so is so great that among the only things that can help us over calm it enticement.its magnetism draws us is fasting abstaining from what is HALAL its training.. it is much easier to abstain from what is halal than abstaining from what is hara in Arabic they said that the forbidden is desire and what is forbidden now you interested you didn't know weren't interested at human nature like that so knowing that that is the factor INSYAALLAH I ask and hope to Allah would help us to reach this Ramadhan and take it as we have never taken Ramadhan before knowing that Ramadan there for us to make a change in our lives to turn our situations around some people it's a great turn big change other people lasted weary each and every of us has something there it is there for us Allah prescribe it because each and every one has a bit there is non of us everything is perfect we all have perfection and all committing we all in need of repentense we all in need of purification Ramadan has been prescribe for us as it was prescribed for those who came before us I hope the point is clear Ramadan needs to be brought alive as a life principal and making Islam real
7.0.2 Video Transcription ( The Month Of Forgiveness)
Assalamualaikumwarahmatullahiwabarakahtuh in sha allah i was asked uh... today to speak about sort of an introductory does on the coming of ramadhan all of you know on all of us are excited about the approaching ramadhan and i pray to allah helps us witnesses this month once again in that all of our ibadat before then and especially during that are accepted by allah alzawajal and i pray that every single one of us in every single one of our family members is able to find lailatulqadr this uh... this year inshaallahutaala so, i want to to share with you some reflections about the way the QurAn talks about Ramadhan and there are a few things all of us have to know allah only talks about ramadhan once allah talks about taqwa many times allah talks about akhirah many times allah talks about different profits many times allah talks about many ahqams many times when it came to ramadhan there's only one place that's it there's no repetition it's not mention anywhere else and that is in suratulBakarah any of you know that but the place in which it is in suratulBakarah important to note you know the first half of suratulBakarah is allah give reasons to bani Israel why they are not the choen ummah anymore what mistakes did they make allah make a list in suratulBakarah at the end of that list he talked about Ibrahim A.S why because Ibrahim A.s is the link between the arabs and the jews why he is the link between the arabs and the jews the arabs are children of Ismail and the jews are children of Ishak so that the common bond between them is the grandfather which is Ibrahim A.s Ibrahim A.s is reminded of IBrahim A.s because they say we will always except the prophet that comes from our ancestors and by our ancestry they need the children of Ishak and Allah reminds then why are you obsessed with the children of Ishak and you don't care about the children of Ibrahim A.s because Ibrahim A.s Also is the father of ISmail through when mohammed rasulullah S.A.W so the idea was that this.. this chosen ummah is the children of ibrahim and it used to be true the lineage of Ishak and through lineage of Ismail A.s but at the end of the day there's still all what children of Ibrahim so there's not a change this is not really a change so they are told after they've given all the reasons why they will not be given risalah anymore then they are reminded of abrahim A.s and the story that is mentioned Ibrahim A.s is when Ibrahim A.s was building the foundations of the Kaabah that is mentioned now at the end of this first half of suratulBakarah why is that important because the kaabah that allah just you just hinted at it that he's building that Ibrahim A.s build the kaabah a few ayat later you know what's gonna happen Allah will command the muslims that they should not pray to the masjidil al aqsa they should pray towards Masjidil Haram they should pray towards the kaabah but before he told the muslims they should pray to kaabah he mentioned that Ibrahim A.s was the one who built it why because the jews and us muslims until then we used to pray in what direction Al Aqsa we prayed in the same direction as them we pray the same direction until the ayat came and now the muslims is commended to pray in the direction of the kaabah now you should know also that when the prophets S.A.W was in Makkah it is possible to face the kiblat at the same time faced Al Aqsa you can stand in one part of the kiblat and when you're facing you where also facing the masjidil Al Aqsa as possible but when you go to madinah you don't have that option anymore either you faced the kaabah or you will turn your back to the kaabah and face masjidil Al Aqsa you cannot face both at the same time anymore When Rasulullah S.A.W was in Makkah he was able to face both of them when he's in Madinah he can only face one of them and he was facing Al Aqsa and it hurt him he didn't like .. he missed facing the kaabah that's why Allah have been mentions in the Quran the change of the people are mentioned that's why Allah says we saw your face turned into the sky so returning the kiblah Allah says but anyway the point i wanna make is a nation and please listen to this carefully a nation is known by its capital when you have a nation you have to have a capital and especially if you are a big nation and you have to have a respected capital in the capital as part of their identity you know if one city in a country falls to the enemy the enemy takes about one city or one village a one town no big deal when the country is completely defeated when you take over the capitol when you take over the capital of the country's no more cases at the capitol represents the identity of the nation the kiblah for the muslims is our identity it's our capital makkah is our islamic capital you all face in this direction when Allah change the direction of the kiblah and changed our identity he changed our identity now the jews of that time interestingly enough Allah wants us to become a separate nation yes that's why he change to the capitol and as soon as he changed our capital he says after he change the capital and he says that is how we made you a little nation he inaugurated us has a new nation now
because now we have our own capital the other thing that's important to know this is a conversation especially where i come from because i talk to christians and jews a lot where i come from Taxas AllahHazawajal taches in the Quran that the jews did not like when the kaabah when the kiblah changes they didn't like t the question arises why didn't they like it mean do any of you have non muslims friends if you do if you have a christian friend we have a jewish friends ever hindu friend or you have a buddhist friend whether you pray this way or that way or that wouldn't do they care it doesn't matter if the jews are a separate religion you are a separate religion if the muslims are prays towards kiblah or they don not pray towards kiblah if they're prayin g towards Aqsa or they're not praying towards Aqsa we shouldn't care but Allah says the idiots among the people are going to say how can they turned away how what can turned away from the kiblah that they used to on how come they change the direction in other words the jews were offended jews in Madinah were offended why were they offended because deep down inside the new that so long as they're praying towards that direction that is still the capital which means we are still part of the accepted people
but as soon as the direction changes that means we no longer have our capital we have to accept this as the capital which means we have to accept the children at the Ibrahim and Ismail we cannot no longer hold on to our advantage are supremacist is gone and the site of Allah and this proved that they believe in the messenger of Allah S.W.t you know they don't like to know their own kids being the only the messenger of allah and that's why they were offended and then by being offended proved that deep down inside they had accepted him as the messenger we're still refusing the fools gives up the secret hahaha... But Allah says the fools were say what turn them away from kiblah you understand so the first thing that made us a separate ummah was the change of kiblah this are official we use the by the way we used to fast on the same days as the jews we used to pay the same direction as the jews and made before the five grams we had the same al"""" at the same time of prayers same as the jews why because it was the syria Musa A.s until a new syaria comes we adopted the syaria that was given before us the prophet S.A.W had adopted all of the things from the syaria Musa until Allah give him his own syaria all of it was maintained now we used the fast the same days as the jews.. ayat came down those of you have in mind fasting and have been made mandatory upon you. okay just like it was made mandatory upon the people who came much before you or those people who had fasting his emm fardhan them the jews bani Israel this realize the syaria of Musa A.s so even Allah has say part of their identity is the same as the identity of the jews but in the same surat already separated us from them by separating are kaabah he separated but now he's saying we have something