0 INTRODUCTIONS
There are 7 water treatment plants in Tawau area and 3 more at Lahad Datu area which is
under Fasa DutaMas Sdn. Bhd. They are including Apas Balung Phase 1 and Phase 2 WTP,
Sebatik WTP, Merotai Phase 1 and Phase 2 WTP, Kalabakan WTP and Kg. Murut WTP.
Meanwhile in Lahad Datu there are Kunak WTP, Tungku WTP and Silabukan WTP. All the
plants excluding Silabukan plant have runs their operations. The head or also known as Area
Supervisor for Tawau and Lahad Datu area is Mr. Azizul Murdin with three assistant
supervisors with differents plants to look after. They are Mr Jasmon D. juli responsible at
Apas Balung Phase 1 and Phase 2 WTP and Sebatik WTP. Encik Rizuanshah Badrun
responsible at Merotai Phase 1 and Phase 2 WTP, Kalabakan and Kg Murut WTP and Mr.
Maslan Mawir who is responsible in Lahad Datu district including Kunak WTP, Tungku
WTP and Silabukan WTP. There is also a chemist who monitoring all the plants which is
myself Noor Adlina Akki.
2.0 STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS
In my opinion, there are many difficulty on handling these all plants by myself because
sometimes I have missed some problems that occur in certain plants. For example if there are
plants facing different problems at the same time, it is hard to give fully attention to each
plant during that time.
Other than that sample of water which are raw water (RW), settle water (SW), filtered
water (FW) and treated water (TW) including lagoons and dam should be monitor often to
evade any quality violation that can affect the productions. Moreover, the instrument
especially in laboratory such as Online Analyser (OLA), turbidimeter and pH meter should be
calibrate every month and for me to settle up all the plants require long period due to the
some limitations such as distance.
3.0 OBJECTIVES
I proposed to get laboratory assistants in order to achieve these following objectives:-
3.1 To do the parameter test at the site and collecting the data.
3.2 To make calibration of instruments in each plants.
3.3 To handle laboratory stuffs including their instruments, reagents stock and
cleanliness.

4.0 PLAN OF ACTIONS
There are some plan of actions that I think can be done throughout these process like undergo
an interview. For your information I just require just 2 laboratory assistants who can monitor
plants under Mr Rizuanshah and Mr Maslan. For myself I will concentrate on plants under
Mr Jasmon. Therefore if this proposal get approve from our management, it will be a
necessary for laboratory team to get a car so that we can easier travelling every plants. During
the interview, I will focusing on some criteria including:-
4.1 QUALIFICATIONS
- To fulfil these position, we need someone who have some basic on doing an
experiments, familiar with laboratory equipments and apparatus and able to conduct
calibrations or maintenance.
- Have a licence is a must for this position.
- Other than that, willing to participate in any special training conduct from our
management (if any).

4.2 SCHEDULE
- This is the roughly schedule prepared for the lab assistants:-

5.0 CONCLUSION
As the conclusion, this proposal is to show the benefits that can we get with the aiding
of laboratory assistants. Their services eventually will contribute a better achievements either
in productions or quality of our products.
