Paris

Paris is a leading tourist city in the world for everyone. It has beautiful scenery and many
things to do in this city. One of the most famous and iconic things in Paris is the Eiffel Tower.
This is an iron lattice tower designed by Gustave Eiffel. It is named after the person who
designed it. The Eiffel tower is Champ de Mars in Paris. The Eiffel has many restaurants and
shops in the tower which adds to its tourism attraction. The best thing is the view of the city from
the Eiffel tower.
The Catacombs of Paris is another famous place in Paris. This could be categorized as
dark tourism. The Catacombs of Paris are underground ossuaries located under Paris. To add to
the dark side of this tourist site, there is a sign at the entrance of the catacombs that says Arte!
C'est ici l'empire de la Mort which translates to Stop! Here lies the Empire of Death. These
catacombs hold the remains of over six million people. In the catacombs the walls look as if they
are made of bones and skulls and have a very creepy environment to it. Even though it is a very
dark and somewhat scary tourist attraction, it is still one of the most famous places in the city.
The Louvre is one of the most famous museums in the world. It has one of the most
famous paintings in the world, The Mona Lisa. The Louvre was originally the Louvre Palace
which was Philip IIs fortress. The museum opened on August 10th 1793 which was the first
anniversary of the demise of the monarchy. The museum features a variety of exhibits like greek,
roman, islamic art, a variety of sculptures that do not belong to the greek and roman exhibits, and
many painting from all over the world. The Louvre is located in the center of Paris on the right
bank of the Seine river. It is one of the worlds largest museums.
If you're looking for elegant fine dining in Paris then Le Meurice is the place for you.
This restaurants decor is based on the Salon de la Paix at the Chteau de Versailles. It features
mosaic floors, crystal chandelier, heavy damask curtains at the windows looking over the
beautiful tuileries gardens across the street. This restaurant is located in the hotel Le Meurice
which is one of the finest hotels in Paris.
Another great restaurant in Paris is Breizh Caf. French cuisine is not complete without
having crepes. This Caf is a sit down crperie and is a great and very affordable french
restaurant.It has basic french decor with some japenses touches here and there makes it a
beautiful looking restaurant with great food as well.
The Chateaubriand is a very popular restaurant in Paris. This modern french style
restaurant has a more plain decor but that doesn't affect how the food taste. Meg Zimbeck is a
food journalists and has revived this restaurant and said They take the ingredients that morning
and put them together in interesting ways and is a contender for the best restaurant in Paris. This
restaurants long lines show the popularity of the place.
The great five star hotel, hotel Le Meurice combines eighteenth century opulent style
with contemporary elegance. This hotel captures the perfect french palace hotel. Each of the
seven floors has a distinct style, with beautifully appointed rooms and suites decorated in the
style of Louis XVI, featuring exquisite Italian marble bathrooms. The hotel is located in the
center of the city. It is near the Louvre Museum. This hotel features the fine dining restaurant Le
Meurice. The room rate is $1093. This is very pricey hotel but the experience would be priceless.
The amenities are room service, a fitness center, concierge service, and is also accessible for the
disabled.
La Belle Juliette is a 4 star hotel that is centrally located in Paris. The atmosphere has
refined ambiance and extreme comfort. The interior design was done by the talented Anne
Gelbard.The hotel is guided by a modern vision of romanticism and urban conviviality. The hotel
amenities are free wifi, room service, a pool, and has a bar/lounge. The room rate is 350 euros
which is around $486.
In the city of Paris the main sport is soccer. Some famous soccer teams in paris are
Football Club of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Paris Saint Germain football club and The French
National team as well. Tennis and rugby are also popular sports in paris. Besides the French
national teams there are not many professional sports teams associated with Paris.
Paris is a very big city for shopping with many famous french shops like Cartier, Louis
Vuitton and many more. The Galeries Lafayette is a famous and huge place to shop in Paris. It is
located on the Boulevard Haussmann. It is an upmarket department store in Paris. It is a pricey
place but you pay for the best things here. The Champs Elysees is the top shopping district of
Paris. They many shopping malls in the district. It is the most popular place for shopping and has
such a variety when it comes to types of shopping.
Every city, no matter how nice it is there are always areas you would like to avoid. The
suburbs of Paris is one of those areas. They have been experiencing waves of crime recently. The
Metro line 1 is another place you should avoid. No matter where you are in the city you should
look out for thieves. People try to steal from tourists so you should always keep a good watch for
that.
Overall Paris is one of my favorite cities to learn about. I would love to visit and explore
the french culture. I love the language and the country itself. I plan on visiting the beautiful city
and exploring all its attractions in the future.