in common with them which is what fasting is the same between us and then and he says lallakumtattakun so that you can have taqwa you people can have taqwa now it's interesting that in the first half of suratulBakarah Allah tralk about who again if you were paying attention who was it the talk about the jews and Allah complained the entire time why don't you have taqwa the entire time the problem is they have no taqwa and now Allah says you are given the same exercises as them which is what fasting and what's the point of all of it so you can have taqwa so lets ..the first conversation i want to have with you was that fasting is something we have in common with the previous nation but why do we fast why do we fast is also the same why the fasting was to get taqwa while we fast also to get taqwa and one attack talk to you practically what does that mean taqwa you know pople translate that is the fear of taqwa comes from the word """""" actually means protection taqwa is similar to ittiqad to seek protection to try to protect yourself that's why on judgment day on judgment day everybody will try to protect themselves so Allah says '''''''''' how will you protect yourself on the day you disbelieve the day on which of these babies gonna turn gray so he uses the word tattaqun to decribe protecting yourself that's what the real meaning of taqwa is to protect yourself allah's says have gave you fasting and so you can protect yourself what does that mean let's try to understand what that means human beings us we have certain training you have to go through training if you want to get good at something especially physical training like if somebody is they want to become a soldier or they want to become a police officer and they have to go to a certain kinds of training and their bodies start learns to adapts like it and at the beginning it's hard to make it easier and easier and easier for them and this idea of training putting yourself in difficulty it helps you in not about by the way when you were in training things are easy when you were in the training program things are easy like for example when they train firemen they set up a fire to put it out but they control the fire it's not like a real fire in the building it's controlled so it's easier they make you would jump down a building but it's easier it's not like the real thing they go easy on you and then when you get good enough then they put you in the real-life situationunderstand that right now the same thing happens with fasting fasting you're constantly feeling something aren't you especially in qatar specially in the college you're constantly feeling thurs we're constantly feeling hungry there's not a minute that goes by that you're not feeling it your throat is fighting with you your lungs are fighting with you your throat was yelling at you and saying gimme water gimme water give me water whether you like it or not you throat are begging on you and you'll tell your throat shot up throat it's not maghrib yet your stomach starts talking to you sometimes very loudly and hey man come on what's going on up there wheres the supply you know and you like it's fajr dude you already start already you know little conversation with yourself but you know what there is a war going on inside you when your fasting there's a war physical war going on inside your throat is against you your stomach is against you your bodies getting weaker and begging you please disobey Allah please disobey Allah and used in the entire day fighting your body and say no my heart is submitted to Allah and therefore i don't care for my entire body wants something i will not give it to it you train your heart to control your body that's what you do when you fast that's what i do when i fast why is that important because when that fasting is over you have to continue the the train of now your heart is ready to control your body so you're not just any eat what you want they're not just go where you want you're not just in a look at what you want because all of those things is your bodies want but who has gotten stronger when he fast the body got weaker and who's got stronger the heart got stronger and wheres taqwa at rest the heart is the plcae of taqwa when you get your body that the weakness you give your heart the strength you train yourself to stop yourself from other things so my my dear young brother the young guys that are in here if you are fasting staying at home and watching movies you're not fasting you're not fasting because then it still your heart is still giving into europe at the wrong temptation the entire exercise of fasting is you constantly remember yeah just like fighting in my stomach just like im fighting my throat i got to fight my eyes i've got to fight my mouth i've got to fight my tounge i gotta fight my my desires i must fight my hormones i have to fight with everything now didn't really see the drinking and the do you know that the eating but everything else if we don't remember this then we become just like Bani Israel they fasted but they didn't have a what they didn't have taqwa man they didn't have taqwa but they fasted if you forget why they're giving their fast then you're just doing what Bani Israel did Allah said to you especially on you and it's your turn now i'm giving you what i give to them they did not benefit from fast and they didn't get taqwa hopefully you will get taqwa thats what Allah say that's what Allah says when they give us fasting what is the first thing people think that what they think the fasting they think of iftar hahahaha.... they thinking of iftar fasting is you're training for real life and by the way and told you when training goes on when training goes on and it's easier controlled fire controlled situations one of the.. Allah made fasting in ramadhan easier is it cage up syaitan does he put syaitan away...he does ...doesn't he so he's going easy on you so your heart can get a chance to train and get better without being in the battlefield the second ramadhan is over Aid Mubarak guess what syaitans is out and the war begins and all of that training will now come in handy but if you didn't train yourself properly hah... look i mean just to help the younger guys if this is for the younger guys if especially if the guy want to join the army has to go to physical training so they make the guy jumped over a wall or climb a while ago on the other side so to what is going to military one of them jumps over the wall the other one goes around the wall it will go to the other side you have to do it ten times one guy jumped over a ten times the other guy walks over it ten times now when they are on the battlefield and they have to go over a wall who's gonna go on and whos gonna fail you understand they both can say i did it and then to the finish line but that's what you wanted to reach the finish line i did it you'll fast and your brother will fast but your fasting and will not be the same it won't be the same because that guy who apply himself in actually train himself with the guy who not train himself they will couldn't get the same results now let's move on Allah says '''' wich means very few days you know what that means the ayat i just talk to you about is not about ramadhan it's not ramadhan yet the word """" in arabic grammar they called it jama"""""""" which means less than ten nine or less wich means this ayat is about the old fasting the fasting before ramadhan wich is the same day after jews or or you know in the middle of 3 days of the month and all of that few days Allah said i make fasting mandatory on you just like the old nation meaning just like them same days as them Ayyamam"""""""" if any of you is sick or you're traveling than you can make it up later :''''''''' and the people who don't have the ability to do that ill they can't make it up then they can feed a poorperson so now i'm going to remind you say you pay attention..................................................................................... there are two things you can do if you missed the fast this is before ramadhan what did Allah tells the muslims there's two things you can do one of the two things you tell me was the first thing no if you missed the fast what can you do you can make it up you can make it up what the second then you can do feed the poor two options there's two ways you can fix it two ways to fix it remember that two ways to fix it but two ways to fixed it before ramadhan or after ramadhan na na na na na this is before ramadhan came down these ayah is not about ramadhan this ayah is about the muslims didn't know about fasting yet they just knew about the fasting like the fasting of the jews and if you fast those fews days when you mised it then you can make it up or you can feed the poor person okay then Allah says: now if you give a poor person sadakah or you feed the poor persons or you volunteered to make up the day Allah says if you volunteered to make up the day then it's better for you is better eventhough i giving you both options you should make it up okay but it's not sinfull if you feed the poor persons this is what the sahabah had okay """" if you fast is better for you if you knew fine now Allah talks about ramadhan so i want you to understand the history first when the muslims first about heard about fasting the sahabah heard about fasting ''''''''' it was less than ten days number one there were