Is Namaaz really important for a Muslim?

Allah(SWT) says in Surah Maun(107)Ayah 4-6

Narrated By Ibn 'Umar

Allah's Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad
is Allah's Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat. (i.e. obligatory charity)
4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca)
5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan
(Sahih Bukhari,Vol 1,Book 2,Hadith 7)
Narrated By Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "A faithful believer while in prayer
is speaking in private to his Lord.(Sahih Bukhari Vol 1,Book 8,Hadith 405)
Just imagine we are speaking to the Lord of the universe in private without even
knowing what we are speaking to Him.

Not praying and denying its obligation is seen as disbelief and places the person
outside the religion of Islam. All scholars agree on this point. They base their
opinion on several hadith, some of which are:
Jabir reports that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said, "Between a person and
disbelief is discarding prayer." (Related by Ahmad, Muslim, Abu Dawud, at-
Tirmizhi and Ibn Majah.)
Buraidah reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said, "The pact
between us and them is prayer. Whoever abandons it is a disbeliever." (Related by
Ahmad, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmizhi, anNasa'i and Ibn Majah.)

KNOW YOUR NAMAAZ

(4) So woe to the worshippers

(5) Who are neglectful of their prayers,

(6) Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),
Are we neglectful?
Do we know what we read in our prayers?
Or we just do it as a ritual without even understanding what we are
reciting?
Have we mugged up everything?
Same is the case of Quran we all claim it to be our guide but we just
read it for Sawaab (recompense or reward) without understanding it.
How can we get guidance without understanding it?
Let us try to understand the Kalimats or recitation of our prayers.
May Allah forgive us and help us in correcting ourselves. Please refer
Quran to know about other Surah
Let us try to read Quran by understanding it, lets feel the magic of
Quran Ameeeeen.

"All greetings, worship (services) and good things are for Allah, Peace be on
you O Prophet (SAWS) and the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings. Peace be
on us and all the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no
god except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammed is His servant and
messenger.
The above passage is the conversation between Allah (SWT) and Prophet
Muhammed (SAWS) when he was invited by Allah (SWT) to meet Him and see
paradise and hell which is known as Meraj. All orders concerning various aspects of
life were sent to prophet Muhammed (SAWS) on earth. Offering Namaz 5 times a
day was the only order for which prophet Muhammed (SAWS) was himself
summoned to the heavens (Meraj). This shows the importance of Namaz.
The Prophet said, "Allah has forbidden you (1) to be undutiful to your mothers (2)
to withhold (what you should give) or (3) demand (what you do not deserve), and
(4) to bury your daughters alive. And Allah has disliked that (A) you talk too much
about others (B), ask too many questions (in religion), or (C) waste your
property."

The Prophet said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for
him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers
together.(Sahih Bukhari)
