Last Sunday we talked
about the persecuted
church, our brothers
and sisters in Christ
who are suffering for
their faith overseas. We also looked at
the different ways in which we could
support them through prayer, being
informed, supporting mission agencies
who support them, letter writing
campaigns and so on. We especially
encouraged folk to make prayer for the
persecuted church part of their daily
devotions. To that end you have been
given a copy of the Barnabas Fund
prayer diary with your newsletter. If you
have no other method of praying for
the persecuted church then can I
encourage you to use this. If you find it
helpful then can I also encourage you
to contact the Barnabas Fund and ask
to receive it regularly. Their contact

TEAR FUND RESULT
Last year we raised $700 plus for the
Gift For Life cards. This year the total
stands at $850 approx. and may go
higher before Christmas Eve. Well
done everyone.
PARISH CAROL SERVICE
Tonight at 7pm there will be our very
own Parish Carol service at Runanga.
Please bring a plate of food to share
for supper. Personally I look forward to
it because it's one of the few occasions
that we gather as whole Parish.