two days to get out of it number two and even if you want to voluteered you can make it up but you have the option you have the option okay now Allah says '''''' the month of ramadan is the next ayah this is the only ayah actually about the fasting of ramadhan this is the one ''''''''' now listen i've told you when people think the ramadhan was the first thing that comes in their head iftar '' ''' make sure you have enough ketchup in the house you know you go extra shopping for all the sodas and all things people muslims usually they don't lose weight in ramadhan regain weight in ramadhan hahaha right thats our practice even fasting even if ..if you think of ramadhan the first thing you think of is fasting if you don't think about the food at least you are fasting and you say man ramadhan this year is coming this summer ohhh this going to be hard that's the though goes in your head Allah says in Quran the first thing you should think about when you hear the word ramadhan shahru ramadhan '''''''''''''''''' not """ the one thing that wich Quran came down ramadhan the month in wich Quran came down the thing that makes ramadhan special is not the fasting the thing that makes ramadhan special is the Quran thats is Allah telling us thats is Allah telling us now you have to ask yourself if you are fasting in ramadhan but you don't recite any Quran you are fasting in ramadhan but you didn't memorize not even one page the whole 30 days not even half the page not even two ayahs you not memorize anything in the Quran then how do how do you understand what Allah is saying the entire purpose of ramadhan is to celebrate the Quran and i've told you the first thing you need for a nation is a capital what's the new capital kaabah the second thing you need for a nation in the constitution whats the constitution Quran and when that the constitution is written and pass every nation celebrates every nation that has a constitution has the constitution day the day on wich their constitution was implemented they have that day our constitution is celebrated it was revealed in the month of ramadan Allah didn't give us one day to celebrate he gave us thirty days to celebrate the coming of the Quran this is the month of Ramadhanis the celebration of the fact that a Allah made us an Ummah now we have our own capital and we have our own constitution and we have our own days of fasting no longer the same as the days of the jews no more """"""""" now '''''''' they did not have '''''' so Allah distinguishes us from the previous nation now completely now it's done now if you want to be you want to consider yourself """""" """"" you gotta change the direction you pray and you've got to change the days you fast you don't have the options beyond before they were told ''''''' they were told you can make Ruku' of those who make Ruku' and they might not have had a problem with that why because it is still in the same direction but now it's change it's gone now by the way on a side note recently i made friends with a rabbi and back in texas and i you know he is the research scholar in judish studies and i talk to him about Musa a.s other things so i asked him one day when you guys pray do you have do you have ruku' Quran says about the jews """" it didn't say '''''''' so they says how comes Allah said that to the jews let me ask you if you have ruku' i mean i know they have such that they have ruku' he says we have some ruku' we do it once a year we used to have it all the time and i ask you have sujud? and he yeah we have such those we did put our head on the ground but we have a prayer now in which we complain about how we don't do it anymore (laughing) okay that's that's i mean thats im not making this up he told me this theres a rabbi tell me this stuff you know so they they lost such that and they have something from the ruku'left '''''''''''' and he also told me what their in their prayer actually the final part is ruku' the ruku' comes after and the sajda comes before for their prayer if they do make sajda they make it first and then they make ruku' later and when Allah talking: to mariam''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' they told him to make sajda make ruku' because they syaria' sajda cames first and ruku' came second so it's appropriate to the ayah but anyway coming back to our subject in the in the month of ramadan '''' and he says """"" this part of the ayah is a slap in the face he says Quran is guidanc for all people this ayah is not just for the muslims it's also to the jewish community of Madina they believe that when wahi comes it comes from who? just themselves just themselves Allah says no you are not going to this time this wahi is not just for you it is for all people '''''' he didn't says """" no no no no no '''''' this guidance is for all people this is one of most beautifull things about our religion folks it is one of the most beautiful things about our religion i don't care if you're going to masjid in america or australia or the khalij or paskitan if there are multiple nationalities multiple nationalities and standing in one row you don't make a distinction the rich people should be in the first row middle class in in the second row the general should be in the third row no everybody stands in the same row and it could be that the boss and a worker are standing together and it could be that the workers in the first row the bosses in the last row that could be to it could be that that that works for you and you were praying behind him that could be too Allah makes this guidance for all people and you know what that means he makes all human beings equal just by Quran by the institution of solah we cannot be racist because we have solah we cannot be supremist we cannot be my nation is better than your nation my nationality better than your nationality my language is better than your language my skin color is better than your skin color my village is better than your village we can't do it and you know we are reminded that we can do that on the stand together in solah when the bilal radiAllahhuanhu is standing next to Usman radiAllahhuanhu we are reminded that were equal is ''''' that's what that means you know why am highlighting that because i know it's in muslims i noticed asabiah in mhslims i noticed muslims made fun of other nationalities look down on them talked bad about them talk bad about people that speak a different language the arabi makes fun of the non-arabi the bangladeshi makes fun of the paskitani the pakistani makes fun of the indian the filipino makes fun of the malaysian what's going on here don't we make solah or we make solahs as if that's what i if we're not learning from our solah if we're not learning from this Quran then we're just it's like i tell you we just the shell you know if you have the shell and you have no any eggs inside it thsts it's our islams sometimes it's just that you look like muslims you say the words that muslims say but inside your heart there is no theres no love for your deen everyone of us here that are sitting in this audience so many different countries are sitting in this audience right now it's such an international gathering right here this is the united nations meeting right now you know let me tell you i don't know yourname some of some of you knows my name i don't know your name but you know what do you have a relationship with each other that is thicker than blood it's thicker than blood justse Lailahaillallah just because of that Quran binds us together and this was told to the jews you know why because the jews believe there were special everybody off a second-class or first class everybody else's is gentiles where the chosen nation Allah says anybody can become the people of Quran '''''' open invitation to humanity that eradicate racism nationalism tribalism egotism and get rid of this things subhanallah we are amazing religion isn't such an incredible thing even in america i can tell you they are black churches in our spanish churches there are greek even on the same denomination and then in the in the heart of brooklyn you're gonna have in new york and brooklyn you have different churches different ethnicity you walk into the masjid it was an international conference again all the same ethnicity standing together they not even speak the other languages but they are praying together the same Quran unifies us because when we stand in solah what are we listening to the Quran '''''' """""" and there are multiple proved clear evidence is for guidance Allah took this ayah was supposed to be about ramadhan ''''' the ayah began with shahru Ramadhan but so far he says Quran came down it's a guidance for people it's got multiple pre-approved from the guidance meaning the the guidance it serves miracles that if you look at them you will know this is only th word of Allah '''''''''''''''' and it distinguishes between right and wrong all of this up until now Allah didn't say anything about ramadhan what he's only talking about Quran more than half of this ayah is about Quran why is he doing that because he wants to make sure no muslim ever forgets that ramadhan is about the Quran Ramadhan is about the it's about the miracle of this book i've told you i makes friends with who? rabbi huh? and i told you the fun story about the rabbi so rabbis of course which prophet do they loves most musa we talk about musa a.s the rabbi talks about