INTENT: This supply of questions is only intended to assist the
teacher new to the We the People culminating hearing program who
may be having a hard time determining the types of questions that
may be asked by panels of judges. By no means are these questions
to be seen as ofcial or necessarily insightful into the actual WTP
competitive event. They are merely provided to assist teachers in
the hard work of preparing their students for a showcase or
competitive event. Please let us know at the California We the
People program whether or not these are helpful and how we may
improve.
Unit I: What Are the Philosophical and Historical Foundations of the American Political
System?
What factors motivated some of the founders to accept that virtue could not be relied
upon to govern?

Should some rights be given more protection than other rights? Why or why not?
