Introduction
Sensor
DARK
This is one of the Light-Dark Sensor, based on op-amp LM358. The sensor works in
two modes which are:
Light Sensing Mode.
Dark Sensing Mode.
Sensor module have mode selection switch by which we can select operating mode of
sensor. When Light Sensing Mode is selected than in presence of light the output set to
high, same when Dark Sensing Mode is selected than sensor output set to high in
presence of dark.

To use sensor you only need power the sensor by connect two wires +5V and GND to
Pin1 & Pin2 respectively. Leave middle output pin for interfacing with any controller.
When LED is off the output is Low.
Select mode by pressing mode selector switch. If Light Sensing Mode is selected than
output goes high only when light falls in LDR section. If Dark Sensing Mode is
selected than output goes high only when no light falls in LDR section or LDR section
enter in dark area. The output is active High and can be given directly to
microcontroller or any integrated circuit with 1K resistor in series (Resistor value
depend upon requirement).
Light Sensing Mode Dark Sensing Mode
Light-Dark Sensor Module & Microcontroller, through which it is interface, should
have common GND & VCC+5V. Current limiting resistor of 220ohm to 1K can be used
to connect Vout pin of Light-Dark Sensor Module with any digital I/O pin of controller
or with any input pin of integrated circuit.