musa a.s we disagree on everything we talk about musa a.s and i don't talk to him to insult him i want to understand his position i did really want to know about the bani israel from bani israel haha i would really like to know because Quran talks to them so much ya bani israel ya bani israel it talks about their prophets it became our prophets so much for what i know what you guys think so we talk about Musa a.s and one time i told him one of the great miracles of the Quran if don't know is the name musa the name musa i said so what is musa means and they all say musa in hebrew they say mushay so taraktul musa so traktul mushay thats hows they pronounce it musa..what the mushay means the words mu for them is similar to the arabic were ma what is ma means water is the one from water that to them the one from water okay now the thing of it is that means that the words musa is hebrew words musa is hebrew i told him the words musa is not hebrew it cannot be hebrew and he says why not musa a.s is from bani israel hebrew i said listen where was he born of the egypt when he was a baby where did he end up in the castle of firaun who took who is incharge of him? firaun ''''''''''''''''''' and the mother came as a servant so when there's a newborn bab who will name them? the person who incharge or the servant? people in charge and the people in charge will name him with the language of the slaves? if they're going to raise him as a prince it will raise him as a prince yes? they should give name him in the language of the slaves or the language of the master? the language of the master and language of the master is egyptian not hebrew his name is egyption he mane is not hebrew but the problem with the egyption is that the egyption lagunge is died the agyption language was already dead three thousand years when Rasulullah came s.a.w no body knews the egyption language so if somebody ask at that time of the rasulullah s.a.w what does musa means nobody can tell you why not because the egyption language is already dead we live in fortunate times we live in time wheres because of the egyptology the egyption language was revived and translated the herographics and the the fanatics of the egyptian language have now been translated so now we can go back to egyption and find out what . what means? musa means . before i tell you the musa means let ,me tell you the ayat of the Quran Musa a.s came to the castle his mother is his foster mother queen picked him up she took him to firaun and she said you know she said to him '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' maybe he could benefit us or we could take him as a newborn we could take him as what a newborn the newborn the word musa in hebrew i mean in egyption means newborn the musa in egyptian means what newborn she came to fir aun and said maybe we could take him as a newborn maybe we can take him as a musa Quran translated musa a.s name until waladan the Quran knows the egyption languages even it was dead even it was dead Quran translate it accurately she must've called him musa because musa in arabic ..in egyption is musa. and the Quran says we should take it as a newborn ''''''''''''' subhanallah. but you people doesn't have what we have we'd i disagree with him on everything and as part of our identity we have to disagree on our kaabah our days of fasting on our prophets all of it but anyhow now coming back to this really awesome subject Allahhazawajalla gav us how many days thirty days thirty days of fasting and now you tell me was more days before or less day before it was less before how many ways to get out what are those two ways to get out either you can make it up or feed the poor okay this time he says '''''''''''''''' if you are traveling or sick you have to make it up you have to make it up how many options one no option number two no number two so the previous ayah was you have not thirty days a few days less than ten and you have two ways to get out then ramadhan came and now you don't have three days or four days you have how many? 30 days and you don't have two ways to get out now you have only one way to get out of the things gets easier or harder things got harder things got harder and as soon as it's got harder Allah says to us""""" """""""""""""""""""""""Allah one ease for you he doesn't want difficulty for you subhanallah the moments he make it harder immediately after making it harder he said by the way i want ease for you ya rabbi you just made it harder why you telling me you want ease for me how is it easier this is harder he's telling us something very powerful he's telling us something very powerful first lesson from this is Allah will give the muslim the power to fast in Ramadhan that he will be fasting easier in ramadhan than any other time of the year you i can guarantee you when you fast in ramadhan it will be easier and and the week after you fast in ramadhan it will be ten times harder because Allah says he want to ease for you those thirty days will be easier than thre days inside ramadhan subhanallah. thats the first meaning '''''''''''''' Allah wants ease for you the second thing is if you have two days of training three days of training four days of training you've got some training but if you have 30 days of training are you stronger stronger well that training last longer last longer Allah gaves us 30 days with no syaitan Allah gaves us 30 days of all Quran Allah gaves us 30 days of the heart controlling the body thirty days of that he really really prepared us for this training and one of the training is heart by the way when training gets hard then when you finish if you've got a certificate and celebrate you go to people and sais i finished i got my certification people congratulate you to give you a hug when we finish our training what are we have we have aid we celebrate subhanallah we can successfully completed this year's training why were we given this training so that we can deal with the real-life situation now the war with syaitan and yourself begins again let's go go into the battlefield but you know what even though the fasting is no longer with you every day what should now go inside you that you never want to go of? Quran the real weapon you will have against syaitan will be your Quran that's why we when we recite Quran we ask Allah's refuge first '''''''''''''''''''''''' you will come out of ramadhan stronger because you will have more Quran in your heart i'm telling you guys brothers sisters everybody that's listening here you have to memorize quran in ramadhan you if you've been lazy stop it gets started i don't care if you do two ayah i don't care if you do two pages set your goals high ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' aim high aim high say i'm going memorize a whole juz this month im going to memorize twenty pages im going to memorize ten pages i want to finish the juz amal or something aim higher even you don't finish but put yourself in that position when somebody tries to memorize Quran your you know you go to fin yourslef a masjid and you decided to stay back a couple of hours and you're just gonna sit there were maybe thirty minutes forty minutes and you just gonna memorize Quran i can tell you that is one of the most sincere acts of ibadah will you ever do in your life because you're not memorizing Quran to show off to anybody else when you memorize Quran the only one who will know is you unless you have the problem you go over hey brother by the way i know suratul Ghasyiah sup? if you have that problem then see me later other than that if you're memorizing Quran who is it for? yourself and you're spending so much time on every ayah and every time you repeated the angels writing it down because when you memorize don't you have to repeat yourself? every time you repeat yourself the angel write it down and everytime everytime everytime everytime it's not one time for you it's ten times for you twenty times for you per ayah the you the the barakah of the Quran entering into your life this is what we have to do when it's come to ramadhan now the real reason i came to talk oh my god i've only have like how much time do i have? fifteen minutes i need like an hour i just need an hour can i have an hour we pray isya' and continue to? Alright okay okay so this is the part i really want to talk to you about all set the scene for you first i am the head of small institute and i have sixty students in a year i have sixty student i teach them for five hours everyday when i finished teaching five hours i'm tired one student comes to me and ustaz can i have five minutes i only want five minutes i said okay and given five minutes then another one comes and says i only want five minutes and then another comes says i only want fiveminutes and another one five minutes and other one five minutes sixty students come to me each one of them said i only want five minutes how many minutes is 3 hours is 300 minutes? mashaAllah that is a good math program in Qatar excellent phD in mathematics in the house five hours i was already done from teaching. now i in the ICU but each of the students says i've only got five minutes i didn't get any time theres five hundred people sitting here maybe more if i only talk to each of you for one minute one minute it's 500 minutes it's over eight hours. huh.hahaha.. thats eight hours of one minutes and each of you says man i only have sixty seconds.
