Therapeutic use/Mechanism in action:

Piles are medically known as hemorrhoids. It is a condition wherein the veins inside or outside
the anus or lower rectum gets inflamed or swollen. Symptoms of piles include feeling of
soreness, irritation or pain while passing stool. As a person passes stool, piles get aggravated
because of pressure on the rectal area. In some cases, when the condition is severe, bleeding can
also occur and cause anal fissures and prostatitis.

Filiban has alkaloids, glycosides, steroids, triterpenoids, tannins, plumbagin, phenolic
compounds, flavanoids, saponins hydroxybenzoic acid adenine, adenosine, benzoic acid,
coumaric acid and para coumaric acid that act as anti-inflammatory agents ,improving blood
circulation and inducing laxative action. The active alkaloids in Filiban have antiamoebic and
analgesic properties.

Caesalpinia bonduc 100 mg
Clitoria ternatea 100 mg
Three myrobalans 100 mg
Melia azadirachta 100 mg

Dosage and administration:

Adults : Taken orally and patients can have 2-3 capsules a day. Leafy
vegetables and fiber-rich vegetable diet is advised. Oily food and
tamarind based food should be completely avoided.

Pediatric Use : Not for infants and children.

Geriatric Use : As directed by the Physician

Diabetics / pregnant women and nursing mothers/cancer patients:

Should use it strictly as directed by the physician

Patients receiving complementary or alternative medicine:

Filiban is compatible with other forms of treatment and has registered no adverse side effects.

Initial Dosage:

2 or 3 capsules a day/ 1-0-1 as directed by the physician after food and never on an empty
stomach.

It is also the recommended starting dosage

Maintenance Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day

Maximum Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day.

Precautions:

The capsule can be administered according to doctors prescription only.
Store medicine in a cool dry place. Protect from light and excessive heat. Keep out of
reach of children.
The patient is advised to follow the doctors diet instructions.
Smoking is contraindicated and consumption of liquor should be reduced to the
