The Role


To supervise construction and installation works for a major hotel complex comprising 4
and 5 star hotels close to the Holy Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to the Senior Architect/Engineers on site, the appointments will entail (but will
not necessarily be limited to):

Inspection of construction works in progress to ensure compliance of materials and
workmanship with design drawings and specifications.
Monitoring of materials deliveries and on-site storage to ensure compliance with
specified requirements.
Monitoring of compliance with specified procedures and general good practice in
relation to site safety.
Monitoring the contractors progress of work and reporting of daily site activities to the
site architects/engineers.
Reporting of non-conformances and site observations and general liaison with the site
architects/engineers in relation to the quality and progress of work.
Snagging and preparation of punch lists of items for corrective action following
completion of construction in preparation for project handover.
Requirements


Suitable candidates will have at least a technical diploma or similar in the appropriate
architecture/engineering discipline and at least 7 years experience in inspection of
construction and installation works on major building construction projects, some of
which will preferably have been gained in the Middle East.

A thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction and installation methods and
materials related to appropriate technical disciplines as well as appropriate sampling and
testing requirements and procedures in accordance with international (U.S./British) codes
and standards is essential.

The ability to effectively communicate with other team members and the contractors site
staff, as well as to prepare clear written reports in English language are also important
aspects of the position.

Due to the location of the project in the immediate vicinity of the Holy Mosque in
Madinah, candidates are necessarily required to be Muslims.