that wasn't a real conversation ,you understand let me give you another example my one of my daughters had a health problem and we have to go to a specialist we don't just go to the regula r doctor you have to go to the specialist now the specialist is very busy you can't just walk in his office you have to get an appointment and they give you an appointment three months later and you say 'you don't have anything sooner?' no he's booked for three month what can i do okay and if you miss your appointment ,it's nine o'clock, show up at nine of five, gone we have to get another appointment after four months so if you wanna meet important people you cannot do it on your schedule you have to do it on their schedule you have to go on their schedule if your boss calls you you don't say when i have time insyaAllah you go because you on his schedule, he's not on your schedule you on his ... you understand? that's the nature of important people, now would you're a children that's not the case if you call your child , he better show up he's not gonna say 'Dad take an appointment, i will get back to you at eight forty five or something you know i'm free then, eh no you want he show up, he has to show up right away you understand? now, last example if you have the uh... s the employer of a company a CEO the owner he has five hundred employees five hundred employees does he knows all of them he only knows a few managers and those managers have a few team and their team has their manager has sub-team and sub-team so he knows ten people fifteen people you doesn't know everyone doesn't know everyone and if everybody sent him a request directly and he answered them no, he doesn't even care, he doesn't care who's this guy? is he the security guard? , i don't care i'm the CEO, who is this guy ? is this guy an accountant? i don't care he's just any employee now understand this ayat when my slaves ask you about me when my slaves ask you about me that i'm near i respond to the call of anybody who call and at the moment they call me i will not put you on hold he will not go to a voice mail you will not be told within twenty four hours i won't respond whenever you call whenever you call that is not possible for a human being it's not possible even i love , i can't answer you i love my children when they're sitting in the back, my four daughters are sitting in the back and they're all talking at the same time can i answer them no and even if they asks me, one wants to eat ice-cream, one wants to eat pizza, one wants to go home and go to sleep and the other one says let's go to the park i can only do one of
those i cannot answer all of them at the same time i don't have the ability even if i love them after, i say sorry i can't Allah said to His Prophet SAW when they ask you about Me, tell him that I am close and i will answer whenever they call i will answer their dua' whenever they call The thing in Ramadhan the secret to Ramadhan it's ok children cry should not bother you by the way, sister if your kids are crying it's okay other sisters stop looking at her stop staring at her this look look away look at the pretty lights on top or something else stop giving her the look of death now if your child is super crazy then just take a walk and come back because those are only my conditions we should be happy that mothers come to the program, man, its hard if you complain your hard, the baby has been a much harder we should be happy they're here, the mother with their child and their life and all the children that are here, that take a lot of effort to do that, i know i have kids getting them into the car are a jihad fisabilillah, that on top of that that on top of that you've got to drive in this traffic one guy have to go to the bathroom, the other one is hungry, the other one fell asleep when you wake him up, he is cranky.. oh my god .. you know it's not like you single guys out here ...... its not like that, it ain't like that bro you know and and how many of the father he recognizes that his son screaming and if you do, you like Alhamdulillah , my wife is here i don't have to hold the baby but the the talk i'm going to give you guys after solat is about dua' and these ayat specifically these ayat they had so much treasures in them there's so many gifts from Allah in these ayat that they can't even be counted but a few of them i wanna share with you insyaAllah why? because i want to encourage all of you this Ramadhan should be a month of Qur'an and should be a month of a lot of dua' and you can combine both of those things insyaAllah we will talk about how you can combine both of those things .... every time you have an option to earn halal money and on more options are a lot more money but it's not exactly halal then you remind yourself Allah is greater than that money so i'm not going to go there every time you're lying down in bed and the azan is being given for fajar and Satan is holding you down i can't, i can't do it just five more minutes Satan says to you and then you say to yourself five more minutes i can catch the first rakaat i could do it no problem i'm amazing at waking up whenever i want and then next thing you know is ten a.m. right when that happens that at that moment you say that Allah is bigger, Allah is greater than my sleep Allah is more important than my sleep that's what this means the prioritize alone Allah is bigger priority than my own temptation my own laziness my own desire my own urges my own hunger my own greed all of those things are less Allah is greater that's the training of Ramadhan and the ayat ends beautifully and so that you can be grateful now the question is grateful for what the ayat began... so the first nikmath, the first blessing that you and i should be grateful for is what ? The Qur'an so you can be appreciative of the Qur'an now let me tell you if i come to your house and i give you a gift and i bought this for you i bought you some silly crystal thing pakistanis like crystal things i give you a crystal thing you are 'ahh this is so beautiful, thank you' Infront of me, is that insulting i give you a gift and infront of me what'd you do and say you thank me, why would you throw it away or i say hey i bought you this book i thought you would like it owh thanks so much and you take a piece of cloth and you wrap it up you put it behind the fridge i didn't give you the book so that you wrap it up and put it behind the fridge if not why i give you the book .. so that you read it you're not grateful for this gift you understand ? Allah say so you be grateful meaning you appreciate the Qur'an like you never did before once the Ramadhan is over at the flight you found this new relationship with this book you can't put it down you always want to know more about it you always want to recited more Allah has given us a direct link to him no other religion has this no other religion has this , what we experiencing in solat is a direct link to a lot literally the word solat means link that literally means solat is connection literally and the words of Allah that are being recited are what .. connectors to him it's a stretch road of Allah from the sky to the earth .. the Qur'an itself though more connected you are to the koran the more connected you are to Allah the more disconnected you are from the Qur'an the more disconnected you are from Allah.. that's a fact you have to be and i have to be on a life mission to get closer to this book and nobody can say that they're close to the Qur'an nobody this is an ocean that doesn't have an end i can say Alhamdulillah this talk is for you it's not for me it's actually more for me than it is for you so does the deeper you go , you realize i don't know anything i need to go more I need more I need more I need more now the ayat of dhuha SubhanAllah every word of this ayat .. we begin with the word izza izza is .. what is izza , so we begin with izza izza in english means when there's a difference in english and in arabic between when and if i want you to understand the difference between when and if 1so what's the difference between if and when
lt me tell you a story
