DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONS in APPLICATION
Read Carefully before Proceeding to the Application
In this application, you will provide biographical information, study objectives, employment, and other information.
Please note the following special instructions on certain numbered felds in the application:
1.Study Plans (item 16): The requirements for completing
academic work toward a degree vary depending upon the
degree desired, the candidates academic background, and
the regulations of the institution to which the candidate is
admitted. It is usually not possible to obtain a degree in one
academic year. Although the minimum time required for a
Masters degree is one academic year, students should
expect to take between one and two years to complete the
academic requirements.
2.Study Objectives (item 22): The description of your study
objectives is an essential and highly important part of your
application. You should take great care in writing a clear and
detailed description of the program you want to pursue. An
unclear, incomplete or overly brief statement can diminish
your chances for admission to an appropriate program. Do
not list your choice of universities here or anywhere else in
the fve pages of the application.
3.Statement of Purpose (item 23): This essay can be the most
important document in the application. Other parts of your
application test scores, transcripts, letters of
recommendation do not say as much about you as a
person as the statement of purpose can: your proudest
accomplishments alongside your fondest hopes and dreams.
Take this essay seriously and comply with the word limits.
4.Other Essays (items 24, 25a, 25b, 26): Comply with the word
limits and be thoughtful in your replies to these essays. How
you reply will play a key role in whether you are awarded a
scholarship and whether you are accepted by a U.S.
university.
5.Authorization for Release of Information (VII a): The
information you provide in this section is used for the Teacher
Education Masters Scholarship Program Placement Partners
internal purposes and as a release form to obtain
standardized test scores when necessary.
6.Applicants Confrmation of Authenticity (VII b): Certify
