(i) How many students were studying Hindi?

19. In a survey of 60 students , it was found that 25 students stick to internet,26 students remain
busy with mobile and 26 students prefer to read extra books. 9 students prefer to surf internet
and to remain busy with mobile, 11 surf internet and read extra books, 8 students remain busy
with mobile and read extra books and 3 students are engaged in all the three activities.
(i) How many sort internet only? Dont you feel surfing internet in pass time is becoming like
an addiction nowadays.
(ii) How many students are involved only in one activity? Suggest time limit for each one.
(iii)How many like to read books only, in their spare time. Compare the reading in hard copy
with reading in soft copy, i.e. on mobile phone or on computer. [6]

22. In a town of 10,000 families, it was found that 40% families buy The Hindu, 20% families
buy The Times of India and 10% families buy Indian Express. 5% families buy The Hindu
and Times of India, 3% buy The Times of India and Indian Express and 4% buy The Hindu
and Indian Express. If 2% families buy all the three papers. Find the no.of families which buy
(i) The Hindu only (ii) The Times of India only (iii) Exactly two newspapers.

23. In a survey of 25 students , it was found that 15 had taken Mathematics, 12 had taken
Physics, and 11 had taken Chemistry, 5 had taken Mathematics and Chemsitry, 9 had taken
Mathematics and Physics, 4 had taken Physics and Chemistryand 3 had taken al the 3
subjects. Find the no. of students that had-
(i)Only Chemistry (ii) Physics and Chemistry but not Mathematics
(iii)Only one of the subject (iv)At least one of the subjects
(v)Exactly 2 subjects (vi) Mathematics & Physics but not Chemistry. [6]
