Casual 12 week vacancy

Communications & Events Assistant, Grade 4


Part-time (60% FTE) 22 hours per week

Key Tasks - Communications:

Work with the project team to build and maintain Welsh and English versions of the new PROSOIL
website

Maintain the PROSOIL Excel mailing list

Distribute PROSOIL Newsletters, factsheets, etc, as provided by GDC team, by post/email as
appropriate

Monitor the Twitter feed and add bilingual content as directed by project team

Liaise as appropriate with members of the Regional Development Groups and PROSOIL database?,
by phone and email

Key Tasks Event Planning & Logistics:

Assist GDC team in planning and organising events, including
- Obtaining quotes for catering
- Booking portable toilets
- Distributing invitations
- Printing/photocopying handouts and other relevant documentation

Where required, attend events with GDC to assist with the smooth running of the day and take
photographs, video-clips, pod-casts as required for website development and social media

Key Tasks General:

Provide general clerical support to the project team, including tasks such as booking meeting rooms
and photocopying.

Provide cover for the Project Co-ordinator to minute team/project meetings during periods of
absence

Attend and contribute to fortnightly project meetings

software (e.g. Dreamweaver,
Frontpage) to create/maintain a

including MS Office: Word, Excel,
Publisher, and use of social
media, e.g. Twitter
Experience of creating pod-casts,
video footage
