Dear Recruiter / Hiring Manager:
I have been a facilities construction project manager for more than thirteen years. One of the most
important and difficult lessons I have learned during this time is how to leverage ever-shrinking budgets to
deliver rearrangement projects without compromising quality or expectations. Working with organizational
processes and finding new ways to innovate is one of my passions. I am looking to become a valuable
team member and am willing to relocate and travel. I also currently hold a Secret security clearance.
Please review my experiences and values below

o More than thirteen years of successfully managing facility construction projects of all sizes up to a
multi-year $14M renovation with a broad understanding of architecture and engineering disciplines.
Organizes projects with contractors, facilities real estate, maintenance, compliance, and EH&S
entities. I also work closely with Construction Field Supervisors to manage contractor work, conduct
site inspections, coordinate local permits and approvals, and manage in-progress scope.

o With advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications to include Project, PowerPoint, and Visio, I
work with business leaders in multiple divisions simultaneously to prioritize and clarify goals, create
and led implementation plans, and regularly balance competing priorities against challenging time
lines. I am the focal point for all contractor bid requests, negotiations, and awards and constantly
interface with Finance to report current costs, and estimate-to-completion requirements.

o I have a track record of building relationships with internal and external customers, general
contractors, A&E firms, and integrated stakeholder teams. I meet regularly with all stakeholder teams
to determine risks and opportunities throughout the project life cycle and control direction of issues
while engaging the correct teams to resolution. I am known for a clear, timely, and honest reporting
structure.

o Originally, I had obtained an IT-related B.Sc. for entry to Facilities CAD Management. Transitioned to
maintaining engineering discipline baselines and now have an extensive background managing
projects for design-build renovations and new expense and capital construction for building systems
and infrastructure. I am a certified Facilities Management Professional with IFMA, have obtained a
certificate in Project Management from Boston University, and am currently pursuing my PMP
certification.

Please refer to my resume and Linked-In profile for additional information. I hope to speak with you to
clarify any questions you may have and talk at depth about how your company and I can benefit each
other. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Michael J Freitag

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Assisted a corporate office standard initiative by successfully managing a $14M, two-year project that involved the
complete renovation of a 128,000 square foot office building. Coordinated with contractors for return of contingency
funds and with the local power company for green initiatives rebates which accumulated a $260,000 credit.

Successfully rescued a major Site-wide hot water project in Alice Springs, Australia from a potential re-baseline and
turned it into an opportunity for increased sales that were to be realized ahead of schedule. The Raytheon Vice
President for IIS recognized my efforts for advancing quarterly sales projections.

Closed two buildings to reduce corporate real estate inventory by115,000 square feet. Worked extensively with
internal management, government customers, and building owners to successfully create new labs, office areas,
relocate personnel and equipment, and turn-over leased assets ahead of schedule and under budget.

Standardized construction processes with specification document revisions for building codes and organizational
objectives. Coordinated with the Legal, Communications, and IT departments to create and administrate an on-line
document web site, which allowed for external users to gain access to the documents.

Co-created and managed a consolidated CADD Department that combined members from five companies and the
UK MOD into the same department, thus allowing for integrated contributions and eliminating duplicated efforts.