here's a mother she sent her .... her son joined the army and he went to war now she's missing her son and she doesn't hear back from him ... no calls coming or no emails coming nothing he's at war when you talk to her about her son does she say when my son comes back i would be very happy or does he say if my son comes back i will be very happy which one will she say she says when my son comes back i'll be very happy she does not say what if my son comes back i'll be very happy because if he says if my son comes back and she has accepted that he will die if she say when and then she's expecting him to come home you understand when you lose someone and you really want them to come back and your heart cannot accept that they won't come.. you don't say if, you say when Allah says when my slave asks you he does not say if my slave asks you, why because He's not saying oh maybe they won't ask.. Allah is expecting you to ask He's waiting for you to ask is not just possibility it's like Allah saying when are you gonna ask ? SubhanAllah Izza there's a tawaqu' there's an expectation.. there's a love inside the word Izza if Allah was talking about people He didn't care about then wheather he asks or not who cares... he would be ...... He said izzasa'allah and there's sa'allah itself ..... you can say that izzasa'alu also izza would be that comes with the present tense and of the comes at the past tenses when it comes with the present tense it means over and over again meaning if my slaves ask you over and over again that would've been izza'asaluka and but the izza'asaalaka izza'asaalaka is the past tense the past tense one time something that happens one time meaning I'm waiting for my slave if they can only ask me about me how many times once i'm not even when I'm waiting for a lot of times i'm expecting just one time then He say saalaka they ask you Rasulullah SAW Allah is awaiting somebody says that i want to know more about Allah whose he gonna asks Rasulullah SAW and then He didn't say saalaka ha'ula these people, saalaka lazi na'amanu those who believe saalaka mu'minun the believers saalaka muslimun ashabuk none of these he said saalaka ibadi my slaves my slaves and he didn't even say ibaduna or ibadallah ...he said ibadi the ibadi at the end of that means i ... my slave Allah uses my in Qur'an .. my, you know sometimes He uses he sometimes He uses we sometimes He uses i .. right you know that right when does He uses i... He only uses i when He have a lot of love or a lot of anger its only in two time if you read an ayat of Qur'an with i in it it's either Allah showing a lot of love or He is showing a lot of anger it is only goes to.. there's the normal situation this is an i on a lot of love so he says ibadi not ibaduna my slaves their mine you know even when you when someone is distant from you but they're yours my brother my sister my mother my father wasn't it's not it's not just you own them that you love them when you say might have someone it's an expression of love and there had not held these people may not be worshipping Allah but He still calls them ibad now who did they ask let me ask if you are paying attention the people who asked about Allah, do they ask Allah or they ask the Prophet they ask the Prophet they ask the Prophet SAW so what do you expect is , let we say in english if they ask you about me then tell them i'm near but the ayat does not say tell them, the ayat does not say tell them Here's what the ayat says when they ask you about Me then I am here then I am here ... what is missing then tell them ...... there's no ...... there's does no tell them why not the people came to ask Rasul SAW somebody comes to ask, will Allah answer my dua' i have a lot of mistakes i missed a lot of solat will Allah still answer my dua' will Allah put me in hellfire asking the a'lim , in this case asking Rasulullah SAW and Allah says He put Rasulullah aside and He answers him directly He starts talking to you instead talking to me he's not talking with Rasulullah anymore ..... I'm near I'm so near, I'll talk to you i wouldn't even tell the messenger to talk to you i'll talk to you myself that's the beauty of Qur'an people came and ask Rasulullah SAW and Allah did not tell him you go tell them Allah said No-no I'll tell them myself I'm so near you don't believe me ? why did i say 'you don't believe me' he said inni, inna is used in arabic so if someone is in doubt then you use inna Allah is saying that don't you ever doubt that I'm here why are you doubting that I'm here why do you think i would go away from you you would turn your back on Me I don't turn My back on you you turned your back on Me you disobey Me you stopped loving Me i never stopped loving You you become distant, I stay near the work karibu also means I always near and the sentence actually means certainly i always near let My slaves know now the other thing is how many names does Allah has these ninety nine these ninety-nine so many beautiful names of Allah and the one with .... and some and the messengers was told when people ask you about me, when you ask Prophet about Allah then the most important thing you need to tell them are which name of Allah or description that He is near near... why because when he is near it's easier for you to talk to him when someone is far you can't talk to them when someone is near you can talk to them when someone is near you can respect them , listen kids you guys how many kids in school here kids from school four kids excellent okay what about the rest of you do anyway anyway if you're in school and the teacher walked out of the classroom the teacher walks out of the class, do you behave the same way or not no and don't lie and you're in masjid okay go outside and lie, I'm kidding when the teacher is needed you behave differently you do, don't you now they're taking a test the teacher walked by he just walks by you cover your exam a little more just of his shadow ..... especially if he put his hand on your desk and he looks down at your paper and he goes Hurmmm .... hahaha Malaikal Maut i do that to my students because i really enjoyed torturing them psychologically is one of the great joys of teaching you get to mess with students owh my god Allah says if My slaves ask you about me tell them i am what ? near when you know someone is near you act differently when you know the police officer is near you act differently when you know your boss is near you act differently when you know the teacher is near you act definitely when you know your mother is there you talk differently to your friends when she goes to the other room, you elbow them in the face or whatever when she's there you talk differently when you realize Allah is near you will become different forever he's always needed but uniquely now if he's so near then what would you say ujibu well ujibu means to respond demand for it but there's another word in arabic which is istajaba he said he responded to them their master responded to that so there are two words in arabic ajaba and istajaba ajaba means immediate when you answer somebody immediately without any delays that is called ajaba when you take time to answer you don't answer right away would you answer over time that is called istajaba Allah says ujibu he says i've responded when immediately i respond immediately some people made dua' they say when is Allah going to respond when is the help of Allah is coming i'm sick when is Allah is going to make me better i can't find a job when is Allah going to give me a job I can't get married when is Allah gonna get me married my mother keep turning the list down when is Allah gonna change her heart this one noses was too long, this one's eyes are too far apart this one is you know don't know take care child properly i can get married my mother is killing everything ya Allah, when is my mother ... you made dua' to Allah Allah says i will respond when immediate and by the way by the way these are the ayat of Ramadhan yes so if you really really want immediate answers when you made dua' Ramadhan man and if you really want Allah to be close, get close to Allah 1st recite Qur'an and make dua' recite Qur'an and make dua' owh men you'll enjoy Ramadhanadditional you don't make alot of du'a, you won't enjoy Ramadhan The joy of Ramadhan is in dua' so He says I respond then he says ........ such powerful words he says I, by the way i is used when ... what i say I, we and you used when what it means too much love, too much anger what is this , too much love i respond i myself respond immediately respond now responds to who ? you might responds to someone who makes a lot of dua' i only make a dua like once in a year when you have exams ya Allah i have an exam amin you know when you cut the red light and you're about to get the five thousand riyal ticket ya Allah get the angel between me and the candid license plate and the camera don't let me get the text message the sms anything but the sms you know then you remember Allah Allah now if someone makes a lot of dua' use the word dua' if someone makes the dua' one time just one-time you call that daqwatun daqwah with ... because this is used for with marrah is used for the words in arabic that happen one time ........ means hitting madonna but .... means one-time heads .... would mean food but ... is a single meal the tamarbuta' makes it one time Allah says daqwatadai' i respond to even though one call, the guy make dua' how many time one time, Allah said to him where were you all year you never make solat', you only make one dua' to me whole life forget you you only remember me one time you know if you are an employee and you only show up to your job one time the whole year you don't have a job also who were you i won't care what what i got my job last year what do you do here, you know i i was uh... i don't know what i'm here now at least can we start all over again is your boss was going to say yeah sure of right away sir please get promotion these are can't offer you that Allah giving you daqwah in the way even answer the person who never makes only one dua' one-time even they should say ya Allah that he will answer don't you say i don't even have a beard, Allah won't answer me i only have mustache uh... you know I just watch three movies before Ramadha because i figure i'm not gonna watch in Ramadhan you make dua' ,don't watch movies but don't expect never think Allah not gonna answer even the guy who makes one dua' now you say okay okay that guy made one dua' and maybe it's a really good guy maybe it's like solleh , mukmin someone with a lot of taqwa', lots of ilm and also maybe the guy made taubah ......... I respond to the dua' of guy who made taubah he didn't say that he said i respond to the guy that that one dua' of the guy who called ..... the one who call the description of the guy is that he did what he call in other words that Allah put up any other expectation on him did he said that ....... ........ ....... he didn't say that you have to have taqwa that you have to have iman that he have to have ilm none in this why because Allah is talking to people who are so far away from the Allah and the first thing he tells them is look I'm near you're far, i'm near and then He tells them look i know you have nothing but this one dua' right now that's ok just give me just give me this one dua' even if you just ... just the caller and i have no other description for you i can't even call you solleh yet mukmin yet muslim yet , I can't call you anything i'm just calling you ... the caller that's not even a qualification does that as good or not just call me subhanallah what an invitation from Allah and before i go on i told you sometimes the boss has five hundred employees does he know their names no especially if the employee only sentiment his entire life only sentiment how many emails one emails , how's gonna he remember every sent text messagges, he doesn't have his name saves , he dunno where this number came from Allah did not said ... He said .... the alif lam in the word makes it ..... which means it makes it proper specific in other words anybody who call Allah Allah did not just say someone who called me, He goes to that one who called me that one particular he is you are specific to Allah Allah know you especially personally nor doctor remembers your name if he sees a hundred patients,he did not know your name He just tries his best with come here muhd. haha, every one is muhd. by chance he doesn't know you by nameyou know i meet people, i meet people , subhanallahi

He says whenever whenever, whenever you call me whenever you call me i will answer you one in the morning i will answer you called me in the afternoon i will answer you before you go to sleep you call , i will answer you this is not the whole ayat the first half of the ayat i will answer you whenever you call this is the invitation of Allah how is it that we don't listen to this invitation how can a person stay away from dua' after listening the words of Allah then he says it now i've given you my invitation my invitation is I'm near to you I'm ready to listen to you whenever even if you haven't made dua' except only one time doesn't matter if you have no other good islamic qualities except dua' listen to you what should you do though this is what Allah doing for you what should you do for him he says ...... the other word is that that istajaba also means to try to answer somebody's brother i want to have lunch with you i say i will try to make time i don't know if i can do it but i'll try trying means maybe you will succeed maybe you will fail Allah said ..... they should at least try to answer me you want asking things from me Allah says you're asking me for better job you're asking me for health you're asking me to protect your children you're asking me for your parents you're asking me for a house you're asking me for all kinds of things I want ask some things to you too what about what i'm asking you ........ then they should respond to me they should respond now the the thing is in the fathihah ........ what we want from fatihah anybody know we want guidance but what Allah want from us is ibadah ....... .......... nastaie means we want help but before we ask Allah of what we want we tell Allah what we will do for him what we do for him ... he'll help us so what you do for Allah should come first what you want for yourself should come second but in this ayat of Ramadhan i will answer i wil answer you whenever you call me and then he said you should answer me he didn't say you should answer me then i will answer you subhanallah even put him seconds and me and you first in this ayat people themselves i think ..... they should respond to me this should have real iman mission really believe in me ....... so that they can be set straight so they can be good people they can change themselves subhanallah this few ayat of Ramadhan is transformated imcompletely change the way you think about this month if we reflect from this ayat the relationship you are going to have with the Qur'an the relationship you're going to have with dua' the relationship you will have with Allah is done that these are the things you have to internalize now as i conclude with you guys i'm going to give you at the end of the new some practical things but today insyAllah at least let me give you some observation the thing that you have to look out for the thing we want out of the Ramadhan for the goal of fasting is taqwa the goal of Ramadhan is three things to complete the thirty day training declared the greatness of Allah and to be grateful ........ three goals of Ramadhan itself but now i want to tell you what the real threat to your taqwa is in countries like the one you living like qatar like dubai ,much of the arab world much of the muslim world the big danger to you and to your children is materialism that is the big danger your children and you are becoming obsessed with the car with the brand-name clothes with the brand name phone with the gadgets with the new movie with the new song download this is uh... but you know what uh... hanging out at the mall with facebook and how many like you got on your comment you're getting obsessed with these things your entire life only means these things nothing else and this is a tragedy because the youth of this ummah are so powerful when the young people of this ummah internalize the koran they can change the world really the world will be a beautiful place it just the young people of the ummah wake up but the young people of this ummah being put to sleep by the iphone 5 by this samsung galaxy touch by the ipad by the facebook and those things can be used for a lot of good they can be used for a lot of good but man those things are poison too and the sword is good if you put the point from you but if you put it at pointed at yourself you know if that's what it is these tools the are the force of good, they can be i am on facebook you know how much my pictures on facebook some things i say are on face book i actually almost never on facebook i'll tweet things once in awhile I tweet some messages and never check responses are its never respond to your twitter as i'm leaving a sunnah wait and say something good that will benefit somebody else don't worry but don't caught up in online conversations you have more important conversation you have time for all those conversations where you have time to read all the content of your youtube video when you do find the time where do you find the time i'm shocked so you have to let you and i have to detox we have to get rid of the gadgets especially on the Ramadhan guys get rid of the gadgets delete the video games on your delete the game app off your phone delete them during Ramadhan... then you will redownload them later and i don't care at least for Ramadhan every .. sisters too sister get off of facebook right now i see you but i don't see and the joke is on you but anyway get off of your devices you have to do this with materialism is killing us and i tell you the real anecdote the real solution to the materealism is understanding the book of Allah personally personally understand the book of Allah the more you start understanding the book of Allah for yourself you will no longer be interested in materialism it would not it will not fulfill you will leave you empty this will start giving you joy that you never felt before you get to talk to Allah get to talk to Allah when you recite Qur'an well get what you ask for so this is the practical or some advice i want to give you the warning i want to give uh... you guys in particular and of course materialism is it was happening everywhere but i notice like the malls like the glit like this was walking towards this thing and i don't get angry with them i just feel like we haven't given them the Qur'an we haven't given them something to be excited about, its our fault now the last piece especially for the parents that in the audience here's how you can be a good use of your Ramadhan everyone here should have some goals on Ramadhan here is my recommendation my recommendation is you should memorize a couple of short short surrahs short surrah means a page , a page and a half a couple maybe four of them if you can you know to between two and four of them in the month of Ramadhan and you should not do it alone you should do it with your family you do it your children do it husband does it the wife does it first one to do it gets two hundred riyals now the father will do it very quickly became so but do it memorize koran as a family make it as family project we're all gonna memorize the surrah it's a beautiful thing when a family gets together get closer to Allah swt my recommendation is uh... the mussabihat like if you memorize ..... ....................... they're really help your iman the next thing you want to do this is a getting Ramadhan my recommendation is to actually listened to ...... of those same surrah like that you memorize listen to lectures and explanations of the things we know that you know memorised and a surrah i recommended to you a surrah as it is sixty-two sixty-three and sixty-four those are the numbers of the surrah i pick both of those on purpose because those three surrah are about a muslim ummah that is losing its iman analyze fixing the iman again that's what those days was the ummah becoming week Allah make it strong again he protects it from the hypocrisy and he shows