Telecommunicationsystem:
A dual redundant Digital Microwave Radio Communication System with directional antennas
having space diversity shall be the main communication link between STNS and STNN. There g p y
shall also be single links between STNN to WHPB and between STNS to WHPA.
The communication system shall support the telecommunication requirements of STN N and The communication system shall support the telecommunication requirements of STNN and
STNS facilities such as carrying voice and data communications to / from CPP via WHPB and
WHPA.
Diversity systems including space diversity shall be employed, with two antennas at each
terminal for STNS and STNN. The WHPA and WHPB platform shall also deploy space
diversity with two antennas for the links. y
The redundant digital radio links shall be coupled to redundant Signal Multiplexers. Each link
shall be designed to operate on one frequency in each direction The frequency of operation shall be designed to operate on one frequency in each direction. The frequency of operation
shall be 7.5 GHz and system shall have an initial Bandwidth of 80 Mbps.
The UHF Radio System shall allow twoway communications between personnel in LCR and
within the STNN or STNS facilities and also personnel from other nearby CLJOC facilities within the STNN or STNS facilities, and also personnel from other nearby CLJOC facilities
(i.e. CPP, WHPA, WHPB).
One (1) nonduplicated UHF Transceiver shall be installed in the Local Control Room One(1)non duplicatedUHFTransceivershallbeinstalledintheLocalControlRoom.
Five (5) FM approved UHFFM IS handportable, display type radios to be used by field
personnel. p
A 120 VAC multiway charging station to accommodate the charging of up to six (6) units
UHF Antenna System which shall consist of one highgain omni directional antennas. The
antenna system shall include a lowloss flame retardant coaxial feeder, lightning arrester and
all accessories.
To enable communications between the platform and marine ships, supply vessels and other
nearby platform/rigs as well as for use in emergency situations a VHF FM Marine Radio shall nearby platform/rigs as well as for use in emergency situations a VHF FM Marine Radio shall

A dual UHF FM and VHF FM radio set shall be installed in the crane cabin for twoway
communications between the crane operator platform support vessels and platform communications between the crane operator, platform support vessels and platform
personnel.
The radio set shall be equipped with a heavy duty headset with integral boom microphone
and a press to talk (PTT) hand switch, a changeover switch and a heavy duty foot switch.
A 25 Watt loudhailer for communicating over the deck area is to be provided by the crane
supplier along with one (1) explosion proof loudspeaker mounted below the crane boom.
For reliable 2way air / ground radio communications between the STNN / STNS with
Helicopters one 50 watt VHF AM Aeronautical rack mount transceiver shall be provided for Helicopters, one 50 watt VHF AM Aeronautical rack mount transceiver shall be provided for
installation in the LCR, together with a high gain antenna and low loss coaxial feeder with
accessories.
Two Factory Mutual approved intrinsically safe hand portable VHFFM radios shall be
provided for helideck operations.
Due to the nonavailability of Factory Mutual certified VHFAM Handportable radios, the
Radio Room aeronautical VHF radio shall also include one VHFAM / VHFFM translator,
consisting of a standard simplex VHFFM base station. The translator shall be rackmounted
in the LCR This arrangement will allow the use of FM approved VHFFM Handportable in the LCR.This arrangement will allow the use of FM approved VHF FM Hand portable
radios.
VHFAMcommunicationsshallusethesimplexmodeonupto6frequenciesinthe118136 p p q
MHzband.OneVHFfrequencyinthe147 174MHzband,tobeadvisedlater,shallbe
allocatedtotheVHFAM/VHFFMtranslator.
A fully redundant autochangeover minimum 100 Watts Non Directional Beacon shall be
installed to provide radio navigational assistance to helicopter pilots on route to the field installed to provide radio navigational assistance to helicopter pilots on route to the field.
The helideck wire antenna shall be installed outside the 210 degree helicopter approach
angle. The ATU and Transmitter Box shall be weather proof.

A HF Single Side Band radio shall be installed in the LCR to provide voice communications
between the STNN / STNS with onshore marine radio stations as well as helicopter base between the STNN / STNS with onshore marine radio stations, as well as helicopter base.
The Omnidirectional antenna shall be sidemounted below helideck. The antenna tuningg
unit complete with junction box shall be installed outdoor near the antenna.
The HF radio shall operate on at least 12 user programmable operating channels in the 1.6
30 MHz frequency band.
In order to provide assistance to helicopter pilots and operations crew, a Weather

The system shall have at least five (5) cameras input with audio recording channels and four
(4) intrusion detectors. All cameras shall also be equipped with a wash / wipe system.
It shall be possible to display individual camera in a single video display unit. It shall also be
capable of recording multiple events from individual cameras with playback while recording.
The Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) unit shall be user definable and accessible from the screen. The
system shall have a minimum storage capacity of at least 250 GB and shall be extendable.
A marine Satellite System shall provide a backup voice between the platforms (STNN and
STNS) and the onshore PSTN STNS) and the onshore PSTN.
One (1) Inmarsat IDU connected to a new remote PBX shall be provided. One (1) handset
telephone unit with an RJ45 outlet shall be extended to the Radio Operator Console. telephone unit with an RJ45 outlet shall be extended to the Radio Operator Console.
In order for this system to be used during ESD_1, an explosion proof wireless mobile phone

access points are also located on the Main Deck and in the LCR.

STNN and STNS platforms shall be connected to the existing PABX system on CPP. The

Indoor hazardous area (Ex proof) telephones shall be installed in indoor areas such as LCR,
Switchgear Room and Temporary Shelter RJ11 ports and UTP CAT 5e cables are used for all Switchgear Room and Temporary Shelter. RJ11 ports and UTP CAT 5e cables are used for all

telephones shall be equipped with acoustic hoods, flashing beacons and sounders in high
ambient noise areas.
The STNN and STNS facilities shall be connected to the COMPANY LAN system called
Business LAN or BLAN. The existing BLAN is 100BaseT network at CPP that employs TCP/IP.

The main servers such as file sharing, email, domain controller, web etc. within the Server
cabinet will be available in CPP
On the STNN and STNS facilities, dual RJ45 LAN ports shall be installed in the LCR, , p ,
Electrical Room, Temporary Shelter and FCS server cabinet for interface to FCS Historian.
Cabling shall be UTP CAT 5e. A 24 port switch shall be used at both STNN and STNS
facilities.
The ports shall have dedicated 100BaseT 100 Mbit/s with female RJ45 ports and
uplink/downlink ports. p p
The PAGA system shall provide public announcement (voice paging), one party line as a
minimum and alarm capabilities minimum, and alarm capabilities.
The PAGA system shall be fully redundant with system A and system B. Both PAGA systems
shall cover all areas on the platforms. Speakers and flashing beacons in those two systems
shall be located as if there are twohalf systems.
PAGA system shall consist of one main control panel which mainly contain all indicators,
switches and reset switch, one secondary control panel which mainly contain all
termination, interfaces, line balance assembly, page/party stations, amplifiers, speakers,
flashing beacons cables junction boxes etc as required flashing beacons, cables,junction boxes etc. as required.
PAGA system shall be supplied complete with a 24 VDC battery charger, batteries and circuit
breaker box Battery charger shall be able to supply electrical power to complete PAGA breaker box. Battery charger shall be able to supply electrical power to complete PAGA
system and at the same time charging the batteries as necessary.
One (1) Hotline Telephone and one (1) Remote Access Unit shall be provided each at STNN
and STNS respectively and STNS respectively.
The Hotline Telephones shall link the STNN and STNS Local Control Room to the CPP p
Central Control Room.
The Hotlines shall be pointtopoint links with no connection to the PABX telephone system
