JDESCRIPTION
The 1KZ-TE engine of newLand Cruiser/Land Cruiser Prado is a 3.0-liter, in-line 4-cylinder, 8-valve OHC
with intercooler turbocharged diesel engine. This engine uses an aluminum cylinder head and a plastic
cylinder head cover for weight reduction, and balance shafts for reducing noise and vibration, and an
electronically controlled injection pump to reduce exhaust emissions while realizing fuel economy and high
performance.
The basic construction and operation are the same as 1KZ-TE engine of previous model.