them the fruits of real iman right so that's why does so those are very particularly beautiful and easy to memorize also okay what's the surrah again if you're paying attention sixty-two sixty-three and sixty-four now what you can't i don't recommend doing other studies during Ramadhan but like you know i i personally is the big believer in arabic studies and other studies but those aren't spiritual studies ....... that their tools to get a higher studies you can put the academic studies aside and on the Ramadhan only thing you should do on Ramadhan you know study with Allah directly immediately for arabic students don't do arabic studied on Ramadhan, do Qur'an studies in Ramadhan do tafsir studies during Ramadhan for tajweed student , don't do tajweed studies but do memorize the Qur'an in Ramadhan You understand now there's a project i'm working on that i've basically dedicated my entire life to at this point and the project the goal of this project is to do only two things i believed every muslim in the world who can speak english at least every muslim who can speak and understand english should have access to learn the language of the Qur'an not not just at a beginner level but at a very advanced level that's my belief that every muslim should be available to them and the second is that every muslim should have the opportunity to listen through an explanation of the Qur'an not read well what did i say listen why is that important because when you listen to something you remember and when you read something what happened we forget i remember the speeches i heard ten years ago i don't remember the articles i read ten years ago i don't even remember the article i read this morning but i remember the speeches when Qur'an is presented as a speech you tend to what you tend to remember when you go home and read the ayat of fasting today you'll remember a lot of things i said because you were listening if i gave you a print out of my speech and you read guess what will happen you won't remember it if you want an ummah to get closer to the Qur'an we have to make the explanation of the Qur'an available in video and audio so they can listen and then remember that is a mission the mission by itself Alhamdulillah the first phase of that mission is complete i was i started tafsir at our basic that's your project and local time when i was going to do and translation of the pond and explaining easy language so that the entire family can listen to learn something about the book Allah Ayat by Ayat by Ayat its called the cover to cover project it's done Alhamdulillah posted online i told you try to memorize surrah number sixty-two sixty- three and sixty-four than what i would like to do is go to the website listen to do so onsite joomla when i think one and problem-based utilized the lectures on those those are already up online listen to them two three four times until the message of those surrah gets inside your head it inside your head and next time you standing solah then you recite those surrah you have a real solah your really connected with Allah because you memorize the ayat and you understand what they mean and this something is inside and inside the whole family so when you're at home and sometime you're not in mosque performing the solah at home and whole family understand the whole family will have kushu' in that solah that's what i want you to read so the website for that is bayinat.tv_ if you don't know how to spell bayinat, that's hard spelling i'll spell it out for you ba use your phones cell out so you can put it in you know i know you have cell phone don't blame me seriously and then after i've Done telling you this i'll talk about marriage no i won't but that guy just woke up negative self-harm yeah what marriage .... the website is bayyinah.tv you can check out the surrah .... and ... and... i think you'll gain benefit from that surrah insyaAllah i hope you guys benefited from that the conversation today about Ramadhan dua' on that i have a safe journey back and insyaAllah i will make dua' for you too..assalamualaikum.

9.0 NEGATIVE COMMENTS
Every one cannot run away from mistakes. Same goes to Dr. Bilal Phillips and Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan that could make mistaken during his speech. There are least mistaken I would like to mention which is: He often repeated the same Quran verses. Sometimes, he use a specific words that could make people difficult to understand. He always uses the same word to strengthen his argument which is not good for the speech. 10.0 SUGGESTION
We would like to suggest something to improve the speech expression in order to make their respective speech be more interesting. My suggestion is :
1. Make use of technology in giving speech to ease the presenter and the audience in all aspects.
2. Make use some of warning during the sermon to scaring and awaken muslim about their responsibility as a muslim.
3. Make a beautiful speech script in order to attract the people either they muslim or not.
4. More use of evidence from holy Quran and Hadith to make the people be more believe on the statement or law.
5. Convey the sermon in a loud voice to ensure that people always pay attention during the sermon. 11.0 Lesson Learn
1. Patience We learned in this month how to discipline ourselves for the sake of Allah. In our morning and evening, we follow a strict schedule of eating and drinking. We were constantly aware that even in our such mundane activities as eating and drinking, we must remain under divine injunctions. We changed our habits in our daily routines because we learned that we were not the servants and slaves to our habits, but always the servants of Allah. Then after Ramadan, we have to keep this spirit of discipline in other modes of our life and must continue with our submission to the commands of Allah.
2. Jihad or struggle Fasting in Ramadan and Jihad both of them were prescribed in the same year, that is, the second year of Hijrah in Madinah. Fasting prepares for hardships and sacrifice. These are two important things without which Jihad is not possible. Muslims learn in Ramadan how to struggle against the forces of evil in their own selves, in the society around them and in the world at large.
3. Taqwa To summarize all the moral and spiritual gifts of Ramadan, we can say that Ramadan has given us the great gift of taqwa. Taqwa is the sum total of Islamic life. It is the highest of all virtues in the Islamic scheme of things. It means, God consciousness, piety, fear and awe of Allah and it signifies submission to Allah and total commitment to all that is good and rejection of all that is evil and bad.
4. A Fresh Sense of Care and Sympathy Fasting in the month of Ramadan helps us to understand the suffering and the pains of the poor and needy. By our voluntary hunger and thirst we realize what it means to be deprived of basic necessities of life. Ramadan is called the month of charity and sympathy. We learn how to be more kind and generous in this month. Many Muslims also pay their Zakat in the month of Ramadan.
5. Renewal of Identity with the Ummah Ramadan is not an individual experience only, but it is an experience in community. The whole Muslim Ummah fasts together in one and the same month. We identify with one another in our obedience to Allah. This gives us a new sense of togetherness and association. Ramadan teaches us that the Muslim Ummah is the community of piety and devotion to Allah and its members derive their strength from each other in deeds of piety and virtue.
6. Renewal of Contact with the Qur'an Ramadan and the Qur'an are linked together from the beginning. It was in this month that this divine message was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). We are told that the Prophet peace be upon him was fasting when he received the first revelation. Fasting prepares the faithfuls' heart to learn the Word of Allah. It is the most suitable condition for our spiritual and mental communication with the Qur'an. The Muslim Ummah pays more attention to the Qur'an in this month. This renewed contact with the Qur'an must help us in following its message.
7. Renewal of Devotional Life Ramadan renewed our enthusiasm for worship and devotion to Allah. In this month we were more careful of our daily prayers and had special prayers at night. There is no religion without prayer and Muslims learnt in this month how to strengthen and deepen their religious life.
12.0 Conclusion
With the advent of Ramadhan, a mixture of feelings overwhelm the hearts of Muslims all over the world. The hearts are full of hope, based on truthful promises and great tidings, given by Allah and His Messenger (S), of great bounties and endless bliss. My very dear muslim sister and brothers after reading all this I hope that we all are are going to prepare ourselves to fast as perfectly as possible this coming month of Ramadan by purifying our intention to Allah and following the footsteps of the Prophet, s.aw and his companions. We hope to be among those who shall be granted full atonement of their sins by the end of this month, and among those who will be most happy with their fast when they meet their Lord. Let us not miss this opportunity of Ramadan to be in the hereafter in Paradise in the company of our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w and all the other Prophets. Successful indeed are those who, during this Ramadan, will fast during the day and pray at night. Those who did not will regret it, and regret it strongly ...
